I got home after a long day at work and realized we were out of water so my fiancé and I decided to stop by Natural Grocers on South Nevada to pick some up before they closed. Immediately after entering the store we grabbed our water and ended up picking up some extras, as per usual. As I made my way to cosmetics to look for an eyebrow pencil I noticed an employee staring at me. When we made eye contact she finally decided to ask me if I needed any help. I informed her I was looking for an eyebrow pencil and I couldn’t find one. She then points to some blue, purple and green eyeliners and says with a disgusted look on her face “well there’s some right there”. I then respond with “well I’m really looking for a natural colored one that will match my eyebrows” I then notice a couple of black and brown ones and ask her which ones she thinks would look better and she completely ignores my question and mentions the price. I respond uneasily with a simple ok and continue to decide which color would suite me best. After deciding on black I turned around and noticed some natural perfume and picked out an amber scented one and start walking towards the supplements and notice my fiancé isn’t near me anymore. I then decide that I didn’t truly want the two cosmetics I had decided on and I would just order from the company I normally get them from. I then walk back to the isle and place the eyeliner and perfume back. After not being able to find him on a quick scan of the store I decided to go look for him and notice the same employee, following me around the store, making me extremely uncomfortable. After locating him we walked to the chip isle and grabbed a few items and then decided to head to check out. Upon checking out I notice her, yet again at the end of the checkout line looking through the items as the cashier pushed them through the scanner. After finishing up our purchase, she asks me with a smug look on her face “where did you put that eyeliner? I need to make sure it’s still in the inventory”. I then tell her that I put it back in the isle, along with the perfume. She then demands that I show her where. By this point I’m thoroughly upset and embarrassed and proceed to walk to the isle and point out where I placed the items, which, mind you were placed in the exact place they were before I had ever picked them up. I was so upset by this experience my fiancé went and told the two employees that profiling me based on my appearance is not ok and asked them for their names to report them to the store manager and they were reluctant to do so. I have been a customer of natural grocers for years and this experience has thoroughly disgusted and put me off of the company completely. I thought that in this day and age, appearance didn’t matter and It has nothing to do with character. The way I was treated in this store proves I’m clearly mistaken.

How come I have to leave a star, theyre not even worth 1!! ... Every time I come to this store I find about 1 out of the 4 things Im looking for! This is THE WORST natural grocers in Colorado Springs PERIOD.. The employees here are VERY stand-off ish, and act like theyre too good for their job. I constantly have to travel clear across town to another Natural Grocers to find what I was originally looking for. They continue to ask me did you find everything you were looking for?, I tell them No and what I was looking for... Whats the point? Your never going to carry it, so why waste your breath to ask?? They must like to hear themselves talk.... seriously, I do 90% of my shopping from Natural Grocers. I love Natural Grocers; so to have a store that does not carry most of what the others do, I am left asking myself what is the point of this stores existence? I guess it wants to keep up the broke down neighborhood look like the rest of the neighborhood around it... my advice... go to another store, save your time!

The buses go right to this store allowing low-carbon transport. They have the best quality and standards when you know what you want. When they have Kolona milk, solid white and local honey, pasture raised eggs, I could keep going I love this place so much(if you want meat theres alot of local farmers you might check out online, but always make sure theyre organic; Ive found some want to charge an arm and a leg, and I wouldnt give them a toenail if theyre part of the problem. My own opinion ) I have never felt judged shopping here, and Since I wear old/recycled clothes and make min. Wage I can really appreciate this, in my opinion they understand alternative perceptions/priorities. Keep it up you have my money every 2wks. Thank you so much for not selling out as others have. Ps if you could carry mayo that doesnt contain canola and is not owned by the list of anti-gmo-labeling companies that would be awsome.update:(you now carry a better brand of mayo) I freakin love you guys!!

It was my first time going and I wont go back. Only one person didnt act like they had something better to do than help (2 were flat-out rude: one of those 2 gave me a hard, unwelcome look and walked past me to help someone else, and the other one ignored me when I asked for help). Ill just stick to Amazon; their customer service is the best and I know I can get way better prices too. I only give 2 stars because they had what I needed, even though it was more expensive than I could get elsewhere.

My wife and I visited this location, and my wife was approached by an employee, who asked her: "Is there something in your pocket?" My wife replied, "My phone." Then the employee proceeded to invite my wife to an event, as if to excuse the fact she just accused her of shoplifting. We immediately left having been treated like thieves. Thanks for the unpleasant experience, and you should do a better job of valuing loyal customers, as you have now lost our business.

One of my new favorite stores!!! If you or someone you love cant eat corn or wheat, this is a life-saver. We tried tons of other stores to get an easy dessert without these ingredients, and it was a nightmare. It wouldve been faster to bake something, if we hadnt decided to stop at this store! So many delicious and relatively inexpensive options for our needs, woohoo! Produce looked great too. Nice cashiers, and clean store. Loved it!

Bagger went back and asked the checkout person to remove a case discount from 12 sardines after they have been rung up, because it was a mixture of flavors, even though they were the same brand and the same price. Four were a different flavor because there werent enough of the first flavor. I wont be going back. Update: one of the tubs of Greek yogurt I bought there had gone bad.

Best health store in town! Brenda the manager makes sure the store is always consistent in the highest standards ! Karen head cashier is so conscientious and always helpful . "Awesome Gary as he is know, has the nicest personality and keeps the produce at its best ! Everyone there is wonderful and helpful. I love this store !!! The prices are the best in town.
