Went to Ancient Art to get a cover-up tattoo, spoke with Jeff who was outside at the time smoking. He was not very helpful in suggesting what would cover my tattoo. After looking through various books I found something that I liked but need a slight sizing adjustment, Jeff said if I put down a $40 cash deposit with no receipt, he said he would make the adjustment to the design. One half hour later, Jeff called back and said it was done. I wasnt able to make the half hour trip back to the shop so I asked him to email me the change to which he refused. I asked him why since I had paid for the artwork change and his reply was "its store policy" First of all, Jeff "stunk" of stale cigarette smoke, it was absolutely disgusting, very poor hygiene and his wife was even worse. I wouldnt let Jeff or his wife tattoo my dog!! I have no other interaction with anyone else in the shop, ( I have heard good things about Isibelle though) Very disappointed with my experience.

Ive had 7 of my 9 tattoos done here and theres a reason why I keep going back, quality! Yes Ive had different artists each time but the quality of the products that they use is incredible! I have wrists and top of feet tattoos which can fade but I feel for the number of years Ive had mine they are still in good condition and have held the ink well. Being in Florida I am constantly in the sun as well! Isobel did a hand drawn cover up for me as I needed a visual of how exactly the cover up was going to over shadow the other and I was pleased and only I notice what was there before (I havent been back for any touch ups) all in all I recommend the shop and the artists!

In response to the negative review here: Ive had Jeff and Cindy guest artist in our studio many times and their talent and skills are beyond reproach. Jeff is a retired fire rescue and Cindy has a medical background...they understand the importance of clean technique and practice it in every tattoo they do. NO studio of quality will send any design, custom or not, out via email. We all have been burned so many times it is just not done. Ancient Art has been in Ft Meyers for many many years for a reason, QUALITY.

I thought Gina did a fantastic job on my tattoo. I love the laid back atmosphere, and her focus and dedication to her work. There were no smoke breaks, no dilly-dallying, no distractions of any kind. The place was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. And the bandaging and healing time was the best Ive ever experienced. Highly recommend Gina and Ancient Art!! :)

So today I went to ancient art Tattoo never before have i ever got a tattoo & I wanted one for my best friend who passed away , well Julio helped me out & Did a fantastic job on my first ever tattoo , the people who work there are aweosme aswell & really enjoy there jobs & are great with people I highly recommend this place !

Cindy was very professional, did not rush through the piece and did a quality job. I love my new tattoo and will definitely be back to see Cindy soon for another one!

Wow! The negative review on here got personal! Not nice..... I waited to get my first tattoo until I was 51. I am a germaphobe and very particular. I will not get another tattoo unless it is from either Jeff or Cindy Groom. The professionalism and care were beyond my expectations. Did I mention Im particular?
