worst customer service.I showed up at 6:45 yesterday with full knowledge that they were closing at 7pm ready to pick up my merchandise and the guy mentioned that it was only cash only which is perfectly understandable. I offered to quickly get the cash from a nearby ATM (6 minutes away) so i could be over and done with and asked the cashier if he could stay 5 minutes longer after closing time just so that i could make it make to make a payment. He rudely declined and was quick to mention that i would have to pay an additional prorated amount on the interest if made the payment the next day. This guy knew exactly what we was doing, now i have to pay an additional amount on my goods when he could have 1) offered to stick around a little longer while i made it to an ATM or 2) offered a waiver on prorated interest chargers. I do not recommend this business at all as they are low life, money hungry opportunists. Mr owner if you happened to read this review, im the guy that has his ps4 and flat screen tv with you guys. word of mouth is a powerful thing, i may just be one person but i hope that any sensible person will take heed and take their business somewhere else. This was my first experience dealing with a Pawn shop and Jason, Dustin and Kimyo made the experience overwhelmingly easy and comfortable. It was awesome to speak with Jason who is like a walking history encyclopedia of the Smyrna area, and get some insight into what this area and that business has been like for decades. Ive read other reviews on here which is what prompted me to go to Smyrna Pawn and every single one that has given 5 stars rings true. It is like dealing with members of your own family who just have your back in times of need! If I could give 100 stars I would have! Thanks guys! 3/9/17 - Just wanted to update my original post. Cant believe its been so long since I started visiting Smyrna Pawn and using their service and its honestly just gotten better the more Ive gotten to know them. I travel a lot for work and have to front funds then get reimbursed. Sometimes its nice just to have a little extra on hand...and sometimes the funds are absolutely needed. These guys come through for me over and over. When they say they are family owned and like to treat their customers the same way, it couldnt be more true. Thanks guys...youve taken the stress out of my life several times and that is something a "star rating" just cant attach a value to. Thanks!

Please dont ever go here. These guys cant be trusted. I knew from the moment i walked in that something was sketchy about the place. Pawning your belongings is always a hard & sentimental thing to do, however things happen. As soon as i brought my belongings into the store to pawn the clerk got googly eyed with amazement and didnt hesitate to test my belongings out; just doing whatever he wanted with it. A month and a half later i come back into the shop to get my belongings and to my surprise, theyve sold it! No one gave me a call, sent an email, etc to inform me that this was going on. When i asked why wasnt i notified all the clerk could say was "dude, u know how many customers wed have to call. U know how many ppl pawn stuff and never come back for it"? Seems like they purposely did that to walk away with my belongings . Moral of the story, GO ELSE WHERE IF YOU CAN!

I needed some extra cash to float me until the following week so I brought in a vintage gemstone cocktail ring that had been in my family for three generations. I chose Smyrna Pawn Brokers based on their reviews, and when I walked in to meet with the guys that were there, I immediately felt confident that nothing was going to happen to my ring. I was told about being charged a 10% fee if I picked up my ring within ten days, and I was told what the amount would be after that. I picked up my ring within seven days, and they were right. There werent any hidden fees. I just paid 10% of the borrowed amount. My ring was sealed in a new plastic bag with a tag and locked away. If you are someone who normally doesnt use a pawn shop but need a little help, I would highly recommend Smyrna Pawn Brokers. If I ever need to use a pawn shop in the future, I will be returning here.

TODAYS EXPERIENCE WAS A TRUE PLEASURE AND BLESSING!! ITS NICE TO KNOW THERE ARE STILL H.O.N.E.S.T. PEOPLE LEFT IN THIS WORLD!!!!! Where a lot of pawn shops dont give a crap about the person or situation thus getting a bad wrap, dont judge this book by its cover! I went in to sell an item with a price in mind, well I was shocked to find it worth more than my expectations and rather than the COOL guy sticking it to me, he actually informed me he would pay me its true value!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, FOR YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MY FAMILY WILL BENEFIT FROM YOUR HONESTY AS WELL AS FAIR & HONEST BUSINESS PRACTICES. I will gladly share this positive experience with others & would definitely use this establishment in the future, if needed. Again my thanks for an honest business.

I went here to get some quick cash off of some old things I dont use. Prior to going in, I searched eBay for items of similar condition, and asked for roughly 10% less rounded up to the nearest $5 increment. After I explained my situation, the manager actually offered $5 more than I asked for ( just barely less than eBay and with none of the hassle! ). This is the place to go. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes total, I was respectfully listened to and given plenty assistance. Further, the employees did not get too tied up with my problems to assist other customers either. Everyone was happy. 10/10 would recommend! These guys are very friendly, understanding, and incredibly fair. Be careful, guys, you might actually give pawn shops a good name!

Ive been taking my scratched up discs (cds,video games + dvds) for years now, and they make them work and look like brand new. Ive been in the shop a hundred times and Ive noticed over and over how the guys go above and beyond on many things for their customers, Ive seen them help other customers lower their fees they owe, go above and beyond on the prices of items they take in, a very old school mentality for doing business that the last place you would find would be at a Pawn Shop. Their prices on items they sell also seem to be comparable if not lower than what you can find online.

Called to ask if they are the pawnshop that buys giftcards. Employee answered the phone with an attitude and said hello not the name of the business. She said they closed 10 min ago and refused to answer my simple question. -Nstead she told me to call back tomorrow and ask. I found out i called the right place but the employee lady would rather send business away rather than just telling me yes or no. Very rude customer service would not recommend calling or going to this pawn shop to anyone!!!
