I started my search for an engagement ring after my girlfriend returned from NYC. Her best friend sent me pictures of the “ring of her dreams” after they made a visit to the diamond district. The ring was someone unique and I had a difficult time trying to find the style in the city I live in that was within my price range. I decided to make the 3hr drive to Jacksonville. After visiting a few more jewelers in Jacksonville, Harby Jewelers was my next stop. After reading reviews of Harby Jewelers Inc in Google Review I decided to give them a visit. Great decision and my last stop. Even though I did not make an appointment Brad saw me right away. I showed him a picture of the ring and he showed me a few styles that he had on hand. I was still unable to find the exact band so he gave me internet sites to view to look for additional bands. This was much more convenient since I could view bands at the house verse flipping through a catalog at a jewelry store. After almost a month of trying to find a band I found the perfect band. We communicate via email which was also convenient. I made arrangements to view diamonds. I sent Brad the 4Cs I was interested in and he ordered a great selection of diamonds to pick from. Once again the perfect diamond. After the ring was complete it was shipped due to living so far away the ring. The ring was shipped over night and required a signature. Harby’s paid for the shipping. During shipping one of the diamonds fell out. Contacted Brad and we made arrangements to drop of the ring to be repaired. Due to working the weekdays I was unable to drop off during working hours so I dropped the ring off at his house during the weekend. There are very few businesses that would provide this type of service. After being repaired Brad shipped the ring, once again on his dime. After it was all said and done Harby Jewelers provided the perfect ring at a price that was much lower than their competitors. Harby’s is well worth the 3hr drive and they will now be my first stop for future jeweler purchases.

I walked into Harby Jewelers literally having never gone jewelry shopping before in my life. This was quite literally my first experience. Any concerns I had were vanquished quickly as I walked into a unique, exquisite, and still comfortable showroom with a birds eye view of the river. As I sat down with Brad, he calmy and very patiently walked me through cut, color, carat, and clarity. He explained what each meant and showed examples both to the naked eye and under a microscope. After the diamond education, we walked through a few different ideas on what I would like to have in the perfect ring for my wife-to-be. Im not sure how, but Brad at Harby Jewelers somehow understood exactly what I meant and I had soon chosen both the band and the stone that would go in it. Now maybe I could be wrong about other jewelers, but it just seems to me I got so much personal attention at Harby Jewelers that I cant see myself going anywhere else. I got the perfect ring for my needs, and stayed within my budget to do so. Harby Jewelers can expect my return business for years to come!

Ahhh man where to start!! First off Harby and myself spent about one year talking back and forth over the phone, discussing ideas, literally everything you can imagine before I took the trip down to Jacksonville, FL from NC. My mom first connected me with Hugh as she has done a lot of business with him and had nothing but great things to say! So I didnt trust anyone else but Harby Jewelers! I finally took the trip down to his shop at the beginning of this year to pick out the engagement ring for my future wife! The experience was truly like no other. We spent 3 hours looking at different diamonds, settings, and came down to a game of process of elimination! It was a blast! He is an amazing guy to work with and I would never go anywhere else! I recently bought an engagement ring from Hugh Harby after hearing from my mother how wonderful of an experience they had with them almost 30 years ago! I couldnt be happier! It looks absolutely gorgeous and is totally unlike anything either of us have ever seen. They were incredibly kind and spent over an hour with us looking though what had to be $500,000 worth of diamond settings until we found one of our liking. They even went so far as to order our Moissanite stone for us directly from Charles & Colvard themselves and wrote a fantastic looking appraisal for our ring. I cannot say enough about how wonderful these people are! We will absolutely be purchasing again and referring out children to them for their engagement rings. Harby Jewelers is the place to go for anyone looking for a beautiful gift for a loved one. My first time dealing with Harby Jewelers was for my wifes engagement ring. The customer service was absolutely amazing. Knowing very little about settings and the different aspects of stone quality at the time, Hugh took the time to give me a crash course and explain everything I needed to know and more to make meaningful decisions about choosing the perfect ring. They were completely open and willing to help me stay within my budget, and my wife absolutely loves her ring! You wont find a more helpful company that knows jewelry this well, is trustworthy and will help you find exactly what you want. I heard even Jared went to Harby.

I recently bought an engagement ring at Harby Jewelers, and it was the best possible experience that I could imagine. Prior to going there, I shopped around at several other jewelry stores in Jacksonville and the sales pitches that I got at those other stores were truly comical. Brad Harby, on the other hand, did not put any pressure on me whatsoever and was extremely helpful with the entire process. He definitely made sure that I found the exact stone and setting that I wanted. My fiancee absolutely adores her ring, and the jaw-dropping wide-eyed expressions that her friends get when they see the ring for the first time are evidence that I made a great buy. I will be returning to Harby Jewelers for many more purchases.

The overall experience at Harbys is like none other. It is a small store in the Wachovia Building downtown and does not cater to the walk in off the street crowd. When you are in the store you get 100% attention and are not distracted by other customers or cheeky gimics. My fiance purchased a loose stone for me and had them set it as a solitare so we could go back together and pick out a setting. They had the best selection of settings, stones, and bands that I have seen and believe me we shopped around (Underwoods, Beards, Jareds, Mayors, etc). Father and son are very professional and are eager to share their knowledge. Best jeweler in Jacksonville. Thank you for my beautiful ring!

My experience was more than enjoyable with Harby Jewelers, they not only helped me find the perfect engagement ring for my future wife, but also walked me through the entire process. From picking out the diamond & the setting, to making sure the finished product was to our liking Harby Jewelers is the entire package.
