Great selection, Bad customer service. This was my favorite beauty supply store, Ive shopped here for over 5 years. Other than my last experience with them I would give them 5 stars. But like they say it only takes one horrible experience, so I will no longer be shopping here. I purchased a $15 broach as a gift and did not realize it was broken until I reached home that night. I went back to the store the next day, Christmas Eve, to EXCHANGE, and the manager refused to replace his broken merchandise. I had a receipt and showed him that I purchased two of them and one was broken, but he refused to even consider my request. I would have made no big deal about it, but it was Christmas and I was forced to walk away with a broken gift. This is just bad business, the day before, he had no problem helping me spend my money, but acted as if he didnt know that I had purchased over $300 worth just the evening before and was okay treating me as if Id stolen something and losing my business over $15 dollars.

I went into the store yesterday April 29th, 2016 for the 1st time and purchased a few items including some weave; The product isnt the issue, but what is - is the fact that the Asian lady who assisted me OVER charged me!!! I should have checked before I left the cash register... yet my assumptions was Id not be ripped off & I blindly put my trust in the owner of this store and stupidly so! How will she explain today- when I go back there about these over charges for an item which cost $10.99 changed and charged up to $29.99 and 21.99 to it changed and charged up to $26.99? Im sure this wasnt a honest mistake on her part, but it will be fixed or there will be a problem and theyre going to have to try hard to explain this BS ME! Ill never go here again! How are you looking out for thieves, yet YOURE THE crooked ones stealing from the customers?. Tragic isnt? Cant trust no one but Ill never go here again!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The owners of this store are all about the money. Im sure theyve dealt with their share of bad customers, but they have become insensitive and rude to the very customers who have made them what they are today. I do hair and I always send my clients there to get their hair, and too many times, they come back with complaints about how they were treated. I even experienced it first hand myself recently. I will not be shopping there and I will not send my clients there either. Its sad that they are willing to lose good hard working dollars over something as simple as taking the time to see what your customers needs are. Everything can be worked out with a smile. Advice to management–This is 2016, learn to deal with your customer in a positive and constructive way, no need to be nasty and rude.

I normally do not write reviews. However, this was by far the worst customer service I have ever received! I drove down from Buford, Georgia to purchase a week from the store. I was a little concerned about the color but the sales rep insisted that the color listed on the tag was incorrect and that the actual color was a 99J. I purchased the wig and when I walked outside and checked in the sunlight the wig was in fact what I thought .....PURPLE! I walked right back in to exchange it and they refuse. She told me that since she had cut the tags off the wig it was not returnable. I had not even made it to my car! I spoke with the manager and he was no help either. This week was $62 plus tax! A total waste of time and money! I will never ever shop or recommend this store again!

Have been going there for years because it was convenient, reasonable, and has a large selection. I went in to buy an item and asked the sales representative about a previous purchase, I had made- some magnetic earrings. The earrings were defective so was unable to wear them. She stated that I could not get a replacement set. She asked if i had the receipt, i did but did not have the earrings with me; then she stated "no returns, no exchange". I will not be returning- I hate it because I had been going there for years.

I am not sure why the previous reviewer stated that the store was small but it is actually HUGE! They have a wide selection of luxy hair brands including Bohyme, Velvet, Milkyway, Goddess, and too many others to name. The staff are a very helpful group of youg people and the manager is excellent as well. They also carry salon quality hair products such as Nexxus, Paul Mitchell, Nioxin, CHI, and many others. I am a loyal customer. They are right across from South Dekalb Mall in the Kroger plaza.

I came in to try on a wig and was completely denied, due to the fact that I have locs. My locs are not long and I expressed how I would braid it back to be as flat as I could get it, with a cap. Still rudely told no buy yheManager. He was very rude and said if I didnt like it, I needed to leave. After I explained how it was discrimination against people with locs,(honestly very calm) he threatened to call the cops. I thought it was crazy. Anyway, I will never step foot in there again!

Customer service is the worst i have ever came in contact with, i will never shop with Chapel Beauty again, i have been a faithful customer for more than 3 years and love the selections they offer but ever since this new selection of people working have came in im tremendously turned off and dissatisfied! People spend your money where its appreciated because they have definitely gotten besides their selves with their customer service!!!!!

I just left the store at South Dekalb Mall and they tried to force me into buying a cap for .50 to try on a wig. I pulled a brand new cap out that I just purchased across the street prior to going to their location. Cap was not used. I paid $1 for 4. The girl was playing with hers and telling me it was for sanitary reasons. Mine came fresh out the pack. I would have given away that cap before I lost a sale. I just walked out....smh.

I have been coming in this store for years. Went in today to buy a wig and the lady walks over to me to say I cant try the wig on because of my hair. I had braids and cut them theyre like micros and I cut them to a inch long. She says I can buy a wig but not try it on even with a wig cap because I will stretch out the wig. How? Its not thick or long. Ill never go back there again.

Ive always had a good experience at this store. Honestly cant remember going to a different beauty supply store in years....I see a lot of the negative reviews are coming from the wig department; Ive never purchased anything from there so I cant comment on anyones experience in that particular section, but overall the store is always clean, and fully stocked
