They used to be awesome, customer service friendly, helpful. NOT anymore, not sure what happened but I went in to buy nuts and bolts, had to hunt down what I needed out of many drawers and then they wanted the price from the drawer. When I told them I had to search many drawers and did not know the price. They told me I had to give them the price. I was appalled .. I told them I couldnt (at the register) and would not make the purchase and the cashier said "FINE!" Too lazy to figure out your own pricing ... this place has really changed. Sad - I went to home depot, they were great.

We try to do our best and having prices on everything, unfortunately the hardware area where there are approx 15,000 different nuts and bolts can not be priced out when brought to the counter, so we have signs in the area asking our customers to just bring qty and price that are on the 1200 bins that we have! We strive to be the best with service, prices and quality and have come a long way in the last few years of putting all inventory in the computer and many other substancial changes to provide our customers with the very best when they shop here!

Just moved into an older home nearby and needed an extra set of keys. Searched from store to store all the way from Mahopac, but no one had the model but Keneticut hardware...and by the time I drove here it was 1:59 pm. Nonetheless, the manager let me in anyway, at closing on Sunday to cut the key. Above and beyond service for this new customer! Ill be back! He saved me from calling a locksmith, with real attention to values and people.

Awesome. It has a family owned vibe and Im pretty sure it is. I prefer going here to a major hardware store if Im close by because I dont have to look for someone to help me. The employees ask you if you need help immediately.
