This review is specific to the service department, which is run separately from the store. Probably one of the worst customer service experiences Ive ever had. Ive given this location multiple chances, but have decided after the 3rd failure to provide decent customer service on a recent visit. I scheduled an appointment for service over the phone, specifying that I would need to come and get the basic tire service done while I waited. I was assured it wouldnt be a problem. I showed up on time for the appointment at 10am, and told the service desk person to make sure it was okay to get this service done while I waited. I was reassured that it would be fine to wait. So I sat in their waiting room. At around the 4.5 hour mark I finally followed up with the person, who told me the car was on the last step of the inspection I had requested. He told me, it should be 30 minutes. I waited 45 minutes, followed up again and was told there was another car in front now, and I should be next - now with no estimated time. I finally received my car back 6 hours and 40 minutes from when I showed up for my appointment. Another gentleman in the waiting room was there over 3.5 hours for a simple oil change. This place is the absolute worst run pep boys or auto service business Ive ever encountered. Unfortunately I purchased my tires here thinking I could use their included rotations & balancing service, but its clear that it will be borderline unusable if I have to take a full day to get anything even looked at. If you value your time go to any independent garage, its just not worth the incompetence and inefficiency youll have to deal with here. Theres a reason its not even above 3 stars here.

1.5 STARS I live 5 min from this store. Came in for a brake inspection and pads. They offered me a job for just over $500 that I passed on because I could have bought cross drilled better then OEM disks and pads on line for $380. Once I stated that to the "shop manager" we ended up negotiating a $250 brake and disk job. ISSUE 1- brakes not just seemed but screamed less then 3 days after. Took it back, had it documented and duplicated the issue (allways go on the ride withe the mechanic) and they end up putting new hardware; whatever that is, that I assumed should have been on the "brake job" to begin with and resurfacing. 3 hour wait. Two days later brakes still squealing. I took it back, complained that I never had squealing brakes in my life and it was unacceptable. Watched the mechanic drive my SUV around the block and heard the brakes as he entered the drive way. I was told that "I should have broken them in" by doing a series of speed & distance stopping. I guess I should have known that because......why? They end up putting OEM pads on it as told to me. 6 days later brakes now scream! I take it back, and tell them it is comming from the front. After a 6 hour brake job wait and them putting on ceramic brake pads, no resurface and the mechanic stated on the inspection sheet that he could not duplicate the problem. With a total 8 visits to see the store manager & shop manager and the 4 times my SUV was on the rack within this 2 month period my conclusion is this: DONT GET YOUR BRAKES DONE AT PEP BOYS THE MATERIAL IS JUNK AND SERVICE NOT "CONSISTENTLY" PER PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS. To this day my brakes sqeal rather then scream each and everytime I brake when over 20 MPH.

Horrible Customer Service! I took my car in about 6 weeks ago to have my battery replaced. I came in at 12:30PM on a Sunday. I was 2nd in line awaiting to be helped. Two service reps were sitting at terminals ignoring the 5 people waiting in line. No one said, "well be right with you", or nothing. When the gentleman in front of me asked if someone can help him, a rep looked up from the terminal and asked "What do you need". The rep assisting the man took 30mins to finish with him. Mind you the other service rep at the terminal still never bothered to look up. Once I was helped, by the same person who assisted the man in front of me, he never apologized for the long wait. It was close to 2PM. He did his check of my car, and notified me that my brake lights were out and asked it I wanted the lamp replaced, I agreed. I was told it would take about 1/12 hours for them to install a freakin battery, and replace a brake light lamp! 3hours later I got back in line to find out how much longer it would be. I received a call from the other guy at the terminal, who never offered to help those waiting in line, alerting me that my car was ready, while I was standing in line! I was at PEP BOYS for from 12:30-5PM. Today(6 wks later, remember?) I discovered that my brake light is still out!!! I want to take my car back so that they can take care of it, but I dont want to deal with my time being wasted, nor the sucky customer service! The owners should take this feedback and make some changes, because they are not the only auto service center in town!

Went there for oil change and brake pad change, store staff told me he will call me in 2 hours after they did brake inspection for an estimate.i left the car and no call after 4 hrs,i called them, and they didnt do anything yet after 4 hrs, they then told me they will call back in half an hour for the estimate,i told them i dont need estimate,i just want to change brake pad,but they said they need to do mmeasurement, and cant promise until they can take a look at and find out what needs to be done.after another 30mins,they called and told me that they cant just change the brake pad but need to change the rotor as well, that will cost me $400+,and they wont even have enough time to do that since the whole day has wasted.i told them cancel the brake service, and asked them about the if they done with oil change, they said they are working on it now and told me to come back another hour.so from 12pm to 6pm,they only finished oil change.very unhappy and wasted time.the next day,i went to a real auto shop, and asked for brake pad change, the mechanic helped me changed in one hour and explained that the rotor will need to change only when it is making sounds,i am happy and the cost only $120,so if you want get something done,go to a real shop and look for a real mechanic, the people their only knows to rid you off and waste your time, they dont look at urs as precious as theirs.

Absolute robbery!!! Dont ever go there for a Lyft inspection as after passing everything on the inspection form they will go after anything else that will make them money even not on the inspection form and make you do it right there and pay twice the price. For instance, if your wipers are a bit used while you know you replaced them not so long ago and they still have months before you need to replace them they fail your car inspection and make you buy from them twice the price or if you waned to fix on your own and came back you have to pay $17 again for the inspection you just paid and they say this is how Lyft wants them to do which I am sure Lyft doesnt know about this. When they try to exploite a basic inspection this much, I wont even bother imagining how they rip off their regular customers. Anyone going there! Please be aware!!! Ask questions why something needs to be done and check if you can do that somewhere else half the price. Their staff is mostly extremely rude to you if you were a bit smart and asked a couple questions to make sure not to be ripped off but if you said Ok to everything they recommend they are pretty good. Please be aware!!! Please ask questions
