I bought an electric reclining couch and oversized chair in July of 2015 after viewing their showroom in Laurel, DE. Delivery was 6 to 8 weeks which seemed average, but for the money we spent it seemed like an average time to wait. Delivery day came and only two guys showed up to carry this massive one piece of furniture inside (imagine your $2000 investment being bent in half)...well one of the guys ripped on of the wires off the recliner. He called it in right then and said we can use the couch as a loaner until a new one came in. Sounded to good to be true and I was right. After a few weeks we call the customer service area and get the news that our part hasnt even been ordered. We have to give them the serial number and furniture information, which apparently is not kept on file anywhere. Two months later I still dont have a working couch. Upset I go into the store and have them call to find out what is going on and like magic my part has arrived! I like the furniture I bought but customer service is terrible. Its obvious that communication within the company is poor and the company needs to re-evaluate its mission statement and the importance of customer satisfaction-not just when spending thousands, but when things get broken and parts are needed.

Well lets go back to the beginning. In early November 2015 we ordered a new couch oversized chair and an ottoman. We also purchased a recliner a few weeks later. We were told it would be in by Christmas. It was finally available for delivery in March. We purchased the protection plan represented by the sales person as protection againsEVERYTHING. The furniture was delivered on Memorial Day weekend - the recliner was never used until October 2016. By January the seat had ripped completely open across the front with the stuffing falling out. No kids just my husband and I. We filed a claim with Guardian (FYI they are crooks and I suspect this is not the first complaint). Guardian got the claim but forgot to process it. Finally cam out to the house in July. Received an email from them today - not going to cover the loss because it is a across a SEAM. Never will I shop with Johnny Janosik company again. Well done. Another consumer ripped off . Stick with the smaller stores. They have something to lose when customers are unhappy. Hope you are not on Facebook because I am headed there next.

After looking at living room furniture for several weeks and being hounded to death by salesmen we went into Johnny Janosiks in Dover. We walked in and within minutes a sales clerk met us. She introduced herself, asked how we were doing, and then asked us how she could help us. We told her what we were looking for and she showed us the area to look in. And guess what, she didnt follow us! After looking around for about twenty minutes we went back to a selection we liked Amy, our salesclerk came up to us and asked if we had any questions. Anyway, to make a long story short , we had the best salesclerk ever, Amy was very polite, knowledgeable, and her personality was great. We enjoyed every moment of our purchase. Johnny Janosik, hang on to Amy, she was a pleasure to do business with. Best buying experience ever!

We bought a sofa, reclining chair, and a swivel chair in August. We have 2 little ones, so the sales lady highly recommended that we buy the Guardsman service plan, because "ANYTHING that could possibly happen to it would be covered" (even cutting!), as long as it was reported within 5 days. So, 4 months later, our 2 yr old son found a permanent marker and drew on the cushions of the couch. I called Guardsman immediately and they had me fill out paperwork for it. I also called JJs and told my sales lady what had happened and she assured me that it would be covered. It was not! They said because it was a deliberate act (by my 2 yr old) that it was a "behavioral issue" and it would not be covered. I told the lady I spoke to at Guardsman what had been promised us and all she had to say was "you were misled".

Beautiful showroom. Crazy overpriced. Extra long wait for anything. Im talking minimum 3months most likely 4. Delivery people come out dont have tools or cant figure out how to put bunk beds together. Promised me that would fix it within a week. Fast forward two months and Im still waiting for my 1000 dollar bed to be correct. I said just take this bed and let me get another one in its place. Which I did. Wish I could have just gotten my money back and gone somewhere else. My mom bought a sleeper sofa from them 3 months to get, then something wrong with fabric.. Hours and hours on the phone to try and get anything. The only time you will be impressed by service is before you buy anything. Problem is there are not many places to buy in Delaware.

I cant say enough about the positive experience we had with Johnny Janosik. The Design Coordinator and Sales and Design Representative came to the house we are building, and took measurements and pictures. After looking at pictures of furniture we liked, they guided us to rugs, fabric, furniture, and artwork that we loved. Using their computer program, we could see how different wood, fabric, and styles looked together. They couldnt have been more professional; they made the entire process enjoyable. I would highly recommend them, and we will use them for ALL of our furniture and decorating needs. We got a great price too! On a scale of 1 to 10, they are a 12. All the extras they did you just dont see anymore at other stores.

Bought a power reclining sofa and within two months the seam stitching started to unravel. The store did take it back and replaced it. At the same time of sofa replacement , I bought a recliner to match. After using the recliner for two weeks , I kept hearing a weird sound when I sat down. After calling the store they sent a repair tech that said it was spare change and left. The weird sound is getting more constant and of course the store says its out of warranty. I flipped the chair over, slit the fabric to find most of the staples had pulled out of the frame. The store said I would have to pay for repairs. So much for American made furniture and any future business I would give Johnny Janosik.

I bought my bedroom furniture 9 years ago from JJ, I love the quality (Kincaid) of the furniture. The sales experience was not stressful and everything they promised they lived up to. So, when I needed new living room furniture they were my go to store. I found what I wanted, their prices reflected the quality - which was fair. The down side was it took more than a half hour for them to present pricing to us. The store was colder than a freezer so we eventually went to their entrance and outdoors to warm up. So the experience was bitter sweet. Advice - go there for quilt furniture- but wear a coat in The Summer and pack a lunch if you want pricing in a special order product.
