Everyones eyes bug out when I say that I take my car to a dealership for maintenance. Here is why I do though...when I bring my car in, no one has ever tried to sell me something that I didnt need. If they can, they give me a heads up that something may need to be replaced the next time or possibly the time after that. I can have someone else look to see if it is true. I am sure that I could find someone else for less money, but I come back out of loyalty. When something is fixed on my car, it is fixed the first time. I have had mechanics, over the years, tell me one thing is wrong, they fix it, but the problem still exists. So then they fix something else. I would still have the problem & then take my car to another mechanic. In Pennsylvania, I had a service station doing the state inspection on the car. They replaced my windshield wipers, in order for it to pass inspection. The brand new windshield wipers that had just been replaced earlier that week. I have experienced the gamut of being ripped off, attempted to be ripped off, or just dealing with mechanics that didnt know what they were doing. Going to Delaware Subaru & Delaware Cadillac for service, I dont worry about a bad experience after dealing with them for over 5 years.

I bought a BRZ which is a rarer model, but they had 3 on the lot at the time. I asked for certain options and they told me they could put them in after market. I said I know that the car comes with them I want them even if I have to wait. They basically forced me to pick one off of the lot. They did have one in transport with most of the options that I wanted (not all) so I chose to put money down on this car. They then started pressuring me telling I had to buy the car right away or they would sell it (note I already had a deposit so they couldnt sell it) I wanted to go through my bank and make sure the loan was done properly and all. After they had the plates come in, but never gave me the registration, I didnt even realize I never received until a few months later when I was going through the car, so I stopped in and they basically called me a liar and said I had to go to DMV and wait there for a replacement (fine, but dont call me a liar). Their service is not any better had my oil changed there and they wouldnt even talk to me. If you want good customer service I do not recommend this dealership.

What great Hospitality Delaware Subaru shows! I am new to the area, and I was looking for a great dealership that was willing to work with my financial needs, but more importantly an atmosphere where you don’t feel under pressure with your big purchase. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Dorian , who gave an awesome first impression with his warm welcome and lively personality. I explained to him what I was looking for, he listened to exactly what I had in mind, and right away he showed me a few cars on the lot. The Dealership has a smaller staff, which I liked, they work well together and their communication between each other made my purchase smooth and on a timely matter. I than sat down with April Gambacorta, who was a delight to work with :) She truly went above and beyond to make my deal happen, and I couldn’t thank her enough. I read my reviews before I bought my car last week, and they were true to their standards. I would not go anywhere else for my next purchase but DE Subaru! Two weeks ago we unexpectedly found ourselves looking for a new car after a collision with a deer. Our interactions with Delaware Subaru were positive from the onset. We knew that we wanted a 2015 Impreza Limited with Eyesight which is a rare combination. We located that exact car on the Delaware Subaru website. We were greeted by Charles Gianakis when we came to the dealership. He told us that he would offer us a good deal; he lived up to his word, easily beating deals offered by the likes of Costco and other buying programs. He made the purchase a pleasure in contrast to the usual auto buying ordeal. The finance officer, April Gambacorta, matched Charles’ professionalism. She was well-prepared and the purchase went smoothly. We had done our homework on the Internet and knew costs, profits, etc. Delaware Subaru respected our knowledge and efforts; at each turn they offered us a fair deal. Charles and April were efficient, responsive and professional in our purchase. We look forward to years of safe and enjoyable driving with our new Subaru.

I had a terrible experience trying to purchase a car here. The salesman was incredibly unhelpful and uninformed about the WRX I was trying to purchase. Firstly, it was marked up $3000 over MSRP for "market adjustment," when every other dealer around had their WRXs listed for MSRP. Second, this dealer puts wheel well molding, door edge guards, and pinstripes on every single car in their lot. Its an incredibly pathetic attempt to get more money out of the customer. Third, as soon as I started shopping around, the sales person started pressuring me into purchasing their vehicle to the point where he tried to make it seem like they were my only option. They werent. I went to Matt Slap and purchased my WRB WRX from Dorian Bell, and I could not be happier. I addition, I got it for $5000 less than it would have cost at Delaware Subaru with more add ons, as well.

Was trying to negotiate via email with one person, this person could not discuss the deal. Ask for a quote specifically with a list of accessories. Could not get this straight. Asked about purchase options since I was looking to purchase remotely, if I could put a deposit down etc. Was finally forced to talk to another person, which took a total attitude with me at the mention of a deposit. Seems enough people just have to have subarus such that they can have this attitude. this is not the first Subaru dealer I spoke to with an attitude. I like the cars, but I dont need one that bad that Im going to put up with this. perhaps time to consider a different company altogether.

Not the biggest of dealerships which I felt provided a more personalized experience. I was able to request info online and within a few days had an appointment set up and a new vehicle in inventory waiting to test drive. Ultimately, Nick and Dave made the transaction incredibly smooth and extended their work day by nearly 1 hour in order to assist me. As someone who has worked in the service industry for the better part of 10 years, I greatly value solid customer service and I felt that the Delaware Subaru team embodied a great balance between professionalism and easygoing which suited me quite well.

Went to Delaware Subaru after searching all the site and test driving another car elsewhere. Other dealer didnt have thee car I was looking for after telling me he had it, wasted my time. Next morning went to Delaware Subaru was greeted by a nice young man who let me test drive the 2 cars I was interested in. When I came back James the salesman took over. He took his time to explain the difference between the two cars. We worked out a deal without too much hassle and both came away happy with the sale. Would be very happy to purchase another car with this dealership!
