Perfect place to bring all the picky eaters in your life and large groups. The market is set up with several food stalls with a large public eating area in the center. This means that everyone in your group can individually pick out a style of food that they want to eat, and you all can reconvene to eat it together. Food stalls include sushi, pizza, indian, dumplings, boa, as well as a sweets shop, an ice cream counter, a small batch chocolate store, a flower store, and a store for higher end dog toys and products. There is even a beer bar in one of the corners of the market, and you are allowing the drink your beer anywhere inside of the building. Its the ultimate mix and match. My favorite times to come are for a nice lunch in the afternoon, or to grab drinks at the beer bar with my friends before going out into the city for the night. Please be aware that the parking lot is very small for the size of the market, so you will probably either be fighting for parking spot, or you will have to pay for the lot across the street or the valet (which also fills up fast). The best thing to do would be to take a ride share, or to bike, as the market has a monstrous bike rake located underneath the old bridge attached to the building. If youre feeling more sit down with a waiter, the tex-mex restaurant Superica attached to the market is some of the best tex-mex you will find in the city. Did I mention its also a short block away from the Beltline walking trail? Just be careful about leaving your car, as you may get booted if you eat at the market and then decide to leave the property for the trail.

One of my favorite things about going to cities Ive not spent much time in is finding those spots or gems that really showcase local art, food, and anything that really tells me what makes the people tick here, for me, there is no better representation of Atlanta, than Krog Street Market. Getting the worst of it out of the way first is the parking- the lot isnt big for as busy as this place is so youre going to more than likely need to find street parking. The inside has it all! From a magazine stand, soup store, something for your pets, a beer garden, and many, many food item options all packed into a small warehouse type of building- this place is legit. It has picnic style seating in the middle for your enjoyment so sit down and make a friend while you grub up. The market is broken up into two sections: the first being mainly food and the second, smaller building up front is a store featuring, what I was told were local artists, but I think it has a mixture. A lot of cool finds inside, especially if youre looking for that Atlanta keepsake for yourself that you havent picked up yet. I definitely think youll find it here. Honestly, my favorite thing was the free cups of water in the middle by the seating. Its hot in Atlanta so you need something to cool you off- definitely some southern hospitality right there. Definitely check it out. Come hungry because youre going to want to eat. Save your spending money for here too because youre gonna wanna buy a gift for someone here too (maybe that someone is you).

After eating breakfast here, walking around the area for about 20 minutes, we were shocked to return to our car to find it booted. Thinking this was a misunderstanding, we waited 20 minutes before the EPS parking attendant pointed to sign with fine print stating the terms of parking here. The problem was, this sign marks the valet lot, not the public parking lot we had parked in. While waiting around, we saw 3 other groups of equally confused and upset people. I contacted the property manager, and he sent back a canned message about the need to protect their parking lot. Well, I have no problem with them protecting their parking lot...but if they are going to boot cars and charge them $75 they need to clearly communicate this! This whole experience felt very shady, perhaps they are within the rules of the local laws but this seems pretty gray area. What a shame, because the place was really cool but this experience has tarnished it forever in my mind. If you choose to go here, do not use their parking lot or risk your car being booted.

Looked forward to my first visit, and didnt know what to expect. Was hoping for a Chelsea Market kind of place, but what I found is more like a food court and hang out for young and those who wish to be seen. Nothing wrong with that, but it all seemed a little trendy and "in-crowd". I brought some friends from out of the country with me, as I had heard that it was an unusual spot. Lack of true retail was disappointing (I dont mean chains, either) as most of what was available was food or food products. There was a pet store and a flower shop( small bunch of flowers was twice the cost of similar product at large grocery chain nearby) open, but other than that it was all restaurants and sandwich shops. It did seem very heavy in food offerings, so no doubt attrition will set in and the strong food purveyors will remain and, hopefully, some unique artisan retailers will set up shop. I will give it another go in a few months, but for now…it is a work in progress. I wish them the best.

This is a fantastic repurposed space. Walking in youre greeted by Hop City which has a fantastic selection of craft beer from around Georgia and the rest of the country. If you have trouble deciding what to drink their bartenders choice board always has solid suggestions to help narrow it down. The food stalls cover a wide variety of cuisine. Richards hot chicken hit the spot and was perfect with a cold creature comforts IPA. My friends got a falafel burrito from one of the other stalls that was also really delicious. We capped off the evening with chocolate from Xocolatl. These guys really know their chocolate and have unique blends as well as single source chocolate from Madagascar and Ecuador. They love giving out samples so make sure you hit them up. Overall had a chill evening here. Need to come back to try the rest of the food here.

This place is just cool. There is nothing better than a Saturday morning walk on the beltline with the dog and hitting up KSM for lunch and a beer! There are a ton of unique restaurants to choose from and I love the beer shop here. Suggestions: There are so many restaurants here and things to buy but in general nothing to really keep people around. Right now even if I wanted to hang out for a while, what is there to do besides eat? Get some mini-golf, an arcade or at least some TVs with football to keep customers around and boost sales. Another thing, the beers by the growler are probably mispriced. Its a cool idea but I never see anyone buying them and I ran the numbers last night, its more expensive than buying the beer by the bottle in the same shop. Something to think about.

I like the fact that finally this old warehouse right down the street from my Urban Oasis Bed and Breakfast was renovated and turned into a destination for the neighborhood and visitors to the Eastside Trail of the Atlanta Beltline. The food court is too noisy for me but it is very popular with the younger crowd as a cool meet and hangout spot. My favorite thing is the anchor store called The Merchant. Now we have a place to grab a cool gift without having to travel 30 minutes or more. Love there merchandising style. This development, Inman Quarters area and the Beltline have increased the motivation for everyone to get out and walk. We need a light or something at the corner though before someone gets run over. Look both ways!
