Just spent the Memorial Day weekend fishing at Spinney Reservoir. We chose a primitive campsite with Chaparral as it is close to the lake. I have to say, the folks at the store were very helpful. They have a good selection of lures and other tackle specifically for the 3 lakes in the area. They were also very helpful with some great fishing reports. They also basic groceries, can fill your propane tank, and sell you some firewood. The campgrounds were OK, though a bit muddy from thunderstorms. You also had to watch out for the horse poop all over. That will probably disappear as the season moves along. The outhouses, like most outhouses, would also benefit from a community lime bucket. I have to say, the people here are what makes the rating. With a little attention to the facilities, this can be a much better place. All that said, we will be back.

Its easy, simple and outstanding for a middle of almost no - where location. Excellent campsites w/ or w/out electrical hookups. A couple of motel rooms and a bunk house w/ multi beds for rent. Excellent fly selection and lures along with all the baits you need for Spinney and eleven mile reservoirs. Extremely knowledgeable owner and staff, I love this place! Some of the biggest fish in the state of CO .

Great place to stop at if youre fishing in the area. The owner gave me so many good tips about how to learn to fish at 11 Mile Reservoir and when and where I should be at for the different fish. The mountains just see me to have a bunch of genuinely nice people who like to share what they know about fishing in the area. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Everyone was so kind here. They treat veterans amazing even though we never asked for a thing. The campsites were clean and they even had a dump station on site. We love supporting small businesses and this one was a great one to support

GREAT guy that owns the place, super helpful on dishing conditions, etc. . GREAT Coffee, great deals on lures, dlys, and dishing conditions. They have camping right by Spinny Res. Too.
