I have been dealing with AutoStar for years. Probably since 2007 or 2008 if I can remember correctly. I have had your average everyday cars (Honda, Toyota, Nissan etc.) and Ive had some high end luxury cars (Mercedes, BMW, Porsche etc.). AutoStar is truly a buy here pay here car dealer... and what I mean is that you have a lot of car dealers that say that they are a buy here pay here dealer and when you get there its a whole different story. AutoStar is probably the only place that I can go without some salesman following me around the lot trying to get me into a Kia when I came there for a Honda. Dont get me wrong if you are new to the car buying experience they have a very professional sales staff that will hold your hand through the process but unlike other dealers they know when to let go. I go to the location on Buford but Im sure you will get the same treatment at all of the locations. Buford highway is full of car dealers and when I was first in the market for a car I think I went to 8 or 9 dealers before ending at AutoStar. The other dealers wanted to run my credit and fish my profile out to a list of lenders/banks and that took hours, in fact a couple of the dealers said they will call me in a couple of days about my approval. Some of the banks wanted a lot more money up front, some banks wanted more documentation that even Jesus himself couldnt find or provide and some banks wanted my first born. When I wasnt able to provide what was all being requested I was then offered in-house finance and the down payment went from $1,000 to $3,500. And $3,500 at the time for a 2002 Honda Accord with over 150k miles was NOT going to happen. I started out looking at cars around 1pm and ended up at AutoStar around 6:30pm... At this point I was tired and didnt want to be jerked around anymore. In fact I knew AutoStar was going to give me the same song and dance. I was frustrated because I couldnt go home without a car and I was just about to start a new job that I had to get to the very next day. My guard was up and honestly I was a little rude to the salesman and I still apologize for that even still this day. The salesman came out and introduced himself, he asked me what car was I interested in looking at, he took my drivers license and we went on a test drive. When we came back we talked about the down payment, my budget, and he asked for my documents. He went to his manager and told me while he was with his manager to add full coverage insurance on the car. At this point I was saying in my head that when he came out from his managers office it will be a totally different story and I better get ready to head on home without a car. There was no way in the world this salesman here at AutoStar would be able to do anything the other 8 or 9 dealers hadnt already tried. 4 minutes later the salesman came out with his manager and I automatically I braced for bad news. Oh wait... I was approved!!? Not only was I approved but my payments were lower than I told the salesman I was willing to pay. A few things Ive also noticed about AutoStar... The quality of cars is a lot better than other used car lots. Every car that I have purchased from AutoStar has been 100% reliable. I always leave the lot happy. My sales agent is Pedro and I get nothing but royal treatment from this man. The entire staff is fantastic and very pleasant to deal with. Best of all the management team is where the heart is. Everyone knows that in order to run a successful business you need to have a good strong and solid management team. I know that I sound like a commercial for this place and I promise you I am not. Its not everyday you will find a dealer thats not out to take you and your pockets for a ride. Car buying should be fun, simple and easy. AutoStar will make all of that happen. I agree with Chris Dixon 100%. Got ripped off on a real pretty car Had already been aware to do my research on a car and having someone look at the car before buying the car first but was in such a rush and such in dying need of transportation that I was willing to try and take the best car possible, and now I am suffering financially because of my impatience. They will smile to justify the car while they are in knowing of the cars damages, even after you bring in the car to have the "mechanics "look at the car they will still smile and lie to you. Do your research people and DO NOT BUY YOUR CAR HERE! Sincerely , deeply disappointed customer! P.S. The condition of the car that had been sold to me was life threatening and its going to cost me thousands to get fixed, they at autostar wont fix my car because there is on what they say no problem with the car. But every other mechanic I take it to says nothing but the most horrifying scenarios that I could possibly be in because of the damage of my car. They also over price the car. Smh ,say dont buy your car from here, even if you have done your research n brought a mechanic. Just dont risk it like me.

Let me start with saying thanks to ERIC at norcross office, great sales person, helped me several times to pick a car out... Made things easy for us, he has been a blessing to us...........................NOW THIS NEW O.K FINANCE HAS THE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER...ELIZABETH AND ANDY ARE THE WORSE!!AFTER DEALING WITH THEM FOR OVER 3 YEARS AND 3 CARS LATER, WE HAD A SITUATION THAT WE NEEDED ANDYS HELP AND HE STRAIGHT OUT TOLD US "HE DIDNT CARE IF WE FIXED IT OR NOT, HE SAID THAT HE DOESNT CARE ABOUT PEOPLE OR HIS JOB, HE ONLY CARED ABOUT THE MONEY....THATS NOT RIGHT ANDY, IF PEOPLE ARE PAYING YOUR SALARY YOU SHOULD BE THERE TO HELP OUT WHEN NEEDED.......! I URGE PEOPLE TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.... THEY ARE THIEFS, DONT GET RIPPED OFF LIKE WE DID, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

I wouldnt recommend this used car dealership to any of my family members nor friends. I had the same problem as the previous customers stated. I bought a $15,000 dollar car and it started having transmission problems so I went to the car dealership to try to settle some agreement with the owner and he clearly didnt care on single bit. He didnt want to return me my $4,000 down payment nor help me with the repair and it had only been one month I had bought the repair. I have a 2 year term with them and my car is getting repairs done to it thats going to cost me $3,000 out of my pocket plus all the other fees I payed to get it diagnosed from several repair shops. Even though this dealership is a used car dealership I know the owner could have been more helpful in my situation I wasnt buying a $6000 dollar car. So right now I am paying for a car that is at the shop. I would just stay away from here regardless of how nice the car looks. There are several of other used dealerships that have wonderful reviews. Check them out before!
