This place opened up maybe a year ago or so and I was pretty psyched about it. While going to college in Dayton, OH there was a similar shop called 2nd Time Around which is amazing. Disc Replay offers a wide selection (this branch not so much; their Route 59 store is much bigger) of used dvds, blurays, video games and consoles (Nintendo (almost any version) PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360), and cds. You can also sell your used multimedia here for cash or store credit.
Ive run into a few brash and unhelpful employees which turned me off. The store seems to be much better in the last few months though. Maybe its because they prefer repeat customers, though that is no excuse for poor customer service. Pricing varies wildly even between the same dvd on the shelf. There may be a $5 difference because, for some reason, when a dvd is reduced, the entire stock of that dvd is not reduced as well. Prices are quite reasonable at $3.99 at the low end and a majority under $10. If you are looking for a popular movie youll get a good deal. If its rarer, well, supply and demand (means that it will be pricier) Many of their Blurays are $13-$15 with a few as low as $8. I found Requiem for a Dream and 2001: A Space Odyssey for $8 and Australlia for $13. You may be able to find a better deal at Best Buy or Target if there is a sale, but, if you are willing to buy used, you can get a recent bluray for $5-$15 cheaper at Disc Replay. Ive started buying PS3 games and have found some good games for $$8-$15. Rainbow 6 Vegas $8, Resistance: Fall of Man $10, Bad Company: Battlefield $15 to name a few. I even saw Call of Duty 3 for $15 which was snatched up within two days of me seeing it. Games can also be pricier at $25-$35, but thats still 30-50% off retail. Enough about buying. Selling is hit or miss. Many of the dvds you want to sell, other people are selling too. This means a lot of overstock (which results in them not buying from you or a very low price) If you have something rare you may be able to get $10 but for most dvds dont expect more than a few bucks. Disc Replay has overhead and has to earn some profit too. If you are looking to make some cash from your dvds craigslist/ebay may be a better choice. Ive gone in with 15 dvds and only been able to sell a few and gotten less than $5 for the lot. Other times I was able to get $20 for 5 or 6 dvds. Like I said its hit or miss. Disc Replay also offers store credit which can be ~40% better than cash value. So if they offer you $5 cash you could also accept $7 store credit. This is a good desl if youd just like to trade some dvds. They can take a while to go through your dvds especially if they are busy (but you can go elsewhere and theyll call you when they are done). If its not busy expect a few minutes. I was able to sell a Sega Genesis for $15 store credit a while back. This was about as good as I was going to get on ebay at the time. There was no hassle or fees selling with Disc Replay. Overall this Disc Replay is average. They get kudos for just being around. I havent seen any other second hand stores in the area for selling/trading/buying secondhand media. For some quick cash they are ok. If you look around there are some good deals. Dont expect a lot of selection here (Route 59 is better for that). Customer service is mediocre, but it depends on who is working. Ive gotten great service from a few employees there. Disc Replay is a good little shop that you should definitely visit at least once.

When i was trying to go to a game store to sell my games (Gamestop), the employee said that i cant sell my games due to it being "outdated product". He actually refered me to a place called "Disc Replay" off of Weber Road. When I entered the store, i was kindly greeted by the staff and asked if i needed any help. i asked if i can sell my games, but the lady told me that i couldnt sell any of my games due to it not having its original cover art, instructional booklets/ booklets, cases. I wasnt happy about that, BUT that changed after seeing that everything in the store had its original art, booklets, and orginal case. I bought a Greatest Hits Tomb Raider 1, and a Greatest Hits Resident Evil Directors Cut for the PS1. At first me and my fiancee was skeptical about the discs condition BUT i assure you they HAVE a Top Of The Line disc buffer to resurface your discs before your transaction of purchase is complete so that all customers obtains a MINT condition disc. My second visit was beyond my expectations, The Manager Tim went out of his way to help me locate a PS2 Guncon2 (Gun Controller) which later i totally forgot where he told me the location of the other "Disc Replay" was, but i called back and he kindly gave me the store location and insisted for him to tell the store employees at the other "Disc Replay" to hold the Guncon for me. My third visit, i went to buy a original 1st gen Nintendo Wii, gamecube controller, and was about to purchase a wifi adapter for the Wii, but the manager Tim fully explained to me in detail why i would NOT need to purchase the wifi adapter if i already have wifi broadcasting within my house, which is beyond a plus for me in customer service, and to top it off within that same visit of purchasing my Nintendo Wii, a teenager brought in a gamecube game to get resurfaced and the manager Tim was VERY gracious and gave him a FREE "On the house" disc resurfacing. i assure you that this store has changed alot during the years, and has had there share of rude employees, but from my personal experience, this place has my business. It is VERY hard to please me and my fiancee with customer service (well my fiance mostly) but i assure you this place has got our business and will continue to have me and my fiancees business. I will, from now on shop at this store besides other well known stores like Gamestop for games and accessories. If your looking for games, game consoles, dvds, cds, tvs, ipads/ipods, cameras, tablets, and accesories, i would highly recommend stopping by and checking out this place, i am absolutely sure you WILL find what your looking for. Thanks again Tim, and i thanks to the hard working staff at "Disc Replay" you guys got my business and respect, Keep up the good work!!

I had a Christmas list request for some old Pokémon games for Nintendo Game Boy. Not wanting to mess with shipping from eBay, I went to a few Game Stops and they did not have them. One Game Stop kindly told me to try Disc Repay and suggested the Bolingbrook location having the best selection on old Game Boy games. I went right there and they had just about all of them! The only problem was the prices were a little high. I did purchase three games, one Game Boy Color and two Game Boy Advance. I spent $50 on these three games. The staff was helpful and the store was well organized.
