Ive been getting my tires here in the Palmetto Walmart & service has been good until today. Their employees on staff this morning is horrible. One of them just stood there & didnt do anything to help customers at all just talked to coworkers & ignored the customers. When I came in it was 9:30 am and I was told the wait would be about 1 hr to 1 hr & a half I said thats fine meanwhile I would go buy some things, came back to tire department almost 11am thinking they had paged me that my car was ready,when I approached one of the employees there was a different one from earlier a young man & he said my car was being worked on I said ok no problem. So I sit & wait people going & coming 1 hour later I approached the employees at the register which were like 4 standing & talking I asked about my car & they say its ready maam its been ready, Im was like why wasnt I told Ive been sitting here for an hour the employee just looks at me like Im crazy or they really dont care. A manager was even there talking to employees & nobody really cared they just looked at me like oh well your problem not mine. Horrible Horrible Horrible 3 hrs to get tire rotation & an oil change.

As far as shopping, all went well. But I was a bit concerned with the fact that the lights on the grocery side of the parking lot have not been working for about 3 weeks. I shared my concerns with one of the support managers and he said that several people have had the same complaint. As a female walking into Walmart late at night, I would hope that the parking lot would be well lit for security purposes. But at this location they have not restored the lighting after Something Happened One Night per one of the cashiers. Nor do they have any outside security personnel to ensure that customers Come & Go from the store without any issues. Personally, I find that a great liability on Walmarts part. I may not continue to shop there until the lighting is fixed at night. Which irritated me bc Palmetto Wal-mart is my closest store.

Automotive Department........thry quoted one price over the phone including taxes, but increased it by quite a bit when I went in. The manager or supervisor would not honor their quote or apologize for misqouting or this inconvenience. This happens often in their automotive department. I feel that this location could use some serious improvements in customer service and management (their overall hospitality is poor). No one (especially management) seems to care or take pride in customer service. I truly feel that it all begins with the top (managers) and trickles down to their staff. This is too bad, because our community provides a lot of business there. Im truly praying for more competitive superstores to come to our area, so that we can take our business where it is more appreciated.

The place doesnt deserve one star. Its a joke. The managers suck and dont care about their job, the store or the employees. They pretend to care if corporate is there but as soon as they are gone its back to I dont give a f***! I was an employee who got fired without any warning and it was all lies. Especially when the manager tells you to your face If I see you dont like your job, or I see something I dont like with you I will put all your points in and fire you?! TRUST ME DONT SHOP HERE, DONT TRY TO WORK HERE!!! They dont care about personal problems, whether its family, children, health, nothing. Its your problem not theirs. If you are hurt on the job, they wont do anything. They dont care and dont deserve to be in business.

The automotive department is terrible. TJ the tech lost the o-ring on our drain plug,understandable (a simple mistake ).It was the cover up and the lies that followed that shows they do not care about the customer and have no integrity. We had to buy a new plug and have a reputable mechanic redo the oil change and put a new plug with the O-ring, back in.$125.00 oil change and 30 minutes cleaning the oil OFF the garage floor.Chris the supervisor knew their was a problem, tried to get me to sign some sort of waiver.DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THE PALMETTO WALMART. They do not stand behind their mistakes. Where was management when we needed them,Bentonville, AR would not approve, I am a stock holder and Im embarrassed.

So I understand the reason they dont have a person at the craft tables 24/7 however I had to ask two employees to send someone over before one actually came. And when she did, she asked how we were and then said, oh. Ok. Then ill come back and check on you." As if my needing less then 3ft of tule with a price sticker slapped on would somehow change without aid whenever she may come back. So I talked to Raul, a manager and the service was 100% amazing. He went above and beyond to make my experience easier and faster. He handled it respectfully and sweetly. Hes a great example of what an associate should be, understanding and helpful.

Pharmacy is a unprofessional, the pharmacist Ive met seems to be knowledgeable and helpful but the employee that runs the register sits and eats or is on her phone while checking you out or getting your information for your perscription, unprofessional no matter what your job title, I dont want to smell someones food or nasty frito, dorito breath while checking out let alone have them talk to me while eating, sick or not, shes done this multiple times while Ive been in to pick up my stuff, I hope management gets that undercontrol, the rest of the Walmart is easy to shop and Ive never had a bad experience other than with this

Great place to shop but when its time to get a oil change they will hit you with that your oil cap is too tight and they dont want to take a chance of taking it off me and 3 of my friends got the same excuse I think when they get too much work in the automotive department thats the excuse they use 3 different cars same excuse took it to the other Walmart in Bradenton got it off with no problem I asked was the oil cap to tight they said no crazy ... so watch out for that excuse when getting a oil change their your oil cap is too tight really Walmart in palmetto really 3 different people same excuse

I wish I could give no stars. Auto department is AWFUL. The first time I got an oil change from here, they said I had a bad oil leak and my battery was bad - fine whatever. The next oil change we went to the Braden River Wal-Mart on 70 where we personally know the staff. I DIDNT have an oil leak, my battery was just fine but I was missing an entire qt of oil well before I should have. The next time we came to Palmetto again (benefit of the doubt) they refused my car entirely because of such an excessive oil leak. Watch, Ill be at Braden River tomorrrow getting my oil change. Such bull.

I got my car scratched by one of their employees months ago. I immediately brought it to the attention of their managers. They promised to get back in touch with me for a solution. Ive never heard back. The ONLY friendly person in the entire place is the greeter at the front door. If it wasnt for the fact that the place is only a block away from my gym...I wouldnt go anywhere near the place. Its dirty and unkempt. The bathroom was disgusting the last time I had to use it. As far as Im concerned. Its the worst Wal-Mart Ive ever been to.
