After snowboarding all day on rental equipment last Friday, my husband and I thought about buying our own equipment before heading back to the mountain the next day, so we went to Christy Sports at Park Meadows Mall to check out the selection. We arrived around 7:30pm and an associate named DJ greeted us promptly. We told him what we were looking for and he spent the next 30 minutes explaining the features of various snowboards and sharing his own experience with us. We hadn’t committed to buying anything when we walked in but DJ was so knowledgeable and pleasant we were excited to ask him help us pick out the best boards for our needs and budget. By this time the store was closed and I was a little bummed that we might have to come back another time to pick out boots and bindings. To our surprise, DJ assured us there was no rush and he didn’t mind staying late to help us out. Travis, the assistant manager, also came by and let us know he’d keep one register open for us. We were really thankful the staff went above and beyond to make sure we got everything we needed. We both tried on 4-5 pairs of boots and DJ listened patiently to our feedback and gave us his fair opinion of them. When we finally finished picking out boots and bindings, it was after 9pm. We want to give our sincere thanks to DJ, Travis, and “Chopsticks” for all the help and advice they gave us. It is easy to see that the staff really enjoy what they do and they work well together. Because of their superb customer service and awesome team work, my husband and I had a fantastic day on the slopes the next day with our own brand new equipment!

Derek was awesome at introducing me to the right boot "fit" took his time to share his experience and was a total treat to be around. He gets 5 stars. Their rental process is smooth and convenient...VERY MUCH SO WORTHY OF 5 STARS AS WELL. However, I returned to purchase skis, bindings, boots and helmets to be helped by a different person, I believe his name was Ben. I understand that we all have bad days so I made the extra effort to be friendly and open to advice...However, I received the worst customer service Ive ever experienced from an obviously expensive purchase and "high end" retailer. I get it, I dont know anything about skis, THATS WHAT YOURE THERE FOR DUDE. I do know something about customer service and I would never have a teammate like that on my retail floor or even on my staff. The poor gentlemen sitting there trying on boots with me was subjected to the same treatment and he left stating "hed be purchasing his boots at eskimo" (not sure what that is). People are excited to make purchases like that and most are wanting to absorb your knowledge. Upon leaving the equipment I want on hold with them I am searching for other options to purchase the same equipment elsewhere. Total bummer for this location...like I said, I know people have bad days, but that was painful. Everyone else Ive encountered there is great and I would absolutely recommend giving them a try! - Update* Just went back to try again and was helped by Roy. He was awesome, personable and helped me figure everything out from the skis, boots, bindings to base layers and headphones. Best of the best. Thanks! Previous 3 stars now 5.

Ive been a poor school teacher for five years and growing up in the flat lands of Ohio, I never really cared to buy ski equipment. I always borrowed my friends gear and rented heavily used equipment for ski trips. Finally, I decided it was time to buy some boots. I knew very little about boots, except that they are expensive. I walked into the store and was immediately greeted by the best beared associate, Ben. Ben was friendly and listened to what I was looking for and made great recommendations that suited me. He didnt try to sell me a boot that didnt fit or one that was far out of my price range. He really listened. After trying out some boots, the boot I needed was not in the store, so he made a quick call, and had the boot for me the next day. It was affordable and they felt great. Ben told me how to take care of my boots and adjusted my bindings. Because Im an English teacher, I was also impressed, at another associates ability to quote The Great Gasby. These people are awesome! I left feeling excited for my ski trip and also felt that I had given my hard earned money to a business that treats customers like real people. I even learned a few things. His generosity of his knowledge and time is greatly appreciated. I felt Ben really went above and beyond what anyone else in his position would do. I would highly recommend this store if you want to buy excellent equipment from genuine people.

Rarely am I moved to write a review, but the outstanding service I got today was absolutely necessary to review Christy Sports in Park Meadows. Earlier today, I was moments away from buying a ski/boot/binding set from another online retailer. My husband suggested I try some boots on first to make sure the sizing was correct (for the record, I was way off). I called Christy Sports to see if they had the boots in stock. Within a few minutes of talking to Travis on the phone, I realized I would be buying my new digs from him later that day as he humorously yet patiently explained to me why I was about to be making a big mistake buying the package sight unseen. Yes, I spent a few more dollars than I would have online but it was 100% worth it. Kerry and Travis fit me to skis and boots that are PERFECT for me. I would have been disappointed and frustrated had I purchased the original ski/book package online and wouldnt have near as personalized experience. Travis was also super helpful and sweet getting my kiddos set up who are just starting their ski adventures (while also helping with moms checkbook). Go to Christy Sports. Ask for Travis for overall help. And if you want perfectly fit ski boots, ask for Kerry. Tell them Dora and the "chicken beans" sent you :)

AWESOMENESS. Thursday morning at 9-ish I walked in to the REI (sorry) in Lonetree. I wanted to buy skis, boots and poles. A clerk flagged down two guys who pretty much showed no interest in helping me even though the store was empty. Next, I called the REI downtown (sorry) to check on price ranges, availability, wait times for ski bindings. I got a totally iffy response in every area. I had called Christie Sports, Lonetree, on Wednesday and was told I could probably walk out with bindings if I came in on Thursday. Needless to say my next stop was Christie Sports. As soon as I walked in the door, I was connected with Kyle. I was so blown away by his knowledge, his willingness to answer questions, and his overall helpfulness that I didnt know how to describe the experience. I walked into Christies feeling completely lost and resigned to renting skis for a Monday ski trip and I walked out of Christies actually feeling kind of knowledgeable. I walked out of Christies with a perfect pair custom molded-to-fit ski boots, skis and poles. Thank you Kyle and Ill be back before too long with family! By the way, Christies has a WIDE range of stock and prices.
