I have mixed feelings about this place. I have donated a ton here and the people at donation always seemed overwhelmed and sometimes look at you resentfully like theyre saying to themselves "here comes another one" I just dont get a welcome vibe. Its not like I show up with a truckload. I bring a couple bags or boxes at a time, I always help carry stuff to their door, and am always nice. Now Ive resorted to just dropping a few things off at a time in their red dumpster right inside their main door vestibule so I dont have to deal with the donation people. I just went to Target to get yellow legal pads. I found a pack of 3 for under $3.00, with tax they came to about 3.00. I went to Savers the same day to look around and came upon yellow legal pads priced at 2.99 for just one! So be careful, if youre trying to be a "Saver", you might be able to get an item brand new somewhere else. I used to get a punch on their punch cards (you get an extra percentage off when punch card is full) but now that I use their red dumpster I dont get that, which doesnt really matter because I would end up with a handful of these that they wouldnt honor at the end the year. So whether I had full punch cards from earlier in the year or from December, they all had to be redeemed by the end of December. They have sale days on specific items, like 30% off all clothing. Except, if you are buying something else that isnt clothing, they wont let you use your full punch card. I would be more understanding of them not letting you use your full punch card on an item thats already on sale but on an item thats not on sale? Cmon now. On one occasion, I told an associate how a lot of the scarves were getting damaged because of the hooks they used to hang them and made the comment that its a shame on perfectly good condition stuff theyre receiving on donation. They were actually putting the plastic hooks through all the scarves and causing holes and snags in them where the hooks were. Her reply? We buy most of this stuff, we dont get it on donation. Seriously? When Ive donated staff here plenty of times myself and there are carts and carts full of stuff outside loaded with stuff that just got donated and tons of stuff sitting on the sidewalk that just got donated and youre going to look at me with a straight face and expect me to believe that? Oh, and one of the scarves that had a huge hole from the tag? I donated the week before....in perfect condition. Ok all that being said, you can find some good buys here just wish theyd work out a few kinks to make this a top notch organization.

Very mixed (mostly poor) experience here. Ill end the review with good stuff. once, I saw (and took a picture) of a Nerf Maverick pistol (this was 10 dollars new, like 10 years ago) on sale for 8.99. Go f--- yourself if you think Im going to be paying basically new for something that is vastly outclassed by the 10 dollar Strongarm released to replace it. Ontop of selling for basically full price, it was covered in the sharpie ramblings of an 8 year old, with "six pack attack" and "DEAD" and other random nonsense written on it in red, green and black. This thing was in poor condition. Later I saw a Nerf Longshot being sold for 12 dollars... it was literally cracked in half. The firing breech was cracked and splintering, which means if a kid tried to prime and fire the thing when they got home, chances are shards of plastic would fly back into their eyes and blind them. Thats a danger to the buyer. Plus the top tactical rail was literally torn off. I dont know what sick demented child broke this thing before donating it, but it should have been thrown away. They were also selling a Rebelle crossbow for 3 dollars with a broken catch mechanism, meaning it cant even work unless you buy a replacement part for it (which you cant, which means you have to buy a whole new one.) On the positive end Ive found a Nerf Titan missile launcher (4.99, a very fair price) and I LOVE it. Ive also gotten a Nerf Raider with the stock (3.99) and a Nerf Quick 6 (3.99), which are somewhat outdated but as a modder I can make them compete with modern equipment. Savers, as long as you keep your Nerf stuff for sale at 4-5 bucks and down, Ill keep coming. (although other resale stores do 2-3 dollars which is sweet) If you sell something for 12+ bucks, it damn well better be something new AND in working, nice condition. Otherwise, I end up getting much nicer deals at the Goodwill.

The store itself is often far from clean and the inventory itself is not cleaned by the store when it is donated. For that reason it is not completely uncommon to find rather dirty items, sometime with bugs included. The store also has an issue with removing dangerous items from its inventory. On separate occasions I have found pills, road flares, and moth balls with the stores inventory. Due to those reasons I suggest keeping a close eye on young children when in the store. Another cause for concern are the customers. I know several people, some employees of Savers, who have been harassed by customers. As far as I know, the management has never worked to address these issues. On the positive side, Savers has a large selection of constantly changing inventory. Despite the pricing generally being on the high side, if one looks hard enough a great deal can almodt always be found. In short, this location of Savers often has dirty, overpriced items and questionable customers, but good deals can be found and some employees are rather friendly.

Prices are very high for a resale store. Most of the items are at or close to retail price. If I stop here I always Google anything I am interested in to make sure it is reasonable. Example: They had a small guitar amp I like for $80 used. When I researched it online it sells for $85 NEW. Average used price in excellent condition was $50. Showed it to the manager over a week later and she said they can not lower the price and if it does not sell they will just recycle it. Like the previous person said once in a while a good deal. Clothes expensive!

In the realm of second hand, used goods stores Savers is by far over priced! If youre a true thrift store fanatic stop on over and walk out empty handed. Sure itll be a deal Im comparison to full price, but if you look next door in the SAME shopping Plaza...Marshalls has designer clothes BRAND NEW that cost LESS then what savers has marked on clothing. Dont waste your time here when you can find better deals on those Facebook garage sites! (& you dont have to leave your couch to do that)

Id give em a VG except for the fact that its for profit and their pricing reflects that. While I HAVE found some really good deals on stuff, I constantly find things that are 1) priced at retail, 2) broken/missing vital parts, 3) just plain dirty/disgusting and 4) obsolete. The deals are there, theyre just few and far between. Best suggestion: donate something right before going in and get the 20% coupon, thatll make their prices more reasonable.
