I rarely if ever write reviews but I have now had 3 separate instances (partially my fault for continuing to go back!) where I have walked into Hawley Lane Shoes in Stamford (this store only) and received absolutely no assistance from any of the salespersons in the store. I had to walk around and ask/beg/plead for help after 10+ minutes of being unattended to. The latest incident was on 5/28/10 at 3pm. The salespersons in this store seem more intent on talking with each other than they do customers. I have also had a negative experience with a return at Hawley Lane. Buying shoes is a personal experience - it really helps to have the advice of a knowledgable salesperson - unfortunately at this Hawley Lane Stamford location - they are severely lacking in this area. There are many other great shoe stores in the area where customer service is valued - I would suggest you spend your hard earned money there.

We received a coupon in the mail and decided to give Hawley a try. There is NO customer service. I showed up with two kids and we wanted to buy 6 pair of shoes. No one was willing to help us find sizes. When we finally asked for help, it seemed like we were pissing off the two employees on the floor. Additionally, the prices were high. We will not return.

This place is GREAT!! The sales associates were polite, friendly, knowledgeable. Prompt service had me in & out in no time. They gave me great information regarding the orthotics I needed.
