Purchased a floor model living room "group" on clearance from the Gainesville GA location. First issue: I was told I could pick the items up over the Labor Day weekend on Sunday or Monday. Arranged to have help with the move and rearranged my work schedule so this could be done. Day of the pick up I was told "there isnt a porter here" to help and "insurance wouldnt allow me to pick it up". Friends inconvenienced for sure. I took time from work to do this. Secondly, the "group" came with 3 accent pillows. Once home, I realized that one of the pillows was missing. I returned to the store and was told "no, it only came with 2 pillows" despite being told by the store manager all three came with the grouping. The employees there at this time argued with me and said I was wrong and Id have to speak with the manager who was on vacation. Deceptive to say the least. They then said Id have to come back AGAIN to receive the pillow if the manager said it was ok. "Customer is always right" is NOT a motto of this store. Ive purchased many items from Havertys in the past, never from this particular store. These particular employees are poor representatives of the Havertys Brand....a $50 pillow has cost them a great customer.

We recently bought a sectional, cocktail table, chair, and ottoman from this Havertys, and we have nothing but positive things to say about our experiences. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I feel that we were "difficult customers." We ordered one chair/ottoman, and then changed our minds and decided to go with leather instead after going back and forth several times. We originally complained that the sectional was not the correct dimensions only to decide later that it was a perfect fit. The staff was extremely kind to us through the process and demonstrated great patience. Further, after the furniture arrived, we found that the table seemingly was splitting very slightly on the top edge. I took a picture and stopped by the store and showed it to the manager. Within a day, I had a phone call from their regional office, and within five days, a representative came to our house to look at the table. He discovered that the issue was with the finish and readily repaired it. The furniture is beautiful and we are very pleased. I would highly recommend Havertys.

Good quality furniture we have bought from them before and had very little issues with the quality. I wish they would do away with salesman commission and just pay them a decent living wage. It is somewhat like shopping at a used car lot.
