Since 1997, returning from abroad where I was used to true farm-fresh food up until this year, I bought all my food at Whole Foods where the quality at the start was good and the selection excellent and worth the slightly higher prices. I remained happy when I went to the Buckhead store after moving to Atlanta, Something has happened to the brand in the past few years - perhaps not unexpected when its CEO sets up an anonymous blog to praise his store and his hair style. First the prices went from high to shamelessly overpriced. Then at the check out counter they started trying to shakedown customers for donations. Next, the clientele changed - attracting a horde of pretentious, aggressive people in Mercedes carrying designer hand bags and shopping with EBT cards - and the store installed detectives because of shop lifting. The pre-wrapped chicken was rotten - always. The store brand frozen salmon inedibly dry.The produce quality became unpredictable. Starting in 2014, a friend pointed out that the prices posted were predictably much lower than the prices I was charged at check out. I began having to note the posted prices, watch the check out like a hawk and go to the managers desk to be charged correctly - along a others sharp-eyed enough to notice. Their store brand popsicles more than doubled in price. The check out staff began popping items I had purchased under the counter for themselves and, on one memorable occasion, went on passionately making out with each other on a Saturday morning while I waited for them to check me out. The last straw was when they took out their news-stand that carried the WSJ and FT...my very last excuse for going there. So I started going to Trader Joes about 2-3 years late - old habits die hard and I really like a number of the WF employees who are truly great people - but I feel very foolish for spending far too much money for far too long on unreliable quality food at dishonest prices. Whole Foods can offer you aisle upon aisle of organic clothes, make-up and vitamins and non-organic store-made very greasy food in its deli and hot food bars. Its clientele and employees behavior can give you inspiration for a Hollywood sit com - but if you want groceries of good quality at an honest price, go elsewhere.

I have been going to the Buckhead location since it opened. I am not sure what has happened with the management but it is sadly lacking. At one time the employees were a very friendly bunch. Now they act as if they are doing you a service just to check you out or answer a question. There is one lady that works the express lane that is so rude I will actually wait in a longer line just to avoid her. I used the restroom today and it looked and smelled like it had not been cleaned for days. The built up scum on the tiles, both floor and wall, was terrible. Then when I went to the food bar an employee walked buy to refill some items. His body odor was so offensive I couldnt believe that a manager hadnt spoken to him. I expect so much more from Whole Foods because I am paying more than at other stores. This is truly sad and a blemish on what was once a very nice place to shop.

The only thing this Whole Foods has going for it is that its better than an Aldi. The "butchers" and "fishmongers" have perpetual attitude about doing their job; the hot bar is always the same repetitive stuff (most of which is unappetizing) that is constantly picked over; and if you go after 8:00pm chances are that the hotbar will be half empty with no new food coming out (apparently calling it quits 2 hours before closing time is the m.o.). Additionally nothing ever seems to change - stock is always the same, and often times a ton of items are out of stock. If there were another option for decent organic groceries, I wouldnt step foot in here again.

Yes, the prices are high but so is the quality of the food and the happiness of the employees. Produce is always fresh and there are often great sales. The juice bar in the back has some pre-made options and can quickly whip up a special drink. Im a big fan of the salad bar area, with additional choices along the perimeter including pizza slices and meals. They host a range of events noted on the calendar above the customer service desk. Parking underneath is way saner than above. And dont be surprised if you spot a RHOA celeb like I did (cough, Nene). #Buckhead #EatHealthy

Drove 45 minutes to specifically shop at whole foods; This is where we go for our organic fruit and vegetables. We were highly disappointed that quite a bit of the fruit selection was old and already beginn to spoil. Also the vegetables arent well labeled. We had a very difficult time being able to determine the organic from the conventional. We now have to make a special trip later in the week to a different whole foods in order to purchase the things we still need from our list. Very disappointed.

Great buffet along with fresh oven-baked pizza, sandwiches, entrées, and a juice bar. All the groceries youd expect at somewhat higher prices than Publix and Trader Joes, but great quality as well. Free parking on main and lower deck. Be sure to stay in the shopping center if youre parking there as the deck is monitored and ticketed/booted if you leave. They accept ApplePay and Android Pay. Bring your own mug for 53¢ coffee.

Great variety, but incredibly EXPENSIVE. Thats why I couldnt score it higher. Note that Whole Foods often sells foods that they advertise to be "natural" or "organic," but are anything but, many having as many pesticides and chemicals as any you would find in any typical grocery store. You must be extremely vigilant when purchasing here for this reason. Be careful.

This store is rude and does not treat its customers with respect. I had an Uber driver go out of his way to return an item to me that I had left in his car. He returned it to Whole Foods where he had dropped me off. However, when I arrived to get my item, it had been stolen. I will never shop here again due to their lack of respect for their customers.

As an athlete I have to keep a very strict diet designed to fit my training regime. It involves mainly gluten free and organic products and speaking from my personal experience Whole Foods Market is the best place to get those natural goods. I definitely recommend it to anyone who tries to keep a healthy life.

Love this place as a solid Whole Foods with good produce and the best cuts of meat around. Can be busy, but a great alternative to the farmers market. Good wine selection too. Theres a huge prepared food area that I assume is for workday lunch crowd mostly. This aspect is decent but very expensive.

There is a wide variety of organic choices to choose from. Things grown locally are specified. They also carry less pricy conventional produce as well if the organic options are out of your budget. Overall, friendly and helpful staff with a great selection. A little pricy, but a good experience.

They have an awesome ready made food section with a variety of food choices. You really cant pick anything that isnt delicious here whether youre going healthy or loading up on the pizza. The service has always been excellent here and they have plenty of parking in the below ground deck.
