I enjoyed my first experience so much that I recently bought a second car from them! This is my 3rd dealer I have dealt with in my life and by far the best! Seemed more like I was dealing with a friend than a salesman, as he was straight with me and always looked out for what I wanted not what served him best. What a rare treat when buying a car. Cliffnotes: Exceptional service! Exceptional value for the cars I have purchased. Each has been problem free I just buy and drive and change my oil cars are good. I recommend this place if you want a no hassle buying experience without having to deal with unscrupulous dealers that every other place has, especially at the under 6k price point. I couldnt be happier with my cars! A year back I needed a cheap reliable economy car that could survive a road trip to Oklahoma. I purchased a 1990 Integra from Shift and put 20K (yes in a year lot of trust in my car) miles on it since and did nothing but change the oil in it and tires. I recently sold my Integra and needed something bigger for the family and shopped around. I ended up coming back here because my first deal was fantastic in all aspects (price, value, customer service) and I didn;t see anything I liked on autotrader or craigslist for the price. I bought a small SUV from shift in June of 2013. Rabi worked with me, made sure I was happy and took care of all the small grievances I had with the vehicle. Its been 3 months since I got my new (to me) car and am very happy! This may be important to mention, but I paid no dealer handling fees or other hidden charges. The price we agreed upon was the price I paid. At a dealership. Yes really! So I have purchased 2 cars from Shift and couldnt be happier. No buyers regret (I still think I walked away with a mighty fine deal), my kids love my new car and the service is exceptional along with the value. When my daughter comes of age I know I will be coming back, along with happily recommending my family and friends to this place. In fact my Dad may be purchasing his next car from them he was so impressed with mine.

I was in Denver in late March of 2013, and needed a used car. I did not have much time and many of the private parties I contacted off Cragslist were slow to respond, so I started calling dealers. Needless to say the realm of used cars is not a fun one to navigate, and in many of my phone contacts I could feel the hype. In my search I came across a car like I wanted on Cragslist, called the number, and Rabi (pronounced “Robbie”) promptly answered. What struck me after talking with him about the car was his steady, plain, straight forwardness. I had a sense that if I went to see the car that there would be no surprises. I called back several times with questions, and he seemed steady, patient, and upfront. This was important with my time constraint, as I had no time to fool around, but needed information. When I got there I immediately liked what I saw, both in his business and the car. Everything seems to be upfront. The car I bought from him seems to be a real gem, a 1993 Toyota Corolla with 113,000 miles on it. The main point I want to make is that it does seem that Rabi has real desire to deal with good cars, and he seems to have a nose for them. After we settled on a price, the deal continued in the same steady way it started, I found this refreshing. He has no hidden fees and seems concerned to be careful and do everything legitimate. He did not charge me for the temporary tag; I dont think this is common. These are some of my impressions and experiences with Shift Automotive. All that said I would urge you to use caution and check out any car you want to buy as much as you can. The car is presented as it is, do your best to really see it as it is. Many guides on how to buy a used can be found on the web. Study them. For me this was a good experience, just what I needed; and really, quite unexpected.

I tried to look at a dipstick on the car I was looking at, and Rabbi said you have to check oil after it cools. I said that is right. Then he said the oil level would go up after it cooled. I said, that makes no sense, as doesnt oil expand when it cools? He said the oil would drain back down and oil level would go up and I said oh, yeah, that makes sense. Then he proceeded to lecture me on how oil doesnt expand when it gets hot only transmission fluid.. I continued to disagree. When I sent him a link showing that oil does expand when heated, he refused to sell me the car. Footnote: I emailed to complain about the impact that wasting a day driving 6 hours roundtrip had on me, as well as the impact being talked down to because I would not agree oil does not expand when it is heated had. I also mentioned that they should have known about the Lexus lugnut if they sell so many like they say, and, how unnerving it was to see so many guys just sitting around, doing nothing, and well, they saw fit to call the police and say that was "harrassment". DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. They got off Scott-free for wasting my day. Rabbi refused to take me on the highway for a test drive because it was a waste of time.. but he wasted my whole day and had no problem at all with it. He had to make me pay for telling him the impact that had on the life of someone fighting cancer who just hit a deer and needed a good car, fast... and so he did. Scum, IMHO. If the jerk hadnt called the police on me for standing firm that oil expands when it is heated, I probably would have taken this horrible review down today. Obviously, the police did nothing, because I did nothing wrong. It was payback for my honesty. Rabbi had to harrass me with police calling me to pay me back for my honesty.

100% the best dealer experience i have ever had. My wife and me bought 2 cars from here in March 2016, i waited a month before posting my review to assure my opinion. I work as a mechanic and can say this place is 100% honest about each car, no issues have neen found that wasnt told to us before buying. Both cars have been very reliable which is something other dealers cant say as i see used cars at work that people buy from big name dealers that have tons of issues the customers were unaware of. Not the case here. Rabi were very fair on the prices of both cars with no hassle. I would 100% recommend buying a car from here, in fact i will be going with my brother inlaw soon as he wants to buy a car from here after hearing about are experience. No b.s. just fair prices and reliable cars is shiftauto go see rabi you wont be disappointed.
