At first I was unsure of getting my tattoo done here because of some complaints my friends had about theirs (which turned out to be "virgin" mistakes). I went to Old Anchor first and talked to the guys about my tattoo (music staffing and lyrics on the tops of both of my feet). They didnt want to do it on my feet but "left it to me". I put a deposit down and came back for my appointment telling them to just do it on my feet. They refused. I ended up at Body Armor next. I showed them my tattoo and explained where i wanted it and they said "Not a problem!" I was so relieved as this was a tattoo in honor of my mom. Kyle tattooed me after going over the design in detail. Not only was it a great experienced but the tattoos turned out better than expected thanks to his creativity!

Im a 16 year old girl, who went with my mom and a friend to get my nose re pierced. I have never felt more uncomfortable. The piercer was tremendously unprofessional and took advantage of the fact that my mom was not next to me when I was about to receive my piercing. He continually made inappropriate comments and had me open my legs wide, instead of piercing from the side. In the end I was so appalled I walked out of the store without a nose piercing and no refund. This is a completely different experience than the first time I got it done in Indiana, he even refused to give me a countdown?! Please do not give this DOUCHE any more business.

So I went to Body Armor for my first tattoo and I will forever go back to this shop for every tattoo I ever get. I got a simple bible verse in very simple font and had it done by Kyle and it came out wonderful and I love seeing it everyday. I walked in and had to wait maybe 15 minutes tops and everyone working there was super nice and my artist was really nice and helped me get through my first tattoo which was kind of big for a first tattoo, even if it was simple. I would recommend this shop to anyone who wants to get a nice tattoo and have a good experience.

This rating is so hard for me! I have gotten work done by Cody and he deserves 5 stars - he is phenomenal! I got a piercing done here as well and I am truly disappointed. She struggled with the piercing after forgetting to have me take my glasses off. Then the ball fell off my piercing, and the piercer is only available Friday and Saturday. The earring is faulty and thats not the piercers fault but now I have to pay to go to another shop to get the earring replaced. I would give the piercing aspect 1 star.

The people are personable and friendly. The shop is extremely clean, and the atmosphere is welcoming. The prices are reasonable, and the talent is high. My friend told me to go to Body Armor, so I trusted her judgement. I went with Cody, and he did a phenomenal job. This was my first tattoo, and he answered every silly question I had, and made me feel really comfortable and calm. I will more than likely go there again for my next tattoo.

I just wanted to say I recently got a piercing at Body Armor (I have also gotten multiple tattoos there), and I am very surprised by the negative reviews regarding their piercer. I felt he was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. I dont see why anyone would have a problem with him. The experience was much better than i expected and I would recommend Body Armor to anyone interested in getting a tattoo or piercing.

The people in there were nice and all. We were quoted a price by someone and told a different higher price by actual artist. We had to wait three hours but not complaining because we didnt make an appointment prior to going in. But then got out tattoos and they didnt turn out like the picture. Person I got tattoo with was very unhappy. It was her first tattoo and I think she was bummed at whole experience...

In 2009 - the artists were not good or professional. In 2012 - new people but poor at even a simple trace. In 2015 - I met the artist here named Cody...I got a tattoo from him and was very pleased with the price and the result. I have been back to see him since and am still happy with his work. If you get a tattoo here. Ask for Cody. He is not a chatty/friendly guy but his work is great and affordable.

I have to say, I was scared to death! A good friend refered me to Body Armor. They went above and beyond my expectations. So polite and helpful, and kind to a nervous middle aged lady :-) I got an ankle wrap and down my foot..flowers n vine. It was not painless..lol but, not to bad either. I believe the artists name is DJ, (my memory is bad) but anyway..a great experience!

I just had a large-ish tattoo done by Kyle at Body Armor and I was extremely impressed. The price was super reasonable, the place was busy but clean and professional, and I love my piece. I also saw several other tattoos done while I was there and was impressed by the quality of all of their artists.

Ive gotten my nose and my ears pierced with Skot and I never found him to be anything but professional, friendly and caring. Im quite scared of needles and he didnt even blink when i asked him to count to 3 before he pierced me. It was clean, pleasant and everyone was very nice.

I just got my nose pierced at Body Armor in Kalmazoo, MI. They were veru friendly and very clean. They made sure to show you everything and explain it all to you. I only paid $35 to get my nose safely pierced. They were very clean and there was very little pain. =)

Got my first tattoo done today n to be honest it was so awesome It was a bearable pain n i love my tattoo the artist was nice and awesome he did an amazing job definitely recommend this place btw ( its a nice clean place)

Skot is an excellent piercer. He did my nose and belly button. Deej is my go to tattoo artist. He is fun and full of great ideas to give me the tattoo that I want. Body armor is a clean environment full of great people!

Ive had three tattoos done at Body Armor, each time with a different artisan. Each artisan has been professional, competent, and conversationally engaging! (Which I find to be a plus!) Ill be back...:-)

The staff at Body Armor is always friendly and outgoing! I really like Skot (the piercer) and he will go out of his way to answer your questions. He is extremely helpful and nice.
