In preparation for an upcoming Florida Writers Foundation workshop featuring writer Marie Bostwick, Im trying to make the quilt described in her book APART AT THE SEAMS, a Cobbled Court Quilts novel. The quilt will be part of a silent auction to make money to provide books and other resources for schools. When I contacted Judy Hansen, the owner of the Quilt Shop of Deland, requesting help converting the size of a quilt block, she agreed to enlarge the pattern. I expected Id have to wait a few days. The pattern was ready the next day. She had even calculated yardages. Great service. Great quilt shop. Everyone gets personal attention.

Omg, the best eye candy I have seen in awhile! If I didnt live 3 hours away, I would frequent this quilt shop more often. The owner is amazingly talented and designs beautiful fabrics and patterns. I have not spent so much in a quilt shop in such a long time. Prices were reasonable and the variety of products was a refreshing delight. The staff was very helping and eager to please but not on your back the whole time.Need more shops like this.

Another great shop in downtown Deland. The staff is exceptional and the crafts including quilts are first rate. So much to see and explore you have to go yourself. This is not Internet shopping it is up close and personal. Go and see.

Greeted by the owner right away which was refreshing. Cheryl was most helpful since it was my first time. I felt a southern welcome. Will definitely be back.
