We spend a month or two every year in Italy and Grazianos is essential to stave off "culinary withdrawal symptoms". Grazianos is the best place for Italian foodstuffs! The prices are very, very good, the selection more than covers the basics, and they have many treats artfully crammed into their space. It has hardly changed in the 40 plus years my family has depended on them -- any changes have only been improvements. Their service is kind, courteous and thoughtful. Their cheeses and their barrels filled with spices, dried herbs and beans are all value priced. If you are contemplating a large order, the most efficient use of your time suggests coming not at lunchtime, but the "show" of a high energy staff is always interesting. The Graziano family is always happy to serve everyone -- someone who just wants a 1/4 pound of cheese to someone stocking a restaurant. Any friends we have referred to them become lifelong customers, and I hope you will, too. Your cooking has never been better after youve stocked up at Grazianos.

If I could give this 3.5 stars I would. Its better than average but I wasnt as wowed as I thought I would be given the Yelp reviews and the spot on Chicagos Best awhile back. I grabbed a sandwich to go from JPGs - a prosciutto sandwich specifically. Now, not being a fan of tomatoes, I asked them to substitute giardinere instead. But when I got home and dug in, I didnt really notice it - in fact, I think they forgot it altogether (though the sandwich was sans tomato, which was a good thing!). The bread was good, the prosciutto could have been a little more robust. I plan to try the place again - I honestly feel a bit like an outcast with the three star review, but Ive had better sandwiches at Capri in River Forest, Alpine and Al & Joes.

Ive eaten at a lot of sandwich joints in the area but Ive never seen a sandwich wrapped in so much paper like the one I got from these bozos. When I complained about my sandwich being wrapped in, not one, not two, not three, but FOUR jumbo sheets of butcher paper...and a paper bag (even though it was to be eaten in), he looked at me as if I was nuts. The sandwich was tasty but the consumer should be aware of other things about an eating establishment besides the quality of food before patronizing it. These people are criminal wasters - a cancer to our planet. I wont eat there again.

Walked here for lunch while visiting a friend in Chicago. Lots of people came in and out and got sandwiches to-go. I stayed inside to warm up and sat at one of two tables. I ordered the Italian sandwich. It was great, but couldve used some hot peppers or giardiniera. I wish I would have added them to my sandwich. The bread was fresh and had a crispy outside but soft inside; perfection! Everyone working there was super friendly and genuinely cared about the food and service they give. Theyve been open for many, many years and I see why. Ill be back next time Im in Chicago!

Very large subs for the price and a wonderful family owned atmosphere. Heres how to order a sandwich for new comers: 1. As you enter stay the the right and get in line by the counter 2. Once acknowledged, give your sandwich order and stay in line 3. Grab extras like drinks and chips as the line moves to the crash register 4. Pay and follow the line back to the front of the store 5. Stay in order and by the time you reach the entrance again your sando will be ready! Theyll call you by the sandwich, not name or number. Enjoy!

What a delicious Italian sub Ive just had! Grazianos definitely met my expectations based on others reviews. I cant wait to try the other subs (The veggie really caught my attention) The service and prompt attention, along with the quality of the food makes Grazianos a must stop while in the West Loop. Also, for the price, the subs were a lot bigger than I had expected. I actually had to save half of my sub for later. Which, when thinking about it, means that Grazianos has definitely set me for the day! What a treat!!

Yep, its a five-banger for JPGs. I waited until I had a bit more experience here before writing anything so I could see if it was consistency or just coincidence that I fell in love with this place the moment I walked through the door. The "Mr. G." with hot peppers is the way to go, hands down. We ordered something like 20 sandwiches for an office lunch and Im happy to report a complete success! All sandwiches made properly, all labeled properly, none forgotten nor screwed up. Everyone was quite happy, and very full.

To Jimmy, we were in the store yesterday. I have been coming to the store for 46 years sure its once a year but was important to our family. I have never felt so uncomfortable in all the years I have been there. My cousin cried when we got back to the suburbs. I asked you for Parma, you said thats ham just so you know its a region of Italy that makes Parmigiano. We have traveled there every year this time of year and always felt like it was part of our Christmas. Well we wont have to spend the money on gas next year.

Im making a soup requires Fava Beans. Where in the world would I find Fava Beans? Whole Foods? -no, Trader Joes? - no. Le Beau - of course. My favorite Cottage Cheese is Nancys low fat. Le Beau wasnt carrying it. I asked them to bring it in. They now stock it as a regular item. Sure parking is hard - but I find I can park in front or on the street nearby about 75% of the time. I also can find everything on my shopping list about 90% of the time.

The best kept lunch secret in the W Loop, I feel guilty writing this review if it means Ill have to wait longer in line. For $2 more than the national chains, youll get a better quality sub, handmade to order. Everyone who works there is friendly and attentive. Sometimes the matriarch of the family works the register, making you feel like youre in her kitchen. Id eat there 3x a week, if my schedule allowed.

Hands down the best place to get an Italian sub. Not many places where you can shop for imported deli and cheeses while you wait for your sandwich. Its always a treat for me to go there because I sense the history of the place. The owners are great and they really do put great care and work into providing quality ingredients and food. Family owned and in business since 1937, that says plenty.

Every sandwich is great. This is a great place if youre looking for a traditional sub. Ive never been to the shop but my company orders regularly. The Spicy, Italian and Tuna sandwiches are my favorite but all the others are very solid sandwiches. Im not sure if its their own or what brand but they have awesome giardiniera! The bread is always fresh and the dressings are phenomenal.

Delicious Italian subs that cant be beat elsewhere in the city. This is a go-to where we take out of town guests who want a unique Chicago "institution" experience for the West Loop neighborhood. The spicy and Italian sandwiches are my favorite, but the Mr. G is worth a try for the unique factor. The portions are generous and one sandwich can easily be shared for lunch.
