Ive worn glasses and contacts for years, and really didnt want to go to a Lenscrafters. Im very lucky to have found Dr. Mamalis. He is the best optometrist Ive ever been to. Very systematic and knowledgeable; I wish all of my doctors were like him. The office is clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I arrived at 12 for a 1215 appointment, was in the chair at 1215 and done with a glasses/contact exam and Lasik discussion in 45 minutes. How often do you find an office that runs on time??? Finally, the choice of glasses is not that of a larger retail store, but they carry high quality, brand name frames. I walked away with a single vision pair of metal framed womens glasses with anti-glare/scratch for $400. Couldve been about $250 without the anti-glare/scratch... but I was set on it before I set foot in the store. Highly recommended!

Eye Dr. for life...my husband, mother and I have all seen Dr. Mamalis for 12 years now. He is very professional and much more thorough than the ever changing eye doctors at the mall. Many of the staff have remained the same over the years and they are always friendly and efficient. You will find an eye doctor for life with Eye Care of Union Square.

I looked all over the place for the perfect frames, and although they didnt do my exam, they happily ordered my frames and accepted my prescription and insurance. The people here are very welcoming and friendly.
