The service at this store gets worse every time I go in there. I think today was the final straw, Ive officially given up on this store. I went in there today with my mother to look for a replacement entry door for my mothers house. When we approached the door department, we saw an employee at the counter and it appeared he was helping a customer. Well, he wasnt....he was simply having a conversation (not Home Depot related) with a buddy. And apparently this conversation was more important than helping us find a new door. After looking at all the models and even pulling a few out on our own, we still could not get any assistance from this "employee". I guess its my fault for assuming that if an employee sees a customer pulling out doors, he might actually ask if they need any assistance. Boy was I wrong!! No one ever acknowledged our existence. Needless to say after about 15-20 minutes of trying to find all the info we needed on our own, we left and went to the Home Depot in Alton. Once again, the service at that store was fantastic. We were greeted by an employee named Kevin and he was quick to answer all our questions. He was able to give us all the information we needed and provided us with a quote for the door my mother wants to purchase. Its sad to say, but I think from now on well be driving from Edwardsville to Alton whenever we need to go to Home Depot. The Edwardsville Home Depot is terrible........

My wife and I purchased carpet from this store in Edwardsville and the experience has been horrible, the billing is messed up, the installer damaged our home, and the Asst. Store Managers, Tim and Pete have bitter and rude attitudes that lack customer care or concern! It has been over a week since we initially contacted Tim with our concerns about the billing mess up. When I called today the customer service rep told me they have alot of new cashiers. We got a 5% discount for using our Home Depot Charge Card and this negated the 0% we were getting on our over $5,000 purchase. We were not told this would negate the 0% and then we are told that it is Citibank that offers the discount in their store. Maybe, but I dont go to Citibank, I went to Home Depot! I refinished my basement 2 yrs ago and the same store messed up the billing in the pro department and it took multiple trips to get it fixed. The Store Mgr. stepped up and took care of it. I think I just dont have time to deal with Home Depot in Edwardsville anymore. Additionally, we were promised an install date and then there were complications with fulfilling that, the installers damaged the banister and walls in my home and now we need light plaster work and painting done, we have spent over 18 hours with the installers in our home and we are not done yet. Very frustrating purchase to say the least!

My experience is specifically around the Edwardsville store and their kitchen cabinet sales and service. Countertop quality seems good overall. However, installation and the associated craftsmanship, service and attention to detail are significantly lacking. Home Depot in Edwardsville contracts with Trend Manufacturing in Chesterfield; buying countertops through HD results in Trend building and installing them. I recommend staying away and taking your business to a dedicated countertop shop with sales, service and installation under one ownership group. Caveat is that for everyday hardware, paint, lumber, the store and service are just fine; steer clear of the kitchen countertop sales.

Would not recommend. Employees are not very considerate of customers cars in the parking lot. Employee let shopping cart roll away while standing there watched it crash into my car doing damage then let cart sit against my car and walked away. This was witnessed by 2 customers in the parking lot. Another employee also witnessed this and retrieved the cart and returned it to the store

Fantastic service...service...service. The greatest part of the service......I was approached by several employees and asked if I needed help...and I did in three separate areas of the store. What a fantastic shopping experience. I always go back to Home Depot, where the selection is fantastic and the employees go out of their way to be helpful.

Great service!!! My husband sent me to the store with a list of plumbing supplies to get. As I didnt know what some of the fittings were I had to get an employee to help me. When I asked an associate he was more than willing to help. I got everything on my husbands list in no time and he was surprised I didnt give him a call one time.

Excellent customer service. My wife and I were shopping for appliances and they took the time to see what we wanted and made sure it was in our budget. Very professional and Kathy is outstanding in the Appliance section. Went to Lowes first and what a mistake, save time and money at Home Depot!!
