I used to spend hours driving around, looking for great used books at garage sales. Well, not any more! Since I found this store several years ago, my whole family has fallen in love with it. The staff is especially kind and helpful to my kids, which means a lot to a homeschooling mom. On every visit we find new and unexpected treasures among their huge collection. They actually seem to really like it when you hang out, relax, read, pet the cats, and visit with the staff (Arthur has a great sense of humor.) We often spend an hour or more there a couple of evenings a week. From the start, they made us feel like were part of the family. The books are very well-organized, but the nature of this type of store means that there are often a couple of different places a book might logically be shelved. That quality makes it even more important that they are so helpful and welcome questions. Dont miss the fresh brownies at the checkout counter!!

Its not the biggest bookstore in Colorado Springs, but both the quality and selection are excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful without being pushy, and the cat, a Russian blue, is also friendly without being pushy. Whats not to love? Its a good place to be, and when Im looking for anything, the Bookman is always my first stop. I used to hang at Yes! Bookstore in Georgetown; now Im happy to hang at the Bookman.

Im a major book junkie, so this place is great. The staff has always been really friendly, welcoming, and knowledgable. Ive found a lot of new favorite authors here, and had some great conversations. The atmosphere is really relaxed, and they encourage you to grab a chair and read for awhile. There are two big gray cats that like to greet me at the door and ask to be petted. A real home away from home.

Ive shopped the Bookman since they opened in 91 and have always enjoyed my stops there. There is are shelves and shelves of old books with a browsing atmosphere that is rare anymore. The friendly, knowledgeable staff will greet you then leave you to browse for hours. The selection is good and the location is easy to find with good parking. Bonus, 2 cats in-house and chairs to relax in and read.

The one thing I hate about this place is how snooty and crappy the staff are. The prices are right, but it costs you in self esteem somehow to walk through their doors, like you should be honored they allow you in. Almost worth it to pay a discounted price at B&N just to avoid the attitude, which I hear comes from the top on down.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!!!!!!! You dont accuse a customer of stealing and chase them out to their car ONLY to see a spiral paper notebook with my list of books I was looking for. You make sure you know what you are doing ...cameras are used for that!!. SHAME ON YOU. I will never come back to your goofy store again.

Visited for the first time today. Rachel was so helpful and friendly. They have every genre imaginable, quite the large selection! They even have 2 bookstore cats that are so friendly. We cant wait to go back. Buy 3 books and your 4th is free (the least expensive).

LOVE THIS BOOK STORE! I love coming in here and browsing for what could be hours. The staff is friendly and knowledgable and they will discuss with you books and life and everything inbetween. It is a great place to get a book and have a conversation. Awesome!

Very chill atmosphere. They dont mind if you plop down on the floor to look through the low treasures. Take your time.
