**partial of the email I sent JCrew after my bridal appointment. I’m not typically one to send complaints about anything. Ever. But this experience took the cake. Someone might want to fill in your girl Bonnie at Georgetown on the fact that this is a fun/happy time. A time that I HAVE LITERALLY FLOWN HUNDREDS OF MILES (1,013 to be exact) TO COME TO YOUR STORE. A brief description of the appt. - Bonnie arrives and takes us back to the bridal room. Which, by the way could use a little work as well, if I wanted to go to a stock room and sit on a dirty couch I would do that myself without the added expense of flying somewhere and torturing myself with less than pleasurable company. -Bonnie introduces herself and begins grilling me about what I am looking for in a dress. I use the phrase “grilling” here because sweet Bonnie passed on the opportunity to tastefully and politely ask me about the largest event in my life to-date to obtain details that she could use to pull gowns for me, and instead went with the ever frustrating and slightly rude demanding of answers approach. She failed to understand that when she asked me if I knew what I wanted and if I had ever tried dresses on before, and my response was no; that, that truly did mean, I didn’t know what I wanted and had never tried on dresses before. So after some frustrating interrogation from her, I try to explain that the wedding is a farm-to-table affair, outdoor, in early October, and near Dallas, Texas. I also mention that I’ve scoured over the gowns online and would love to just be able to see some because I don’t feel like i’ll have a good idea of what I would like until I can actually see, touch, and feel them. Bonnie, still doesn’t get it. I tell her the one dress I REALLY wanted to try on, the Harper Beaded Gown. She responds with, “we don’t have it here.” And doesn’t offer to bring anything similar. -She abandons the tactic of speaking to me and leaves me with an iPad. At this point I’m getting the distinct notion that she doesn’t actually know how to do her job, since she needs me to tell her precisely what I’m looking for. (By the way, did I mention I work in sales also? I know what her job looks like. And I also knew she was not doing it well, but at this point, I’m still giving her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she’s just all business and is going back into that little closet and come back with an amazing selection of dresses. She’s a wedding consultant savant with no personality. I can take that.) Nope. Not the case. But I’ll skip a few of the agonizing details and just hit the highlights for you. -She did not understand dressing a body type. I even gave her a freebie. A hand out. I said, i love my shoulders and neck line. No dice. Chick still didn’t get it. -At one point i wanted to try on one of the more structured dress without my bra on. SHE PANICKED. If she’s that uncomfortable with breasts or naked bodies, I can say with confidence that she is in the wrong business. -Finally the last dress she puts me in, is OK. It strikes some enthusiasm amongst the group. They ask if they can see another dress similar to it, she responds with, “No, you’re out of time.” There are seriously so many things wrong with that appointment. But I’m too irritated to remember the rest. I honestly left so exhausted from trying to appease Bonnie’s awful attitude. I could have out sold your girl 10-1 that day and I don’t know a thing about your wedding attire. I say that confidently.

Very disappointed in the service JCREW provided. I made my appointment weeks in advance and had friends coming in from out of state to attend my appointment with me. The day before they called to cancel my appointment with no options for rescheduling because they were "short on staff". I spoke with at least 3 workers there and then kept getting mixed messages. Someone would call to confirm my appointment then someone would email me to cancel my appointment. After all the back and forth, they settled on having the stylist on the floor to cover my appt. She was unable to tell me names of dresses and price. Also took my measurements and said she would email them, but havent heard from then since. We were in and out in less than 10 mins. After having superb service at BHLDN next door, was especially disappointed. They also had very limited selections of things I could try on and barely got any assistance! If traveling from afar, not worth stopping be here while BHLDN is next door.

I had issues with a bridesmaid dress that I ordered (on sale) online so made an appointment to come in for a fitting. The consultant (I think her name was Jessie) was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She wasnt pushy and was very honest. I tried on the dress I originally purchased and then a few more than she brought over. In the end, instead of talking me in to buying a new and more expensive dress, she offered to returned the dress I bought and reorder it in a better size. After I left she called me to let me know that the dress was now on final sale but she added a provision so I could exchange it within 60 days should I have problems AND (the best part) she added a new sale code to get me 40% off! $107 for a bridesmaid dress?? Cant beat it! :) Highly recommend going there over a pushy boutique.

Came in to the store looking for a bridesmaids dress for my brothers wedding in May. Dress requirements? Navy and knee length. My mom and I were very excited to see that the wedding apparel was sold in Georgetown so off we went. Upon arrival I was told that we were not even allowed to see the dresses without an appointment although that was not expressed over the phone or on the stores website. When I asked if there may be any navy dresses in the non-wedding section (which is not out of the question as navy is a common dress color) I was told curtly that there was not a dress that would match my description unless I made an appointment. Very rude service, ended up leaving and finding a lovely dress at anthropologie on the same block. J. Crew lost my business today.

My first experience at J.Crew Bridal in Georgetown was a true example of 5 star customer service! I was in the area visiting and needed to return two dresses that I had ordered from the website for a wedding that I will be attending next week. I did not have an appointment but a salesperson, Bonnie overheard my need. She insisted she will take care of me. I tried on several dresses and she went above and beyond to find the correct size and style for me! She returned my previous purchases and order the new dress with 1-2 day shipping. I would highly recommend visiting Bonnie at the J.Crew Georgetown location. Diana Klug

Gigantic store with a wide selection of clothes. The mens section is on the smaller side which is unlike J. Crew. Service is slow. Limited parking outside.

They offer wide selection for off-shoulder clothing this year.

Great store. Same as any J Crew you would find.
