Horrible, Horrible, Horrible place!!! I was very excited to get tattooed at this shop yesterday I came in with a big smile, said please and thank you, I could not have received more hostility from the "artist" (ha ya right). Had a sketch of my very simple tat (it was the word warrior with a simple line drawing of an arrow head and end coming out of the beginning and end of the word.) The artist did not like the idea of the tat being on top of my shoulder and said that was a stupid place for a tat. I playfully said well I would take off one of the chevrons to make it easier for ya, but theres a significance in there being three. He said " I could care less either way." He then preceded to tell me where and how I should do my tattoo. I figured he knew more on the subject than me so I attempted to compromise, but every time I spoke I got rolling eyes and deep sighs. I tried to tell him my vision for the tat and he took my ID and angrily made copies and banged things around like a child rather than listen to me. All I requested was that instead of the dot the artist drew that it could be an actual circle like I drew on my paper. The guy came back thirty minutes later with an incorrect drawing and when I tried to merely ask about the issue he held his drawing an inch from my face and yelled is this what you asked for?! In addition he had incorrectly reversed the front and back ends of the arrow, which again were simple line drawings of a triangle and three chevrons and would take all of one minute to fix. I told him he lost my business and walked out. This was obviously a sad sad man ( I believe it was William) who has issues in his personal life, and is taking it out on customers. His behavior was worse than my two year olds. Im so glad now that I walked out because I wouldnt want this guy to touch me with a ten foot stick. Who treats someone this badly and disparages their tattoo that means something to them? This person is bad for business, and I would not employ him. Not to mention why is he even in this line of work if he hates it? I would NEVER recommend this shop to anyone EVER. To the employee who treated me this way: I did nothing wrong to you at all. I am a mother, a veteran, and also had the intention of giving you the fattest tip you got all day, and you treated me like garbage. You are not a good human being, and I hope im lucky enough to never cross your path again.

My wife and I had been waiting for quite a while to get her tattoo redone. I was also considering have one done, my first. We wanted to find somewhere special... something that met our expectations on the entire experience. We took a look on the web and saw a few local shops advertised and decided to read some of the sites and look at the art. Once we had decided what we were looking for, we took to the web. The first result was Element Tattoo. We took a look and were overwhelmed by the talent displayed on the site. I hadnt needed to look elsewhere. I called in and spoke with Jedi. He told me they get so many phone calls a day, an in-person consultation would be the only way to book an appointment... they obviously do a bit of work and only wanted serious inquiries. We decided to have our kids spend the day with Grandma and wanted to see the shop in person. We went on a Friday, knowing we were going to have to wait to book an appointment. Little did we know the stars aligned and they had a cancellation. We made the decision to get our tattoos done that day due to the amazing amount of luck we had found. I was a bit nervous, and somewhat skeptical at first. After speaking with several of the tattoo professionals, I became a bit more at ease. After everything is said and done, this shop went above and beyond to meet and exceed my expectations. I am by no means a tattoo connoisseur or enthusiast, but I can say that as someone who values quality work and a professional demeanor, as well as comfortable atmosphere, I will never need to look for another tattoo shop again if I decide to have more work done. I will easily recommend this place to all my friends without hesitation. I wish I could give a 6th star, just do to my overwhelming satisfaction. Great job Element, keep up the wonderful work. All in all, completely satisfied in every aspect with the work, and the artists.

Element tattoo is hands down one of the best group of tattooists Ive ever encountered. Kelly Edwards has been tattooing me for three years. I came into the shop with many different ideas running through my mind; different script, traditional, Japanese, all sorts of images I wanted on my body. I sat down with Kelly and we talked it through. He talked my out of putting some rather terrible graffiti on my body in retrospect (I was young and eager to get tattoos, not very I knowledgeable on how it all really works). I know how a full cohesive back piece, sleeves, and chest piece. All of my art is quality, custom, high end work. I would never ever recommend a different shop, hell I drive hours to come down here from the Austin area. The shop is clean, the artists are PASSIONATE And care about their art. They want their clients to have masterpieces to last a life time, and not just put shitty tattoos on you in exchange for money. They have integrity. For examples of my tattoos Ive had done at Element by Kelly. My instagram is @enjoitab

BRIAN PITTMAN - Brian is, without a doubt, the best artist in San Antonio. I diligently researched every shop in San Antonio based on many reviews online including Dandyland, Flesh Electric, Wicked Ways, Black Point and many others. I needed a very serious artist, not just someone who does good tattoos. I was referred to Brian by a friend and was considering going to Austin. Was i relieved to find Brian...... This guy is mutl-talented, i read a bad review on him from some douchebag who is just an idiot. Brian is working on a sleeve for me right now and I couldnt be happier with the results. Brian is a serious, serious artist. He is also an accomplished painter. I will never have work done by anyone other than this guy, the more he works on me the more i realize he can do just about anything, any style and any type of work. If you want serious art, go to BRIAN PITTMAN.

Please disregard the less than flattering remarks concerning Brian and element tattoo. Brian has been tattooing me for almost 7 years now, and he, and Laraine are the only artists i let tattoo me at all. Brian did a cover up for me many years ago, and I have been going to him ever since. He is now finishing a whole sleeve on me, and its better than I could have hoped. Everyone at element is top notch. Brian is sleeving up 1 arm, and Laraine is sleeving up the other..... But I would not hesitate to get tatted by anyone at element. Laraine is amazing as well..... But hey, dont just believe me.... Go to element , talk to them, ask to see their portfolios....one cant lie about that. Go see for yourself..... Do your research, and you will always go back to element! Dont listen to people reviewing that dont know what theyre talking about!!!!!!
