An exquisite shop to visit if one wishes to endure (or witness) the plight of the poor. I had recently popped in to purchase some trinkets for my housekeepers maid back in Spain. The adore anything from the Colonies these Spaniard types. I perused some of the outer fringes of the shop, far away from the central portions where one hears nothing but foul language of the working class and the wretched sound of metal hangers scratching against the crude aluminium posts beneath them. After a few moments of perusing, I was able to select a lovely giclee that was marked down to a mere £200,00 from £700,00! I also happened upon some lovely goose down comforters that are beloved in Spain. I was quite shocked that the cashier stand was staffed by mostly elderly ethnic ladies that were clearly not very bright. My cashier, Lorna did not offer to wrap my purchases and ship them to Spain via overnight express; she also barely spoke English, the poor dear. Of course, my disdain faded when I snapped back to the reality that I was in a bargain basement full of DCs bottom feeders and urchins. All in all, this was a lovely display of why I reside in Spain and not in the Colonies that the Queen relinquished to the savages.

I have been going there for the last two years (love nordstrom rack), and have always had no problem with this location, until today. I had two separate workers be EXTREMELY rude to me. I brushed the first incident off as someone having a bad day, it happens, until the second person was just as rude. The first occurred when I was waiting at the dressing room. I was there for a few minutes, not a big deal. The lady kept walking back and forth by me, knew I was there, but didnt say anything, again not a big deal. After several minutes she came back, I had THREE items and she scoffed at me as if she was annoyed I was interrupting her. Brushed that off, fine. Went to the register to buy two of those things and the cashier was extremely rude as well. I inquired about a rewards card and the lady looked at me and said "maam, i dont know" "i have no idea what your account has". First, I dont have an account and I was looking to set up a rewards card. Secondly, she was extremely nasty (more so her tone, than what she actually said) to the point where I decided against one and it was extremely uncomfortable for the coworkers and myself who were in this interaction. I actually walked out of there feeling disgusted.

This is a good location for Nordstrom Rack and a bad location for the rest of us :) The close proximity to many office goers acts as a afrodisiac for the faint at heart who cannot resist the temptation to stop by this store during their lunch hour or on the way back home or even the 3 PM coffee break. This generally means longer lines for checkout during these times. It is sometimes hard to get quick customer service but once you are able to find someone, the service part is good where most of the employees are able to answer your question. Selection is good and prices on products are good too.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! Rude and unhelpful! Went in to get a gift card and they said NO! Can’t believe it but I certainly will not be going back in there and they DO NOT HAVE MY RECOMENDATION!. I’m active duty military and was in uniform as well. Not looking for special treatment but general courtesy would have been appreciated. Manager does not have a handle on what is going on in that store.

Consistently better stock than the other discount stores in the Friendship Heights area. Its also easy to navigate and the employees are always helpful. The only thing Ive noticed its not very good for is floor-length/maxi dresses. Ive never seen them have more than a couple stuffed on a sale rack. Great shoe selection and wide array of beauty products.

Found great deals. Sadly after waiting 20 minutes in line, I had to leave them there. Not sure why they have cut back on staff at this popular location, particularly as we approach the holidays but dont waste your time. Be sure to check how quickly theyre checking people out before you pick out your purchases. Disappointing.

This Rack caters to an older female demographic, as compared to the Rack in Pentagon City. Ill often find myself going in and leaving empty handed because the clothes just arent my style. Its a fairly large location, and they have a great jewelry selection, but it also smells like feet in there on occasion.

For serious hunters only. This location has a great selection of designer wear but you have to dig, dig, dig, to find the best bargains. The store is often messy and cluttered so its best to shop in the mornings and on Sundays. Dont wait in line! Ask someone on the floor to ring up your stuff.

Great selection of business wear but it can get crazy busy at times here. I would prefer to come on the weekend as opposed to a work day. However, it is super convenient to have a store so close to my job just in case I experience some type of wardrobe malfunction (which happens often lol).

Im only happy about this place because my daughter spilled tons of lotion on the floor and an employee and the lady said all was well and cleaned it up. We dont get that treatment too often in Texas. The people were well manned and the store was located in a good looking area.

A great place to stop after work if youre looking for a new pair of shoes or a dress to wear to some kind of event. At this point, I think most of the shoes in my closet are from this Rack and they were all affordably priced and stylish.

Well organized, bright, and big. This rack has a good selection, some stellar deals (if you dig), and decent hours. Good location. I found a very expensive designer sweater for almost 90% off. Its the best clothing deal Ive ever found.

Good prices but be very careful when you checkout -- Ive had 2 major mistakes at the checkout counter: (1) double billed for the same shirt and (2) messed-up the charge process for "free alteration". Watch that closely!

Was very impressed with the service - they helped me find what I needed quite quickly and efficiently although I needed something off season in a small size. Checkout can entail a bit of a wait if it is busy though

This is an awesome location for a Nordstrom Rack downtown. The prices arent as cheap as youd hope from an "outlet," but its a good "big store" option for downtown, something that is rare in the city.

Good selection of home, dresses, shoes, and purses. Even found wool camping socks there once. Definitely avoid it during the lunch hour and right after work as the line can get pretty long.

Good place to get some sale priced brands that are not in the main Nordstrom. Youll have to dig and you may come out empty-handed sometimes, but its a good place to seek out hidden gems.

Not a bad place to stop in for some necessities (socks, athletic wear, things you dont care too much about picking and choosing). The dress and shoe selections could be more interesting.
