Took the Illinois conceal carry class and absolutely loved the experience. I have two kids getting ready to join the military and wanted to get more educated about firearms, firearm safety and proper techniques so that I could educate my children about firearms. What I got was that and much more. Adam the owner and president runs the class with an intent to educate as well as entertain. I am fairly new to firearms and in taking this class I feel far more comfortable making the decision to purchase and eventually carry one. I can only recommend this business based on my own opinion but there are three main reasons I would take this class through Blackhawk Tactical: 1. The instructors are experienced yet humble. I did my research and it seems that many instructors have massive egos. I found that Adam and his team have confidence in their abilities but it comes through as a desire to educate. 2. The way the class is taught is impactful, entertaining and intense. There is a huge amount of information to cover but it is done with material based on fact, the sharing of stories and anecdotes and with class interaction. 3. The value cannot be beat. No other training is offered for anything close to what you pay. Do your own research and all other classes are offered from $70-$100 more. I cannot recommend Blackhawk Tactical enough. In todays world the decision to own a firearm for home and self defense should not be taken lightly. So if you want to learn from people who understand the real world and the dangers we face everyday go to Blackhawk Tactical.

Took my concealed carry class here (unfortunately). I am leaving one star because this class needs major restructuring. A lot of time was spent on things that can be learned at home. Like what different parts of a revolver are or how to clean a semi auto pistol. Almost no time was spent on Illinois CCW laws (which is why I took the class in the first place). Adam had around 20 slides on different laws but had to cut them since he ran out of time. He did have time to tell everyone an hour long story about his encounter with a bear in the woods though... Would not recommend this place if you are looking to be a responsible firearm owner. On the other hand, if you only need a completion certificate, you might be able to sleep through this one.

I took this class the same weekend as my mom,dad,brother and uncles took a similar class with the local competitor. I breezed threw mine with Blackhawk, as for my other family members they needed to come home after class and practice. They also stated that the instructor had a very high ego and was rude. Im glad I went to blackhawk tactical, very humble and genuinely cared for us as well as the community. They tend to want to give a lot back and WANT to save you money, this place was recommended to myself and Im recommending it to more. And to add, blackhawk sent us to a indoor range while the "competitor" sent my family to a outdoor range in nearly 0 degree weather.

Took my concealed carry classes here and Im not stranger to a gun or the market prices of guns. So that being said I was expecting a boring 16 hour class but the instructor Adam was very lively and didnt sugar coat and used real life conflicts in the world to teach the class. Made that 10 and 6 hour day go buy fast. Abe and micheal very professional when it comes to guns and just about any accessories sold. And the prices are probably the best in Illinois with out having to go to Indiana and pay all the fees just to transfer it to Illinois. 5/5 stars and Ill continue to do business with black hawk tactical.

Great team of folks, experienced, and fun. Adam very knowledgable and hilarious. I had a friend tell me he could connect me with a guy who will get me my conceal carry for $100 and Id only have to sit with him for a couple hours. I opted to go a better route by contacting Blackhawk Tactical and Im so glad I did. I learned so much especially about gun safety and preparedness. These folks are legit. A week later I ran into my friend and within 5 minutes I was racing to get away from him because of how unsafe he was with handling his firearm.

Great class, price is Right, My husband and I took the 16 hr.CCW class together, we both felt it was very informative about safety and the Law, it gave me self confidence to feel safe about caring and the knowledge of all the dos and donts of CCW, Id like to thank Adam our instructor who was great, and Barry who is also very knowledgeable and thank you Ed who helped me at the gun range, you were so kind. sending in my son for class next. . I just completed the class this past weekend...Adam, Michelle...and rest of staff really set the pace in the 16 hour class...It was so interesting, the time flew by quickly. I would recommend this class to anyone interested in learning the ins and outs of the CCW law as well as Adam reads and gives examples of every detail of the CCW law...take lots of notes...you will leave the class well informed....Also, they take care of the paperwork at a reduced cost...Its centrally located and easily accessible to many of the local ranges

Completing a real CCL class was my goal. Legal firearm carry training was too important to cut corners. " I know a guy" and "Groupon" did not appeal to me. After several weeks of searching landed on BHT web page. Class description and reviews sold me. Im proud to say, I completed a real CCL class this past weekend with a solid carry foundation in which work from in the coming years. Blackhawk is a very reliable, quality training center. I come from a military background and they are really on point. Owner, instructors and staff are all very knowledgeable. Havent purchased a firearm from them, only had one transferred from out of state, but will defiantly be purchasing my next and probably the rest of my firearms from them. Ill also only go here for any advanced training I plan on taking. If you want to get quality training at a fair price, this is the place to go.

Adam, Abe & Michelle are very professional! Adam made the class lively. Abe was very helpful at the range. Michelle answered all my questions when it came to the different types of guns. I would definitely & have recommended taking classes there to my family & friends. You definitely will enjoy the class while youre learning! And yes Adam has some great stories lol!

These guys are awesome. I took their CCW class and was incredibly impressed at the experience and curriculum. Im also in the process of buying a conceal carry pistol from them and so far the experience has been excellent, both customer service and cost. I highly recommend them and will be using them for all my firearm needs.
