Come in for one freaking pharmaceutical item for my wife. Over the counter no issue its 24 hours right? One would think, but Im met by a large man mopping the floor of a caution yellow taped closed off section because theyre waxing the floor?! Really? I can see the item Im here to get, I politely ask if he can hand it to me, not yet losing my attitude. He says ehhh? Walks away keeps mopping...Im still standing there waiting again really wanting to just cross over a yellow line that means nothing, but I do not. Another working walks by and stares at me goes to the other worker again I walk down to the next aisle block still not crossing the line. Asking can you hand me the item? He says "sorry its closed" I start to lose it. Im watching this guy STANDING THERE telling me an area he is in is restricted to me, great, you cannot hand me a small box. Its MAYBE a 10 second inconvenience. Nope. So I walk away pretty angry. Set out to leave when the girl who greeted me coming in says "have a good night " I was ready to just walk out but I said "no" I came here to a 24 hour Walmart for ONE item I could physically see but not get. Youre telling me that I am forbidden to am area because its being WAXED?! Tell me anytime youve EVER walked into a Walmart and said boy that floor sure looks clean. The girl at the front then says "Well they have to do it sometime, thats why they do it at night." I then say they do it at night so.... she says so it doesnt inconvenience customers. " I reply so Im not that..? OK and proceed to walk out. This is the last time I come to this Walmart which is a shame because its very close to home and should be a convenience that all customers can enjoy since its 24 HOURS but guess not... world shuts down at night right 356am? Let me try that mentality next time Im at work overnight in the Emergency Room peforming CPR on someone in cardiac arrest. Oh wait we dont because life doesnt stop when the sun goes down. Sincerely, A very disgruntled (Id say customer but I dont qualify for that)

Was here with my grandmother to pick up some yarn and fabric because its cheaper than the craft stores, however we both decided that it would have just been better to pay the higher prices at the craft store than deal with the lousy service in the craft section here. The fabric cutting station has no one manning it. I managed to find an employee stocking shelves nearby who couldnt help us but would call for someone. 5 minutes later no one came up, so I found another employee who also said they would call someone. 2 minutes later, we decided it wasnt worth it anymore and picked out pre-cut fabric instead. While looking at that, we heard a voice calling from another aisle "someone needed some fabric cut?" we said "youre too late" and without another word they mustve just walked away. Unfortunately the story isnt over yet. We arrived at the check out, and my grandmother was paying for the precut fabric. Neither us nor the cashier noticed until after the transaction was completed that whoever labeled the fabric had NO CLUE what they were doing because 2 of the 3 pieces we had were labeled as anything but fabric (one rang out as "passport photo") and were marked at $25 a piece for something that shouldve been less than $2. We went to customer service and because fabric is usually non-refundable, we had to wait for a manager to explain the situation. Eventually they were able to void out the entire transaction at the original register as though it never happened and everything was re-rung, this time getting a price-override for the grossly mislabled fabric. Even though this is the more convenient Walmart, closest to Grandmas house, we wont be returning to this location ever again, for craft supplies or anything else.

Poor handling of Online orders!!! I placed an order for a printer where I was to pick it up from the Walmart in Darien the next morning. I chose pick up from store today option because I needed it urgently. The next day I see that my order is still processing and not ready yet!! I called up the store and I kept getting transferred to different departments 3 times. When I spoke to the manager, she told me she doesnt know when it will be ready and did not bother to take the time to search my order!!! I figured I wait a couple more hours (through my urgency); yet, no progress!! Now 2 days after my order, I call and speak with different lady, and they did not even know about my order!!! They made me wait on the phone for another 33 minutes and tell me we are still looking for your order. We will call you back when we find it! I am furious with the poor quality and effort of you personnel, and that I cant even change the Pickup Location!!! I request action to be taken against the Walmart in Darien (2189 75th St, Darien, IL 60561) and allow the customer who places an order online to be able to change their location of pickup when the order is still under processing!! So far, as of 2 days from my order, I am still waiting for it to be ready

Cashier charged my aunt for 4 pairs of pants gave her 3, we standing at the checkout line saying where is the 4th pair, holding the receipt in front of him. He calls the manager over and the problem is that there is a 2 DOLLAR difference. Manager wants to go to customer service to do an exchange. EXCHANGE WHAT we paid for 4 pairs and got 3. Give us the 4th pair. After waiting 15 minutes of my time we finally get the item we asked for. ARE U FREAKING KIDDING ME?? ALL WE WANT IS WHAT WE PAID FOR. We are not trying to get over a multi billion dollar company, but my 15 minutes of time is worth more than 2 DOLLARS. We did not try to get 5 pairs of pants for 4. The receipt says we paid for 4, give us four! Am I missing something?? Im not racist but if you are a cashier you have to be able to speak English decently. What other reviews say is right: the language is a problem for employees there. Sorry I will be profiling the cashiers from now on: If I see a cashier that I think that is going to screw up my order or checking out is going to be a nightmare, I will be skipping that line.

Walked in last night to grocery shop and get something quick for dinner. The entire front of the store in the food department was EMPTY. No pizzas, no salads, pre-made sandwiches, no hot food items and the lunch meat and cheese deli counter was EMPTY. Nor was there anybody working in the area to talk to so we left empty handed. Called this morning to talk to a manager to see when they would be restocking the department and of course the phone just rang and rang and nobody answered. Wish I could put ZERO stars for the review. We come here multiple times a week and are followed by the loss prevention associate almost every time too. I was alone one morning with my 3 year old and was being stalked around the store. We left instead of finish shopping because it made me so uncomfortable. I had my husband call and complain. Its not the first time mothers with children have been stalked around the store and have called to complain about him either.
