The cinnamon rolls gets 5 stars, however the customer service gets less than 1 star! We visit Estes Park on a regular basis and was told about this place on a visit last fall. My parents were visiting from NC we found the general store and loved the cinnamon rolls. My parents as well as another guest in the store at the time thought the man running the cash register was somewhat on the rude side, not friendly. We enjoyed our cinnamon rolls and didnt give it any more thought. Yesterday 7/3/16 I called to see what time they closed and was told 6:00 PM and I asked if they were open on the 4th of July and the lady that answered acted like that was a stupid question and said "well yeah, we open every day" Like I was supposed to know that. I asked about ordering some of the cinnamon rolls and she said they needed a days notice for 6 or more. I went ahead and placed an order for 6 and was told it would be $18 and she asked when I would be picking them up? I told her it would be on the 4th and she wanted an exact time because she was busy... That should have been a red flag right there so I told her to go ahead with the order and we would be there before noon. We arrived at 10:10 AM and the same guy was at the cash register and there was no one customers in the store but us and he never said hi, welcome or how can he help us... I had to start the conversation and told him we were the to pick up an order that was placed yesterday and all he said was "name", I gave him my first name and he said "last" I gave it and she said you are early and she is still working on it. Another gentleman walked in and he didnt greet him either and he had to ask for a cup of coffee. About a minute later a lady that makes the cinnamon rolls said very loud and rude "he clearly said he would be here after noon and I cant stand people like that! about 5 minutes later she storms up front with a white paper bag, throws it on the counter, staples it shut, slams the stapler on the counter, lets a big sigh of breath and gave me the worst go to hell look I have ever seen...! I have never said a word to either of them except I was there to pick up and order and gave him my first and last name! I should have told her and him where they could stick the damn things and walked out! We will not be returning to visit this rude establishment again! Customer service is key and they need to find it...!

A friend told me it would be worth the 8.2 mile drive from Estes Park down Devils Gulch to Glen Haven General Store for the "best cinnamon rolls on earth". Well, we made the short drive and they were absolutely right! These cinnamon rolls were unquestionably the best Ive ever had. Theres a reason they wont sell you more than 5 unless you order them the day before. The owner told me that shed bake us "6 dozen" if I wanted them, but Id need to call her a day in advance. If you are reading this review, Id recommend doing just that.... call in advance and order as many as will fit in your car!

I want to support this place as I live right down the road but the owners are still miserable curmudgeons. Why would they even have a business dealing with the public if they seem to hate people to begin with? They were like this before the flood too. They either need to hire people that know how to have a conversation without coming off as rude and careless or maybe sell the business to someone that knows how to talk to people. Dont forget us locals are the ones that will keep you in business. They do have amazing cinnamon rolls and cheap coffee though.

best cinnamon rolls, hands down. Johnsons corner, eat ur heart out...these are hours old, made w/love,by my kind of people, have waited @ construction stop for an hour to get one(shouldnt that be way done by now?)and you cannot equal the setting if its too much for you to get there, dont go,more for me!!!ps,the "staff" also works as the fire chief....and his attitude is part of the fun, known him for years....try smiling, chatting about the road,or,town,or get over it,This man would throw you on his shoulder in a fire, even if he didnt like you!!

Absolutely love this place. The cinnamon rolls, fudge, and cherry cobbler are amazing. Yes the owners can sometimes seem like they dont want to talk but put yourself in their shoes with the flood. That road has been down for almost 3 years. The dot has never been upfront about the work. You be a small business and not know will I be able to be open and pay bills. So next time you decide to complain. Ask yourself do I know what they are going through.

There are other places in the state that claim they have the best cinnamon rolls, but I would have to disagree. Glen Haven I feel have the best cinnamon rolls, but they also have other deserts along with a lot of other gifts that you dont just find anywhere. If you are headed to Estes Park I would highly suggest driving through Glen Haven & spending some time at the General Store.

Our favorite place for homemade cinnamon rolls (the best ever!) and other awesome items including cherry cobbler, varieties of fudge, sandwiches on freshly baked bread (yummy), muffins, and more! AND coffee is .25!!! There is a gift store with lots of one of a kind items. Too much to list!! Go for the goodies and the atmosphere!!

Best cinnamon rolls in Colorado! My husbands favorites are the cherry cobbler and the homemade fudge! I would rather get a sandwich there made with fresh baked bread than anything in Estes. Their gift shop boasts handmade quilts, and is a fun place to shop for Christmas gifts! Dont pass them by!

Stopped in on our bike just to get shelter from the hail. Had to have a cinnamon roll cuz they looked so good. The best cinnamon roll Ive ever had! The people are friendly, the baked goods are amazing, and the crafts are well priced. Definitely worth the stop!

The man running the cashier was very rude and overall, the customer service was lousy. Too bad,. Glen Haven is such a beautiful, little town. You would expect a friendlier place to stop. I would advise skipping this place and driving the extra 15 miles to Estes.

Way too many rules and rude signs. NO BATHROOM....NO TAP WATER....DO NOT PARK HERE.......IF YOU WANT AN EXTRA PLASTIC FORK THEY ARE 10cents......NO EATING INSIDE.....I think I will drive right on past next time. They do not make you feel welcome at all.

If if the drive to and from Glen Haven isnt spectacular enough, stop in for a coffee and cinnamon roll. Enjoy it on the benches outside while hummingbirds dance overhead. Super nice people. Highly recommend it, but leave a cinnamon roll for me!
