I actually got my first tattoo from here in September 2016 when I was on vacation with my friend. She wanted to get a tattoo in memory of her friend that had passed away, so on a whim, I decided to get one of my own. I didnt want anything large or intricate, just something to be a reminder of one of the best vacations I had ever been on. When we walked in, we browsed briefly as the person at the counter helped another customer. When we spoke with her, she said it would probably be another hour or so before they could get to us. My friend was being impatient and decided to go down the street to another shop to get her tattoo. I felt uncomfortable there personally, and when I was quoted for what I was wanting, I felt it was excessive. She got hers and seemed very satisfied, but I still wanted to see what Gulf Coast had to say. We went back and not only was I quoted significantly less than at the other place, but everyone was very welcoming and friendly. I want to say it was Joey who did my tattoo, and he was very nice and professional. I feel like he did a great job, and I am definitely glad I got my tattoo there instead of the the other place.

If I could give more than five stars I would! I had been researching for a couple of months for my first tattoo & am so happy I chose this place. After reading the reviews, I wanted to request Joey as my artist & was able to get an appointment with him in the same day. Even though my tattoo was super small and probably only lasted 10 minutes, I had nothing but an amazing experince. Joey and his wife were super nice & made me feel very comfortable from the time I walked in. I had by best friend with me who has had several tattoos at other shops & said she couldnt believe how nice the service was. I had a fear of flinching and Joey was able to test it on me without ink so I knew what to expect. They also give you suckers while youre getting it done. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!!

Jim is now my go to guy. Last night me and my girlfriend decided to get some ink. She needed a cover up and im just a feind for ink. So at 830 at night we called the shop in Panama City Beach to see if an artist was avalible they said if we could come in by 1030 we would be good to go. We walk in at 1030 pm and the shop was full their was another group of 4 that came in from the same town as us about an hour away. He ask us to come back after closing so he could do them so we did. We were their most of the night but the fact that he stayed to work on is was amazing. Great tunes, bottled water, relaxed environment and amazing prices. Just saying im not going anywhere else

AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Very very clean, and everyone there treats you as family. Two people from our party got tattoos while we were on vacation. Jim did a phenomenal job on adding to a previous tattoo to fix another persons error. he was very patient in drawing it up, and a joy to converse with. He also did a another tattoo on me that he dis beautifully on. His line work is AMAZING, and his sharp eye just brings the whole tattoo together. I would drive 6 hours from Savannah, GA just to come to this shop. Very pleased. GREAT JOB!

Derec was awesome. He is very professional and does not have a heavy hand. Im looking for a way to give him 10 stars but only 5 are available to click. The prices are the best in town and they even have complimentary water. I was there last when the NCAA basketball championship game was going on and they put it on the TV for me so I could watch UNC cheat their way to another title. I will be back as soon as possible for more work. Thanks Derec for all the great work see you soon.

If I could give more then 5 Stars I would. I have been to shops all over the US and none of them compare to Gulf Coast Professional Tattoo. I cant rave enough about Joey. Not only is his work incredible but he is the most welcoming and caring tattoo artist I have ever met. This is reflected in his staff and the general atmosphere of the place. Every time I walk in here I know Im in good hands. Basically if you want the best look no further. You wont be disappointed.

Came to visit Panama City Florida for vacation. Wanting a tattoo and wasnt sure who to go to. Let me just say that Derec from Gulf Coast tattoo was awesome. He did two tattoos for me and they were incredible. I can honestly say that if I come back to visit Im definitely getting ahold of him again. They were extremely affordable and very nice about everything they did for me. Truly worth every penny. Thanks again Derec!

Last night I went and got my first tattoo for my daughter. I was so nervous and the employees were awesome and made me feel comfortable. I loved the staff and experience of getting a tattoo for the first time. I live in alabama and was down for vacation and visiting family... Ill be back for sure. Hands down, best shop to go to! Joey is AAAAAMAZING! Hes done the majority of my tattoos and if something isnt going to work or look right, he will tell you up front. Everyone there is professional, but also make you feel super comfortable. Mindy and Franki are super sweet to my two little boys. They know who to go to for candy! I wouldnt go to any other tattoo shop!

This was the greatest experience I have ever had...I was down at Panama City beach for my honeymoon and they truly made it amazing ❤️️❤️️ Jim truly took care of me and made my horrible tattoo on my arm into a masterpiece for an amazing price!! The staff is very down to earth, friendly and talented. Everyone was very interested and helpful to make sure your thoughts were what you wanted. Such an amazing place and people. My experience was amazing! I got my 5th tattoo. The employees were generous and very kind to everyone there! I really loved the daddy daughter tattoo that they did. It looks amazing. My girlfriend got her first tattoo as well and she was nervous and they helped her calm down. All in all a great place and Ill definitely be back!!!

Just got a tattoo from Derec. He is an unbelievable tattoo artist. He took the time to listen to my ideas made my tattoo like I wanted and added his creative touch to it to make it amazing.
