Why do we support local business? Because local business is community. They provide us with service, products and customer satisfaction, right? So why not just order something off of the internet? I bet you can find a cheaper price! Sure, if something shows up defective or wrong, you call the company, fill out the correct paperwork and handle the return yourself, but you saved money, right? As a local business owner myself, I love our community of businesses and all that we offer. As a local business owner, I stand behind every service I provide! Unfortunately, not all businesses in our community operate on these same standards. This past Fathers Day my wife bought me a $300 pair of sunglasses (Rudy Project, ImpactX) from In-Sight Optical and the lenses were defective. I thought for sure In-Sight Optical would honor the warranty. I paid $300 for these sunglasses, so why wouldnt they honor the warranty. Unfortunately that is not the case. I went into the store and the store owner all but told me it was my problem. His words, "Here is a number, call the manufacturer." This in not customer service! FYI - I looked them up online and found the exact pair for less! FRUSTRATING!

Dave yelled at me on the phone after telling him I found the same yr supply contacts for $23 with my insurance benefit. He said he could do $30 with my insurance benefit. When I told him I would save the $7 he yelled at me on the phone saying, "$7 is that important to you?" I dont consider that any kind of customer service. He also put my daughter in an older lense and didnt give us the option of the newer, higher moisture content lense. When I called around to price the lenses with my insurance of the lense they put her in, they all said why would any office put her in those dry old lenses instead of the newer advance plus lenses or oasys.? The new lense is better and less expensive. Dave did not offer until I told him what the others said. Then he yelled at me for wanting to save $7. If you are a woman, dont go to Dave. He completely harassed me.

We really enjoy doing business with In-Sight Optical. They are local, they are close and they are very reasonable. They have a great selection of frames, lenses and sun glasses. Ive tried the "discount" stores and the online stores but we love the attention and assistance we get from them. Not only do they do a super job, they adjust your glasses for free. We really appreciate all the service and expertise they provide. In my line of work, customer service is our top priority and it is no different with them. We recommend In-Sight Optical to all of our near and far sighted friends!

Fast courteous service to repair my frames. Except for $117 I expect the new bridge to be straight and not miss alligned. I will be returning my frames to be done properly. In two visits to this optical shop I never saw anyone but assistants. **I amended my rating to be fair. Dave called me and offered to look at my frames, however I think I will just return them to where I bought them because they were guaranteed for life. I am out of town and my frames were broken during travel, I appreciate getting them fixed quick locally!

Ive had the displeasure of working with Dave. He ordered products for me when I had called to ask what the price would be. Now Im out my contact benefits for the year and have literally nothing from them. I told Dave to cancel my order and I would come in to pick up a written prescription so I could buy my contacts elsewhere. He told me it was too late and hung up on me. Oh, and I was overcharged for my exam too. I will amend my review if they would like to come to a resolution.

I chose In-Sight because of the location, and am extremely happy with the service I received! They got me in as a brand new patient within 24 hours for the exam. They had a great selection of frames to choose from and they took care of everything with my insurance. I received my new sunglasses in a very short time (one week), and they made sure they fit before I walked out! LOVE my new sunglasses! Excellent Experience! I highly recommend!!!

I just came into town for a funeral. When I took my glasses out of the suitcase the frame was bent and my lense had popped out. I stopped in and Mo helped me out. She straightened the frame, put the lense back in and adjusted them for me and would not let me pay her for all her trouble. I sure wish you were in Illinois so I could do all my buisness with you! Thanks again Mo!

This place is awesome! They snuck me into the schedule today last minute so that I would have contacts for a work trip I was taking in a few days. The staff is amazing and so kind and helpful - thanks Brandy! The optometrist was also efficient and quick and professional.
