Friday morning coffee here is the pinnacle of my week! The staff is friendly and upbeat. The lattes are perfectly prepared to my liking! Whittier Cafe has an Ethiopian bent that is intriguing, but not overwhelming. But, most of all, I come for the people! Neighborhood people, cross-town people, out-of-town people, famous actor people, preacher people, agnostic people, Texas people, musical people, poetic people, teacher people, ....okay, you get the idea....just authentic real everyday people finding their way through life!...oh, and the art on the walls reflect this. I love this place!

The people at the Whittier Café use excellent coffee beans. I dont know who grows and roasts the beans, but the café did right by choosing them. The coffee has rich mellow flavor for a light roast, and is piping hot (except when its iced). Ambience is calm, with just enough room to have a seat w/ the other customers (outdoor seating can handle overflow). I am fond of the almond croissants they serve, but unfortunately have not taken more time than it takes for a quick pastry and coffee to go. I think the Whittier Café is a place best enjoyed at length.

Awesome cafe. Ive been going here pretty consistently for the past few months and it just keeps getting better. They have amazing outdoor seating that is very dog friendly - even during the winter (heaters!) - the coffee is outstanding, breakfast burritos are great, and the staff is always so friendly. 10/10.

Very cute/cool place. Super nice staff and nice atmosphere. I just had the chocolate bobka, but I have Zebars standards and this one was really good! Also, I am a big fan of soft seats, so I really appreciated that there werent hard chairs.

Very friendly. Great coffee. Very good atmosphere and plays a good combinations of old R&B, Reggae and Blues at a almost perfect for me volume. Has limited food but very good muffins. Kids are very welcome and generally well behaved.

I absolutely love this spot, Solomie is a beautiful soul! I dont have any need to go anywhere else for my coffee, the drinks here are wonderful, and her yummy treats are perfection! We love hanging here on lazy Sunday afternoons ♡

This was a pleasant accidental find! I was searching for coffee on my way to City Park and stumbled upon Whittier Cafe. The barista was incredibly kind and accommodating. Really great coffee and prices!

Cozy, nice dining areas and chill music, staff seemed friendly but wasnt too knowledgeable about the menu. Croissant was old. Coffee was just a little burnt. Had high hopes for this setting.
