Unlike WalMart, Winn-Dixie doesnt move their stock around every week to make customers chase their tails and run the maze to find the cheesy prize.  That said, the prices are higher than WM and Pic-N-Save (the two nearest grocery competitors), and in some cases the prices are substantially higher.  If you clip coupons and watch the circulars in the paper, you can get some deals, but otherwise, this is not a place to do all of your grocery shopping.  And, whatever you do, dont even think about buying a personal care item such as shampoo...you will leave feeling like you got mugged. Winn-Dixie store brands are not as high of a quality as the Publix store brand, but as with everything at Publix, you pay extra for that.  Im generally satisfied with the WD generics, but if I am making dinner for somebody or taking something to a party, I opt for the pricier goods. Ive had catfish and meatloaf and sides from the hot deli, and have had them make sandwiches for me to take on tubing trips.  Good enough for the money.  I wouldnt mark anything as worth driving out of the way, but still, a good value for what you get. This is four stars instead of three because of the convenience (and relative lack of grocery competitors in the area) and the fact that I know exactly where everything is and have come to count on a quick visit if I just need a can of chili and a slab of Velveeta to make dip to take to a party.  The same 5-minute trip to WD would take 20 minutes at Wally World...and I would leave WalMart ready to mow down slow-moving pedestrians in the parking lot.  Not that I ever would, mind you, but damn, those zombies shamble at speeds that have actual zombies impressed.

The last 3 times I have bought "Beef Chuck - Beef for stew", all the packs were 1 day from expiration and put them in the refrigerator to use the next day, and the meat turned DARK over night and smelled the next day... I think they are "re-packing" meat that had already passed the"sell-by" date, and just putting a new date on it.

Best Winn Dixie to shop at in Santa Rosa,country. Eric is the store manager and he is one of the dedicated manager I have ever met. This store is always clean and well stocked. Great employees. Great meat, deli, produce,dairy, bakery & pharmacy. If your going through Milton FL you owe to yourself to stop.

Feels inviting and makes me want to come back. I love the 3 day sales they have but need to advertise them better. Clean and friendly staff. I prefer here more than Publix which is expensive in my opinion. And even more so than the walmart people packed isles or p-lot.

Winn Dixie is usually better than Publix for the everyday essentials. Cheaper, especially if you have a Winn Dixie card and earn gas savings too. Always has pretty much everything I need. Produce is of good quality. Typically friendly staff.

I bought beer. They asked for identification. I had to take my licence out and they swiped it on the register. I felt violated as they had no need to do that. I will shop on Highway 90 from now on.

Dirty place. Rude people. Terrible deli. Disappointing produce. Disgusting bathrooms. Id rather go to Publix where I feel valued and everything is fresh, in stock, and well-priced. Shant be back.
