I had a sword engraved here. They charged me an exorbitant amount (upwards $50) for so few letters, and the sword was so lightly engraved you had to angle it under the right light to see it. The employees are overly courteous to the point it arouses suspicion, and they oversell their promises in order to make a sale. Also, their machine left some permanent stains after the engraved letters. Personally, I am outraged, because this sword is a gift for my fraternal brother and now its been permanently depreciated. My once prestigious gift is now embarrassingly tarnished.

Your one stop shop for strange stuff, party gear, and of course Halloween needs. Originally an ancient Celtic/Druid thing, where they believed executed criminals and evil spirits would terrorize the living for a night. People wore masks to blend in and put offerings in front of their dwellings. This was co-opted by the Church and combined with All Souls Day. Why get rid of the original flavor? So Ahhs!! has what you need and the staff is very helpful, to fulfill all your efforts to blend in with the spirits.

If youre in santa monica and need a party city but dont want to drive that far and youre willing to pay a little extra then aahs is for you. However, if you, like me, are looking for super interesting (with a dark side) off the wall books, cards, novelties, etc. a la "The Black" in san diego or "wacko" in hollywood then this place isnt what youre looking for. Gotta love the free parking in their lot next door though.

Best selection of cards I think I have ever seen. Lots of cute San Francisco themed greeting cards and clever/quirky/funny cards for just about anyone or anything. This store is the reason I have reverted to snail mailing my friends and family for every possible occasion. The service, however, is not exceptionally friendly, hence 4 rather than 5 stars.

Took some Coach wallets here to get them monogrammed as groomsmen gifts. Called, was quoted $15 each and that theyd be ready in a week. When I got there, she charged me $12 each and they were ready in 5 days. She was much nicer in person than she was on the phone, and they did a very nice, subtle job. Would go there again in a heartbeat.

Called yesterday to ask if they had capes the sort that dracula would wear. The guy on the phone said yes. I went in and they didnt have any. They had lots of crap clothing like what you see at the tourist traps on hollywood blvd. Not recommended.

I always feel like I need a shower after walking into that place. It seems a bit dirty, and always disheveled. But they have lots and lots of stuff. Lots of clever stuff. Great place to go to find a unique gift or gag gift.

Awesome store, I rarely leave with hands empty. Most of the things I want or sound cool are actually cheap. Huge second floor with lots of costumes. Like Spencers Gifts on steroids.
