They didnt deliver in time promised, and they didnt deliver the product promised. I sought to order a bouquet of flowers and a bag of dark (or mostly dark) chocolate sfor my wife who works very close (2 minutes walking, and thats walking slow) from this shop. The proprietor whom I spoke to assured me that she had dark chocolate, albeit dark chocolate with fruit (e.g., raspberry) filling. Fine, I said. She upsold me to the "medium" size ($20) bag of chocolates. I inquired as to delivery (it was nearly 10am when I ordered by phone). I was told, "No more than 3 hours". Oh, and she charged me $10 for delivery, which she assured me was a "discount" from the usual $15 or $20 delivery price. Chocolates in a very small bag were mostly milk chocolate (maybe 3 pieces dark). Flowers were... meh. And delivery? Over 4 hours after the order. I called at the 3 hour mark and was told the delivery guy had gotten stuck in the elevator. Sorry, but thats not my problem, especially when you charged me $10. Bottom line: take your business elsewhere. This shop is lousy.

DO NOT PURCHASE FLOWERS FROM THIS VENDOR!! The only reason I am giving one star is so others are warned! I would give negative stars if I could!! This was by far the worst floral experience I have ever had. I received a call the day after my order was supposed to deliver to say the delivery guy did not leave the flowers on the door because DC was "too hot". What a lame excuse since Im in Phoenix! I was completely taken off guard since I was never contacted. They said they sent me an email, which I never received. The worst part is that I did receive an email charging me a $20 delivery charge not ten mins after I got off the phone for flowers that never occurred to my niece who celebrated her 16th Birthday without anything to show for it from her Aunt.

This flower shop had done the most outstanding work for engagement petition dinner. i set up a few table at my house and i need some center piece for each one, and some standing arrangement for the decoration of my house, this flowers combined the perfect color with the flowers creating the most beautiful and natural look to every single bouquet. I totally recommend this flower shop. People who work there are amazing and very helpful. Thanks Capitol for doing a great job for my party and make this day so special and memorable to me.

Capitol Florists delivered my "last minute" order with time to spare!! My mother loves her gorgeous arrangement (her words). I have been disapointed by other florists in the DC area, but no more. Everything theyve done for me... from big event to little bouquet... has been fresh and beautiful. This is my go to when I want to impress a client or let family know I love them. I called to have two vases of flowers delivered to friends staying at a DC hotel. The woman on the phone was pleasant and helpful. She asked if they should be different or the same, took names and messages, asked if I wanted to sign them. They were delivered when I asked, all of the information was correct, and most importantly the arrangements were gorgeous.

Very Dissatisfied. I ordered flowers two weeks prior to Valentines day and they were delivered at 5 PM the day of. The florist forgot about the arrangement order so it was very sloppy and poorly done. The delivery person didnt even leave their car to deliver in person. Will NEVER go back and I would advise everyone else to do the same.

I have been ordering flowers to be delivered at the Capitol, several times for different occasions and over all Capitol Florist was the best place to deal with. Convenient shopping on-line, great selection of fresh flowers, even possible to deliver flowers same day 7 days a week ! Great Service - Great Flower Shop in D.C !!!

I came here to buy flowers, but they closed 15 minutes early. The lady on the phone said everything was already closed, and that while they are open until 7pm, they dont sell flowers until 7pm.
