Even though the prices are pretty high, this is the most comprehensive selection of liquor, wine and beer in Evanston. Really outstanding range of beer and whiskey, which is great during the long Illinois winters. Ive also heard that taxes on alcohol are higher in Evanston relative to the rest of Chicagoland, because of Evanstons legacy as a stronghold of the Prohibition/temperance movement. If the taxes dont deter you, then this is a great choice to browse and buy your booze.

The worst. Over-priced. Delivery requirements are ridiculous. Charge is $5.00 for delivery plus 30.00 minimum order. I live two blocks away and purchase at the store weekly. They would not deliver two bottles of wine to me and I am a consistent customer. There is no customer loyalty. Better choice is Vinic, Wine Goddess, Whole Foods, Trader Joes or Jewel. When I spend my dollars I want to be appreciated as a customer. I will never purchase from this establishment again.

Beers,beers,beers! This place has a fantastic selection of craft and micro brew beers! The owners are friendly and sample their product. Stopped once on the way home from work, and Ive frequented it ever since! didnt know the place closes at 8 though. Thats pretty uncool. College kids need their courage fluid.

They have a fantastic beer selection, but it doesnt seem like they do a good job of making sure their inventory is fresh. Bought a bottle of Avery Salvation Dubbel and checked the bottling date because it tasted off - was bottled a year ago. Make sure you check bottling date on any expensive beers you buy.

Great selection, a good amount of cooler space for beer, but some of the beer is past its peak freshness date. Be selective and this can be a great place, but wish theyd curate more and educate their staff about the selections they have, especially the high end stuff behind the register.

For an average-sized store (i.e., not Binnys sized), they have an amazing selection of beer (and other boozes, but the beer selection is most impressive). I hate how the store is organized (I always get confused about where to pay/how to get out), but otherwise have no other cripes.

Surprisingly great selection! From the outside the store does not look like that much but they really pack it all in a small site. I thoroughly enjoy going in an checking out what new selection they have. They also have some great specials!

Pretty good variety. Good staff. Everything very good categorized. They also order stuff for you, in case you cannot find what you are looking for. And you can get it in a week.
