From start to finish this was an awesome experience. This was my first tattoo... so there was some hesitation and I did my research... not just online but by actually asking random strangers with really awesome ink where they got their work done. From there I went to the shops... and lets just say some a pretty shady... my mom actually found out about Divergent from a guy at her hair salon. I googled the name and called the number. From our first conversation Guillermo made my experience all about me and my tattoo. I wasnt just another "job". I made the trip to check out his shop- spotless... absolutely spotless. Nothing to distract the artist or the customer... he showed me the whole place and where he creates his designs. I knew I wanted an Ironman tattoo- 140.6 total miles of swim bike and fun deserves a tattoo lol. The best part- of all the shops visited- he was the only one who not only knew what it was- but totally appreciated all my sacrifice to finish the race. I scheduled my appointment and Guillermo said he would come up with something unique for me to look at. He did just that. On the day of the appointment he was there on time and ready. He made sure I was totally comfortable and at ease with what was about to happen. He made sure the size was good and location. We went through a couple of attempts until I was 100% satisfied with position of the stencil. This man has patience and a sense of humor. He talked me through the whole process and away we went. He was super gentle with the touch and the tattoo came out AWESOME!!!! First timers and tattoo lovers alike- I cant suggest going to Guillermo at Divergent enough. I am taking my best friend to see him for our friend tattoo next time she is in. 5 stars but he deserves more!!

They have really talented artists who really now what theyre are doing, the price is also very affordable, you really get what you pay for and more. Both my husband and I have several tattoos all done by different artists. This experience was, by far, one of the best! I started working with Guille Chaviano from across the country. I saw some of his work while visiting family in Miami, tracked down his Instagram @gchavianotattoo and contacted him once we made it back to California. We had another trip planned to come to Miami and he was awesome enough to make room for us in his schedule. He sent me full color sketches, adjusted and tweaked the design to make it completely custom and perfect for me. (Im a great client in the chair, but Im picky as hell as far as design goes) never once did I feel like I was a bother asking for this and that which resulted in a tattoo that literally made tears well up when I saw it, absolute perfection. The shop was unlike any other, great location with an amazing studio and very private. Very clean and quiet with awesome vibes. All brand new disposable tools used. Extremely professional but still a very easy going and relaxed atmosphere. One of the lightest hands I have ever been tattooed by. I was blown away, above and beyond what I expected by far. I recommend Divergent Ink a thousand times over well definitely be collecting some more pieces

I just got a cover-up tattoo last week by G. This was my ninth tattoo so I generally know what to expect. For many reasons, Divergent Ink was by far the best experience Ive ever had! Many of my tattoos are line based geometric work. Ive been told repeatedly from established/experienced tattoo shops that they wont do my requests simply because theyre not super intricate dragon style tattoos. G joked about how thats the equivalent of a doctor who only does open heart surgery, because theyre too good for anything else! G was enthusiastic about my design and we worked together to make a perfect cover up! He doesnt just do tattoos, hes an artist- a creatively thinking person- and that really makes a big difference in this business. I am so happy with the design! His drawings around the shop are absolutely stunning...as is the shop itself! Not your typical tattoo shop at all! I highly recommend going there if youre in the Miami area and considering a tattoo. You will not be disappointed!

Absolutely incredible . Guillermo is not only a highly skilled man of his craft but he is also a dam good guy! funny how I came across him. I had been quote hunting for a month and none had fallen within my price range . It was today though that I would hear the most ridiculous quote of all. I went to Iris Tattoos in Wynwood and they had the audacity to quote me with a 2 session minimum at $800 a session...... I put my shirt on and walked out of the shop fighting back the urge to laugh in their face , for the degree of difficulty was not high and the amount of canvas I had to work on was not much. So I go home and decide to google shops closest to Midtown/Upper Eastside and I decided to call Divergent Ink and immediately scheduled an appointment with Guillermo. Nothing but respect for this dude as a human and as an artist. Thank you for your work and for turning my arm into exactly what I wanted . All in all, I found my new artist. Thanks again Guille! EXCELLENT FIRST TIME TATTOO EXPERIENCE! Mr. Chaviano is the perfect mix of customer service, passion, and creativity. As a first time ink experience he was able to pull together many ideas in my head and condense it into a "starter partial half sleeve" with enough space to build upon it and keep adding seamlessly. To put in perspective, I scheduled an appointment with him. He contacted me several times with sketches and ideas accepting any type of feedback to make any adjustments in a positive manner. My session was 4-5 hours long. I didnt know what to anticipate, and after the idea was produced he quickly went to work and was able to do the outline of the partial sleeve and add the very vivid colors as painlessly as possible. It was a great experience and I am looking forward to the relationship I will have with him to continue building my sleeve!! Hes the type of artist that gets excited and passionate working on a piece hes really into!

Went in to get some work done with G and could not have been more satisfied with what I left with. G and I talked for a while before I actually went in on what I wanted and how exactly I wanted it down. My tattoo was not the easiest or most simple to draw up and G knocked it out of the park. His attention to detail on not only the actual tattoo but the prep work leading up to it is second to none. I felt very confident going in that I was going to get EXACTLY what I hoped for and he delivered. Definitely will be going back to not only finish this piece but for every tattoo I get after this. Also, my girlfriend came with me just for company and ended up leaving with some work done by Jeffery after looking through his profile and being blown away.
