I ordered a CamelBack backpack online and had it shipped to this store. Sierra Trading Post had the best price for the backpack compared to any other retailers online. It arrived at the store pretty quickly. The sales floor was nice and tidy. No one was behind the pick-up counter at the back of the store when I arrived. An employee walked up behind me and another customer waiting at the counter. I was in line first but was ignored and the other customer was helped before me. Another employee eventually came over to the counter to help me. When he returned with my box, he asked if I would like for him to open it. I very clearly stated that I would like to see the item before leaving, just to make sure it was in good condition. After he finished processing the pick-up for me. He handed me the box without opening it and walked away. Very poor customer service! I shouldt have to cause a fuss to get some help. I think Ill be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

Sierra Trading Post online has almost everything at cheap prices. The physical store has some of this and some of that at ordinary prices. So this might lead to a little disappointment. Its not REI, even with four times the footprint of the nearest REI. For instance, I asked for ponchos. There were...no cheap ponchos, no expensive ponchos, but a whole aisle of pet accessories and a rack of packs. Just around the corner was a spotty, inadequate display of freeze dried meals with an equal sized display of silicone camping dishware. In other words, you can find many things for an outdoor life, but this is not the store youre looking for to pick up what youre missing.

I have been here only a few minutes, but I like the store already . Its big, clean and has a lot of very popular brands, the prices seem reasonable. Interesting that I also find quite a few European brands like Jack Wolfskin, Marker Lowe and a few other brands that I havent seen anywhere else yet.i ll definitely take my kids here to get outfitted for this winter. The only thing that could possibly be a handicap for Sierra Trading is that they are a little bit tucked away behind Hobby Lobby in the corner.

Helpful staff! Had questions about some camelbak features, staff was available to answer them like Id expect an REI employee to do. Upon checking out, I asked for a measuring tape to be sure of dimensions for traveling... and the clerk had one on his badge. Seriously cant beat that level of service and the price was great, too. Wasnt 5 stars because theyre a back stock retailer and dont have more options, but it certainly aint a "Ross for outdoor gear" like many have told me.

If youre looking for something specific, you may want to go somewhere else. These are bulk buys and fairly hit or miss. I found the staff to be marginally knowledgeable about gear specifics. Its not entirely their fault because of the manufacture closeouts, the specs change. The thing I didnt like at all was all the information they wanted at checkout. I just want to buy my stuff and get out. Stop with all the questions.

Very pleased with this sporting goods store! I had a return, and they were incredibly willing to help me resolve the issue. They suggested alternative products when the one I brought back was defective, and they gave me tips and guidance as to their stores receipt policy as well as dressing for Colorado weather. Clearly, this store takes great pride in having well informed and friendly staff!

My wife and I went to the new Colorado Springs store last night and had a great shopping experience. Unlike REI their prices were very reasonable. I almost considered telling people that we did not like STP to keep all to ourselves, but that would not be cool. We are already planning to do our Christmas shopping there. We spent about $250, but saved $400. We highly recommend STP!

Amazing service. Great pricing. Im like a kid in a candy store at this place. Tons of outdoor gear from shoes and boots to tents and backpacking gear... They have it all. And if its not in the store, you can order it from their website through a kiosk in the store -- free shipping to the store and free returns if you get the wrong size. What more can you ask for?

Great outdoor gear at fantastic prices. Its a new store with a helpful and friendly staff. I hope that more people discover this great store so they stick around. They have a secondary visibility and access profile. Be sure and check out their daily barnburners on their website. The earlier in the AM that you check them, the better the selection.

Sometimes they have some awesome stuff.. Sometimes they do not have anything. I think they have a better selection online. The only thing that draws me away from making big purchases such as a tent is that once you open it the item can not be returned for any reason. Thats pretty lame because what if it is missing something or is damaged?

I have been a faithful customer of STP online for years. Ive never visited the store. Lately their deals are not as good and their selection worse. On two separate recent orders Ive placed- for over $600- I received defective and/or damaged merchandise. I think its time to look elsewhere which is really a shame.

SO happy we have a location in the Springs. I have been buying from them Online for years. Seriously my favorite source for high quality outdoor goods (camping, technical gear, winter clothing). Prices that REI cant touch. You have to go in with an open mind, however, as they have a rotating stock.

Selection is almost always hit or miss. Trying to find a size 12.5 in any shoe is a bit challenging unless you are willing to order online and have shipped to the store. Jackets and outerwear can be a great deal but it can be tough to find your size unless you are a S or XXXL.

Cant believe this was my first time here! Special thanks to Mathew for such amazing customer service, he was awesome. I figured Id be lucky if I left with a decent pair of rain pants under $50, ended up getting a rain jacket and pants for $50! Will definitely be coming back

I will give them five stars because if you like high end merchandise but dont like high prices then this is your spot. You may not hit the jackpot everytime but I got a nice underarmor shirt for twenty some dollars. Nice!!

Been to the new store a few times. Great inventory and prices on most things. But, the thing that impresses me the most is the friendliness, helpfulness, and sense of humor of the of the staff. Sure glad you are in COS now.

Always a good deal to find here. I visit our Colorado Springs store at least monthly to see what theyve got. Some of my favorite clothes are recent Sierra Trading Post finds. Nice staff. The store is always clean.

This place rocks! Good prices, good products. Every employee is so helpful. They have a 90 day return policy. How awesome is that? If you are out doorsy then this is your place. They also have great dog accessories.
