PLEASE BE AWARE THAT I HAD A TATTOO DONE ON 11/09/14 BY JASON. TODAY IS 11/20/13 AND I HAVE MERSA. MERSA IS A NEW DEADLY VIRUS THAT KILLS QUICKLY. I HOPE I DONT END MY LIFE THAT WAY OVER A TATTOO. W/IN 46 HOURS, THE TATTOO STARTING FEELING UNWELL. I DID PHONE THE SHOP AND THEY TOLD ME TO FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS AND HOW TO PLAY SEESAW WITH OINTMENT AND THEY DID MENTION COMING IN. IN ANY EVENT, ON SATURDAY, 11/16, I WOKE UP AND KNEW I HAD AN EMERGENT CONDITION. I WENT TO PARKVIEW AND WAS UNFORTUNATELY MISDIAGNOSED WITH A 3RD DEGREE BURN; THEY SAID THEY HAD NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT. THEY DID ASK WHY DID THEY GO IN SO DEEP AND I SAID I WISH I KNEW. BY MONDAY, 11/18, I KNEW I HAD TO SEE ANOTHER DOCTOR. I DID FORTUNATELY AND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH MERSA. AGAIN, THE SAME UNSOLICITED QUESTION, WHY DID THEY GO IN SO DEEPLY? I AM VERY LUCKY TO HAVE THIS DREADFUL DISEASE DIAGNOSED BEFORE DEATH; IT DOESNT USUALLY HAPPEN THAT WAY. I COULD BE ONE OF THE FEW SURVIVORS OF MERSA. BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF ALL OF THIS IS THAT I PHONED THE TATTOO PARLOR TO LET THEM KNOW THAT I HAVE MERSA. AND THEY DEFENDED THEMSELVES, BLAMED ME FOR SOME WRONGDOING AND DID NOT HAVE A SINGLE SOLITARY HUMAN CELL TO SAY THAT THEY CARED, WERE CONCERNED, NONE OF THAT, JUST BLAMED ME. PLEASE BE AWARE OF WHAT THE WORST CASE SCENARIO IS, MERSA. THEY ADMITTED TO DOING LAYERING, A TECHNIQUE IN TATTOOING. I HAVE HAD 4 OTHER TATTOOS W/O A PROBLEM OR PAIN OR PAIN WHILE TATTOOING. THIS TATTOO HURT AND LOOKED NOT SO GOOD FROM THE START. NEW ELEMENT TATTOO MAY BE THIS OR MAY BE THAT BUT WHEN IT COMES TO CARING FOR PEOPLE IF IT INCLUDES THEM IN ANY WAY, THEY DO NOT CARE. THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY. IF THEY TRULY CARED ABOUT PEOPLE, THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN CONCERNED IN SOME WAY. THEY OPENED THE FLESH WHERE THE MERSA FORMED OR STARTED. BOTH DOCTORS HAVE TOLD ME MY CARE WAS SUPERB BUT BOTH QUESTIONED THE DEPTH OF THE TATTOO. MY ONLY HOPE IS THAT NEW ELEMENT REALIZES THAT THERE IS A HUMAN SIDE TO LIFE AND I HOPE THAT EVERYONE KNOWS THE RISK OF A TATTOO BY THEM, BY JASON. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Ive had 3 other piercings done here and theyve all been great. I went in to get my nose pierced a month ago and proceeded to stand and wait to be helped for almost 20 minutes while the man behind the counter with a black pony tail was cussing and yelling about some kind of personal issues to one of the other employees. He was being really vulgar and I was hoping he wasnt going to be the one to pierce me since he was clearly really pissed off. He finally had me go into the room and at this point I was scared. He was throwing stuff around, slamming drawers, and muttering under his breath while I waited. In the middle of all this, he decides its the best time to finish his conversation from earlier with his co-worker and leaves the room, from which I could hear him yelling again. So five minutes later he finally comes back and draws the dot on my nose, and gets pissed when I ask him to move it down. He didnt clean the needle before piercing and I never saw him wash his hands. He jerked my chin to the side instead of explaining to me that I needed to move. He was rough, unsanitary, and didnt say a single word to me the whole time. I didnt even feel like he looked at me as a human being. I brought my business here because my past experiences have been great; everyone was supportive and friendly. Sadly, this man displayed the worst and most unprofessional customer service I have ever experienced, and I dont plan on returning.

ROUGH AND RUDE!! I had three piercings preformed at new element, both nipples and my tongue. The "artist" Jason was very rough while preforming my tongue piercing. It also seemed that he was extremely put out by having to preform my piercings...it seemed like he had other things he wanted to be doing. My nipples came out fine...my tongue however was done at an extreme angle and ripped on day two. I was not provided with any after care instructions, even after asking, besides being told i NEEDED to buy an over priced bottle of mouth wash from behind the counter. Ive always heard good things about new element...and about Jason...but I was very unhappy and will not be going back...

Great place other than the "artist" Matthew. Have been getting the run around on trying to get a tattoo for weeks- finally paid $20 just to get scheduled for my tattoo and then when I asked him to see the drawing before I get it done on me to be sure its what I want, he tells me he doesnt want to "have this conversation bc it stresses him out and Im babysitting him about it". Then continues to tell me "he isnt excited about doing tattoos".. Then why are you an "artist"?! Ill definitely be finding an artist elsewhere that takes his profession seriously and knows how to treat people and his customers... Oh ya, was also told "Im not a customer" yet he took my money....

No stars deserved. If I could give -5, I would. 4 of us went to get piercings together and the guy who performed them was SO RUDE. It was unreal. Their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Anywhere. They do not care about you, they want you in and out and they are snappy and complete jerks. The guy doing our piercings was completely annoyed the whole time. By far the worst service I have ever gotten anywhere. I am never going back and I will tell people to not go there. It may be cheap but being disrespected is not worth it. I would rather pay more for quality customer service. I cannot stress this enough. SOOOO INCREDIBLY RUDE.

I WILL NEVER GIVE THEM MY BUSINESS AGAIN!! I went in to get my jewelry changed for my tragus since the old jewelry fell out, the guy who was changing my jewelry was the rudest person ever, Ive had my tragus done for months now and never had a problem with it until he changed the jewelry, he was so rough, fast and forceful with it like he had better things to do and made it bleed like crazy and didnt even clean up the blood that was rolling down my ear, changed it and walked out, its been a couple hours since he changed it and it is now swollen, red and still bleeding and hurts so much worse than it ever did when I got It done. Very disappointed!!!

I have been getting tattooed by Derrick for years now and have had the best experiences imaginable every single time. Everybody in the shop is knowledgable and friendly, and all of their work is impressive. Derricks work is seriously amazing though . I live in Boulder (a three hour drive from Pueblo) and it has never even been an option for me to go to anybody else to get my work done. He has turned my most half baked ideas into works of art. Derrick is so good at what he does, even my previously tattoo free friends and family go to him now. Please, do yourself a favor and go to New Element.
