I went to this Safeway to get a Delicious sandwich from the deli . When I arrived at the counter all of the workers looked at me as if they were mad that I wanted a sandwich . I proceeded to ask one of the men if I can please order a sandwich and he sighed and went to the back for about 2 minutes then came back and he told the other gentlemen to take my order . His face expression looked very frustrated then he told something to his women coworker and they started laughing . As he was making my sandwich , he made it very sloppy and didnt add certain things on the sandwich when I asked him to . He rushed me away without even giving me my ranch to my chicken wings that I previously ordered before the sandwich . Instead he put mayonnaise in the cup and I find that very lazy and rude . For that experience , I decided to give 1 star

My experience was exceptional. My wife and I bought a packaged of Orgainic beef, priced tag showed $6.99 but then we checked out it was $7.99 . We went back to the meat department and spoke to Mike. He apologized and told it is it was incorrectly labeled and took us to the customer service and gave us refund for the full price and we get to keep the item. Wow! We have never had any store ever done that and handled the situation with such politeness and professionalism. We just moved to West Sacramento and started to shop at Safeway because The Nugget store is way over priced. Safeway has very reasonable pricing and the customer service here is excellent! Mike at the meat department made our shopping experience very pleasant and will be coming back for sure. Thank you Mike! You made our day!

Must have a new manager because since the last few months, there is never more than 2 cashiers, If you want to buy a sandwich from the deli stand...becareful because the pre sliced meat and veggies are always old. I brought my corncerns to the manager and I dont see any improvements. Ive seen a huge employee turn over rate but honestly I think most of them were moved or fired to reduce the money they pay each employee. The customer service desk is always closed because the counter person has to work in the store in floral. This store used to me great but now I travel 30 mins to a better branch.

Arrived to find all their carts chained together before 7PM this evening. Had to do my shopping in a hand held basket & when I went to check out they had only 2 lanes open with the lines so long that they ran into each other. The large blonde women in customer service was rude to unhappy customers and she & another staff member were just talking & laughing as customers complained and left behind their groceries to leave the store angry or disappointed like myself.

Ive had issues where the night staff will say the system is messed up after handing me my receipt, the receipt isnt printed all the way and they over charged my account. This same thing happened to my girl friend and they wouldnt refund the stolen money because we "could be lying" since our perches was too close to 11:00pm and thats when they close. It isnt right, I didnt know Safeway hired career criminals.

Not the best Safeway out there. If you need to pick up milk or need to grab a sandwich for lunch, then this may be your best bet. I would suggest that you go to the Raleys down West Capitol Avenue if you want a better grocery store to shop at, and if you are willing to drive there, the Nugget in West Sacramento is better still.

Just for you doesnt give a lot of discounts and you dont save that much. Pretty pricey and not that awesome quality stuff. Also, employees arent that friendly. Surprisingly, Walmart employees are a lot nicer than Safeway employees. Maybe Safeway should pay their employees less, so that they will be more humble.

Great place run by an awesome manager at night. Evenings are rough when only 2 lanes are open and people wait in lines that flow into the grocery isles but I overheard the cashiers complain about cut backs amongst themselves.. thinking about it they often hold many tmi convos between themselves

Safeway just refuses to help people eat affordably. Their prices are exorbitant, they dont treat their employees like people, just sales generators. They are somehow still riding the notoriety of the earlier days of local groceries. They dont offer samples in the produce department.

This is the worst Safeway... Lots of riff raff around, especially at night. The store itself is small, lots of things they dont have that I can find at other grocery stores, and things r smashed in strange places. The checker held me hostage telling me stories I didnt care to hear.

Walk thru the door, instantly the Cool air w/ fresh smell of fruits and veggies. But first I need to stop and smell the Roses and dozens of assorted brightest color flowers.. I truly enjoyed the time that I originally dreaded. Very clean assorted foods.

Not a good place to bring your kids. I cant even walk in the store EVER without tweaker homeless people bothering me for change all while Im carrying my baby. There are bums hangin outside the front door of the store AT ALL TIMES, day or night. Not safe.

Every time I visit the lines are ridiculously long and move very, very slowly. This last visit I waited in the express lane for 25 minutes. It was insane. Friendly checker, but absolutely awful experience to stand in line that long to purchase one item.

The workers are very,very nice...but your store is very dirty too many bums outside digging in the trash dirty basket need to clean the basket more often too many animals coming in the store in the baskets thats very dirty please make changes

I love this Safeway because its near my home and the service is good hear. The reason I give it 5 Stars is cause the store is clean, all the merchandise is always stocked. And they always have great tasting hot food and deli sandwiches.

Prices arent bad especially if your a member. Flower lady is pretty with gorgeous eyes. Cashiers are very nice and helpful. If a rush comes in sometimes there could be a line. But overall great place to food shop.

Good service from employees. However, there is a huge population of homelessness and not only all over the place but they use the bathroom in safeway and just filthy as they even wash up in there. Really discussing.

The cashiers and meat department go far and beyond for the customer! The deli I totally avoid as they are always so rude. The homeless keep me away from going as much as I would like to. They need security.

The produce is not fresh, there are many items you can get at other Safeway locations that you cant get here, their ice has always melted and then refrozen into big chunks, and the lines are always long.
