I got a transfer here years ago and just recently went back for another, and bought some stuff while I was there. One thing that really sets this place apart from every other shop in Metro Atlanta is the free transfers. They have not charged a fee to do a firearm transfer for years (forever maybe), and I think that makes a very strong statement. I will happily drive 40 minutes and find some goods or ammo I can use while Im there for this generous service. I arrived early on Saturday. It wasnt crowded but they were anticipating a surge later. This is a small shop, I would recommend getting here on a weekday if you can find a way, or early Saturday. For a small shop they seem to have an impressive variety of guns, new and used. The best thing is you will find stuff you wont find anywhere else in town. Not only that, theyve got decent selection of accessories with decent prices too. Ammo prices seemed average, but they do have some surplus stuff. Their prices are good from what I saw. Used guns are definitely priced well. Happy to see a few surplus guns. The staff was attentive. They always checked to see if anyone needed help. It wasnt too busy when I was there, but Ive been to many a crowded gun shop and youve got to have patience and civility. I see some people complaining, If youre going to complain, just do us all a favor and visit when its not so busy, not Saturday at 1PM.

Called in last week for a particular hand gun for my wifes b-day.A lady working there answered the phone and stated we have one new one left and it was reasonably priced for a new one. First of all the pawn shop has terrible lighting. I noticed the box was a little rough but the pistol was boxed like new. I looked it over good but was a little rushed from work and a little under the weather as i just recovered from the flu. Brought it home, wrapped it up. At the counter the cashier even referred to the pistol as new. After my wife unboxed it on her b-day, she noticed sand all in it. So bad she couldnt even work the action. I then examined it uner decent lighting and realized it definitely wasnt new and looked as if it were dropped it the ocean. The firing pin was rusted and wouldnt engage fully. Tried d to contact via 3 emails and 4 calls for the owner. No reply. Luckily Im decent with fire arms and after a two hour cleaning, was able to salvage my purchase of my wifes "new" fire arm. Wont be back and cant believe they even smith here with the disgusting condition this pistol was in. I shouldve paid 50 more bucks and went to cabelas. Dont buy guns from pawn shops. All around it is my fault, i shouldve known better and they showed how much they care for customers...

I have purchased 2 firearms from this business. They have had THE best prices of any shop in Bartow and Cherokee County. They were over $100 cheaper on one of the pistols I purchased! They also have a wonderful selection of new and used firearms. Great selections of accessories and ammunition too! The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and can handle stress well. I have only one issue with the company. Because of its reputation, business is plentiful EVERY time I go in so it gets really crowded. Sometimes it is a bit frustrating if you are trying to compare a few firearms as the staff gets pulled in many directions at once. The employees handle this stress very well though; it may take a minute to see what you want but the guys know their product! If you are in the area and in the market for a firearm PLEASE GO HERE! I was referred by some of my friends and was skeptical that they could be that competitive…trust me… they are! Plus, I’m REALLY REALLY cheap, so it has to be a great deal or I won’t buy it. On another note…They have great musical instrument prices as well. I collect guitars as well and they had a small, but desirable selection of those and some amplifiers!

This place sux, not consumer friendly at ALL !! Went in to purchase a gun they had advertised a whole day after the ad, and after waiting around for someone to give me any service, some old man steps up, and a guy tends rt to him. It just so happens he requested the same gun I was there to purchase. Well a few minutes later a guy comes over with a mouthful of food and I tell him the gun I wanted to purchase. I began the paper work while he went to get the gun and he comes back saying they are out! But they are getting a order in soon. I said okay no problem can I get it for the same price since youre out And he quickly and sternly said NO. But you can but this newer version of which I didnt want. The ad never mentioned a limited quantity. I feel they shouldve honored the price on the next shipment, AND NOT TRIED TO SELL ME SOMETHING RISE AT A HIGHER PRICE. That wouldve been the correct way to do business. After all without the customer your NOTHING!! I Do NOT Rcommend this sorry excuse of a business to anyone. They dont obviously dont give a damn about their customers!!

Professional customer service and great selection. Purchased a product over the phone when I heard they were having a sale, a sale that couldnt be beat nation wide. Not only did they have the best prices out of all local dealers in a different state, they had the best prices online as well. I had an important meeting to attend and decided to call them with only minutes to spare, expecting to only ask if they still had inventory. The gentleman answered all questions thoroughly, in a respectably expedited fashion, so I decided to jump on the deal and make it happen. Turns out I was able to get all questions answered and completed the transaction in less than 6 minutes. I still made my meeting on time... with a great big grin on my face. As long as the transaction goes smooth, and they continue to be responsive and helpful, I wont mind waiting for the transfer to take place, and will continue to do business with them, over and over again. Thanks again Cherokee Gun & Pawn.

Great people and knowledgable! I was just in the shop to pick up my free FFL transfer of a custom made AR I had finished for me. I was also in the market for a full size handgun. Both Charlie and his daughter Harley were extremely patient and knowledgeable. Charlie was a former LEO for many years and his knowledge was quite helpful, as he provided it without talking down to me, as I am fairly new to firearms. I have a fair amount of book knowledge when it comes to firearms, but very little real world time behind a gun. Charlie was patient and answered all of my questions. I was in there for 2 hours deciding on a handgun and I feel comfortable with my purchase. I never felt rushed or pushed around. Great experience. Thank you Charlie and Harley!

I have purchased from these guys multiple times. Also transferred to this location with the free FFL fee. I will always buy some accessories and/or firearms from these guys because of the free FFL transfers. They may not always be the most attentive because the store is packed with people. I give them credit for keeping the place running smoothly. There is a young worker there who knows more about weapons than I ever will. As long as you are patient, this is a great place to shop. I always browse the store while waiting for someone to help. No complaints here. This is a local business that is successful for a reason.
