My experience at Scooter Pro was top notch. I’ve gone there a few times over the years but never for something as serious as this turned out to be. I bought a Tao-Tao 3 months ago brand new, from a private seller out of Daytona. Now, I’ve gotten the spiel before about Chinese bikes being crap (and totally agree) and when I bought this one, the seller assured me this bike was made in Taiwan and was sportin’ a Honda motor. I blondely trusted the guy and confidently made the purchase. From day 2, it had problems but I honestly thought it was because it got rained on and kept expecting it to work itself out. Well, move forward to 3 months later … on the very day I was scheduled to take it in for a checkup, it just wouldn’t start. So Joe picked it up that very same day (a Friday). As luck would (or wouldn’t) have it, I needed a new carborator (because of the crap inaccessible way the existing carborator was built and also needed a new motor. Ouch. BUT, I was confident that Scooter Pro would get me back on the road as quickly as I could pay for it, and sure enough, they had me back on the road by Tuesday. Excellent service, stayed on point with their promises, and they know absolutely know what they’re doing (unlike other experiences to be had in the St. Augustine scooter repair biz). My bad for buying another crap bike, but they made this not as bad of an experience as it could have been and I shall be a long-term loyal customer, and the next Scooter I purchase will be on their advice if not purchased from them! Thanks guys!

My scooter was having some problems starting and was not performing well. So, it sat for about a year. When I moved to St. Augustine I noticed scooter pro and was interested in having my Scooter looked at. It cost about 50 dollars just to have it looked at, but they indicated that the repairs would be quite a bit lower than the competition. I wasnt interested in putting in more money to repair the scooter than I paid for it, so paying the$200 estimate at scooter pro seemed like a good idea. After a couple days I got the scooter and I drove it 3/4 of a mile home. Then I after two days I had the opportunity to drive it. I drove it to the gas station about 1/2 mile away. About 100 yards out of the gas station it quit on me and wouldnt start back up. Scooter Pro insists that this is a new problem unrelated to their previous findings and they would like to charge me more money to fix this new problem. When I said I wasn’t interested in more repair work they were going to charge me $50 to put it back together again and if I didn’t get it out of there soon they were going to start charging me $10 a day. So I paid $200, drove 1 ¼ mile TOTAL, and have a SCOOTER IN PIECES. All the while, they treated me as if they were doing me a huge favor to be working on my scooter at all. They treated me like they didn’t need my business or my good opinion. They probably don’t need yours either.

One year and a half after paying for an alleged repair of my fuel guage, and my scooter being dumped in front of a property missing several key bolts and screws to hold it together --- my initially great working scooter (except for only the fuel gauge) still does not work. Its an interesting fact, that I left a lengthy review of the poor customer service and strong arm tactics attempted to have my property returned to me when I left a fairly mild bad review on time issues (as in not being able to reach him or ever know WHERE my scooter was at) -- has disappeared. Noting that, I feel compelled to reiterate my review, in a more truncated manner -- of a most disappointing experience. My scooter was fine before taken to this shop -- except for the fuel gauge...but since having to basically redo the damage done to it under his "care" -- it has never ran smoothly again. Before: Ran smoothly. After: Did not. Ever. That after weeks of enduring threats from the owner to "take initial review down" or hed keep my scooter. I have the emails.. Still. Because its hard to believe someone would attempt to do so -- but folks, it happened. The telling thing is too -- nobody really knows where the garage is. I asked several times in that I needed to know where my property was located. He never did say where. Hmmmm...

I bought my first scooter about 3 years ago from a dealer in town. A few weeks later it kept stalling at stops. Took it back to the dealer and they said it was normal. Within a month the carb needed to be replace because of the quality of Chinese parts. Scooter Pro not only replaced my carb with a newer more reliable one, but he did it for less than a "repair" would have cost at the other place. Since then, Joe has been my go-to guy for bikes. Sold my first two chinese pieces of crap to upgrade to a Kymco 50 and a Kymco 125. Joe has done all my service on all of my bikes, and I could not be more pleased with his extensive knowledge. Whether you need repairs, service, or just want to beef your scooter up, Scooter Pro is the place to go. Also, does delivery and drop-off for top-notch customer service.

I have owned 4 bikes. The only Joe has not worked on was the first. I sold it before I found him. One of the advantages of taking a scooter to Joe is that his business specializes in repair. So if you have an older scooter, Joe will not tell you that you need to get rid of it so he can make a sale. Most of the other shops in town are dealership facilities that will recommend you junk your old one so they can make a sale. Another thing that he has done that I am very grateful for is that when I am looking for a new or stronger bike, he has graciously made time to determine the mechanical condition of each one I look at. To sum up: His work is great, his price is fair, and his customer service is simply beyond comparison! Why go anywhere else?

I have owned 3 scooters (two Chinese and one Italian) and Joe at Scooter Pro is the only reason I was able to keep any of them on the road. Ive done business with him for about three years now and I dont think there is a bike made that he cant fix. Two of the scooters ran better when he got through with them than when they were first purchased. His rates are reasonable and having been to 3 other shops (one in Jacksonville) before finding Scooter Pro Im convinced that he is the best in NE Florida. He is considerate, honest, and always explains in detail what went wrong. Pick up and delivery service is also provided. If your scooter needs repair, give Scooter Pro a try. You wont be disappointed.

Have a Kymco 50cc scooter that needed a battery & servicing. Frank at Scooter Pro picked it up, reviewed what they would need to do, and then dropped the scooter back at my house. Could not have been any more convenient. All in all, it was stellar service at a fair price ($170) and theyve got a customer for a long time in the future! As a fellow business owner there are far too few companies that focus on customer service, so when one does a great job, its really appreciated! Especially liked the drop off & pick up service. One suggestion: If there was a way to return the scooter washed, it would be off the charts! Thanks again guys for everything~
