I like the Placita Supermarket... its my bodega away from home. As a NYer, I am accustomed to buying more ethnic ingredients at my local bodega. The first thing I asked when I moved to FL is, "where is the local bodega?" and I was pointed to the Placita. They havent failed me yet, if I need a down-home ingedient of any kind for a pernil, bacalao con viandas, pasteles, carne guisada, etc., they have it. And across the street youll find the Seven-Star Indian Grocery, incase you need any ingredients for , lets say Chicken Tikka Masala, which I live to make too. Enjoy!

Went there for lunch and was pleasantly surprised: the pernil (oven roasted pork shoulder) was superb; and the way they spiced up the cuajitos (hog maws) with a touch of curry was way beyond my expectatioins! One of my colleagues let me tried the beef stew shed bought and it too was phenomenal! The cornbread was to die for! And, best of all, the price was just right1 Highly recommend this place for lunch next time youre in the area!

Sometimes they have great food and the store be stank my mom and grandma shop here and somebody stole two of her plaits and they dont speak that well of English but like they said below they do that reasonable prices they need to do something about the smell of the store is start throwing away expired food because dont nobody want to get food poison

They have a lot of different type of Hispanic people working and they also have OK food but their workers are very angry I seen one of their workers attack a homeless and the store owners did nothing but laugh and store stinks you got to be careful what kind of meat and products you buy out of there because I dont think theyd throw anything away

OMG, I thought I was back in NYC at the Hispanic/Caribbean market, I was in heaven. The meat prices are amazing and they carry every spice, bean and sauce known to man. Not to mention they have cooked fresh food thats amazing, this is my new Market, its a wrap.

I find items that are hard to find here and the prices are great. The only small detail is the overall cleanliness. It just feels a little untidy and maybe slightly dingy when you are shopping. Nice little market
