First time in my life I went for an eye exam to Dr. Gerstein; he dialeted my eyes, and after that eyes become very sensitive to the light, so he was holding a flash light and a magnifying glass directly at my eyes. A few days later, a growth appeared in my eyes. So, I went back to Dr. Gerstein, and he told me I need a surgery. I had no problems with my eyes at all, now lots of problems after seeing this criminal doctor. That is how he makes his money, he will do some damage to your eyes, so you can have a surgery, and that is where the big money is. He is a fraud & a true criminal.

I went to this clinic this morning. my eyes were examined by bad old dirty machine. In addition, there is an old impolite woman in the optical shop. she was smiling to me and holding my prescription after the exam, but when I told her I might buy a glasses online all of sudden she stopped smiling and threw my prescription on the desk and left . It means " If you dont wanna buy from our shop , we wont respect you and treat you nicely !!!!!!" By the way, If this clinic were in Germany, it would have closed in less than 24 hours .

After seeing 1 optometrist & 3 ophthalmologists (including retinal specialist and optic nerve specialist) for double vision in her right eye, my wife go no answers. Since Ive had a relationship with Dr. Mel Gerstein for over 30 years, I suggested she see him, instead of the M.D.s her primary referred. He diagnosed her problem as a cataract! (how did all these other doctors miss it?) and within a month, had restored her vision in both eyes! Theres no substitute for decades of experience, and Dr. Mel has seen everything.

At both the time I called for an appt and at checkin the day I arrived, I was crystal clear that I only wanted an annual visit that was included with my insurances vision plan. A month later, when I received a bill for additional services not covered by my plan and not explained to me before they were performed, I was told it was my insurance companys fault for not making clear my plan.
