As a musician, guitarist (or other instrumentalist), or collector (autographed items, collectible albums, etc.), one can get very selective about where to buy things but especially so when it comes to pawn shops. You want to know the items youre buying dont just feel like used items but feel like artifacts that have a history that adds value: from the manufacturing history to the type of care the item has recieved. This is where Hat City Pawn stands out: they keep an unusually high product standard and the customer service is as professional as the scrutiny they invest in the merchandise they are willing to market and sell at their store. All of this applies to much more than musical instruments and other music related items. Hat City Pawn goes out of its way to deliver much more than your average pawn shop will, but, most importantly, their customer service is right on par with the best music stores and best merchants that sell all new stock. If youre looking to find a product that might be found in a store that only sells new items, Hat City Pawn is the place to start your sojourn so you can gauge market price, quality, appreciation and depreciation, and value right off the bat before making a final decision. Youll most likely make a purchase here off the bat or come back after looking around because their stock is all in near mint and excellent condition.

This is the worst pawn shop i have ever been to. I dont know what these other people are talking about but my experiences here have been awful. I came in with 2 pairs of headphones and he offered me 20$ for one and then 40$ for the other. after passing on his offer I tried to negotiate and work things out and he ends up offering me 40$ for both and i even tried to do 50 for both and his response was "im good" and he actually threatened me telling me "do i have to come around the side and throw you out?" Like dude, I am trying to make you money and get some cash in my pockets. These are both 200$ pairs of headphones and in good condition. Definitely did not work with me or know how to have a negotion. There are two parties and every single time I have been they wouldnt be flexible on a price. I have NEVER written a review before unless i received exceptional service but these guys take the cake on the worst business transaction I have ever been a part of. What jerks.

when it comes to electronics and othe products they are reasonable. but when it comes to silver coin and silver and gold jewelry they are nothing but thieves.i went there the other day with a bunch of silver. after weighing it out the employee torn to who i beleave is the owners son, and they began to whisper to each other. he finally came to me and offerd me $350. now if i was a crack head or needed the $ that instant i prolly would have taken it. but with me knowing what the price of silver that day was i was shocked at the offer. so i went to a place right over the boarder in Brewster NY and they without and issue gave me $575.. unless you kneed a quick fix, take the 10 min drive to brewster and make more $.

I have nothing but the best to say about this Pawn Shop. They are professional, honest and have an excellent return policy. I bought a laptop with Win 8 that I just wasnt thrilled with. No questions asked, they promptly exchanged and I made out like a bandit! This laptop had win 7 and a 17 " monitor and was like brand new. It was such an excellent experience! I have been to other Pawn Shops that just felt "sleazy" to me. Trust me...you will have a great experience and my laptop is just the greatest! Thank you Hat City Pawn....you did right by me and I am a customer for life.

Hat City Pawn is definitely the pawn shop to use in the greater Danbury area. Their greatest asset is most definitely the extremely friendly yet professional staff, who is always going out of their way to give you the most bang for your buck for any items youre selling/pawning, as well as being understanding and patient when it comes to making payments on your items. They get to know you and always will remember your name and face, making you feel more at home than just a customer. A+ great pawn shop definitely give them a go if you havent yet.

We went in to get a loan for a $5,000 (it has been appraised) diamond ring, the brunette dude behind the counter insinuated that it wasnt worth much money at all. It has been professionally appraised for insurance purposes. I wanted a small loan to pay off next week. When I told the man I knew a lot about jewelry and that it was worth quite a bit, he became annoyed with me and told me it wasnt worth his while to loan me anything much for the ring at all. He was very rude and doesnt like to be questioned, even politely about what he says.

Cut and dry pawn shop if you have items to sell or trade they will give you a fair pawn shop price for them, yes it can be difficult to get what u want , if you dont know what your doing, but in the end they will bend and sometimes accommodate if you state your claim correctly. They are straight forward and always on time with the money and they are very organized. All in all if your looking for a worry free environment thats gonna get you a couple bucks when you need it this is the place! thanks hat city pawn!

Hat City Pawn is a great store and environment to shop at. The customer service was top notch and I was able to get an amazing and competitive deal on a brand new 2010 Aquos Sharp 52in Flat Screen. Hat City Pawn is by far the best pawn shop in the greater Danbury area. They are the premier establishment and I would never consider going anywhere else. Their staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. They always offer the best prices for items you bring to pawn/sell. The guys at Hat City Pawn are great. Doug, Andy and Bill are stright shooters. Theyre honest fair and hard working. Ive taken loans out on merchandise and the terms are very fair. When I lost my job they worked with me so I didnt loose my merchandise. Their prices on the merchandise they sell is the best Ive seen in the Danbury area. A very good pawn shop. Tons of items to choose from if youre looking to buy. If youre looking to sell/pawn, they have excellent customer service and give you top dollar for your items. Unlike so many places, you dont feel like youre getting taken advantage of. The people who work there are nice, inviting and extremely fair. Overall, its a great shop for both buyers and sellers.
