Honestly... Im disappointed. I am visiting from Washington and for as long as I can remember have LOVED, and I mean LOVE New Seasons Market stores. They are all over the Portland/Vancouver area and are thriving, friendly, up lifting places to go. It was always an adventure to go and have GREAT service and GREAT foods. I moved last year 3 hours away from the nearest New Seasons and was very sad. But this summer I decided to take a trip down to the Bay Area where I grew up and was excited to see they built a New Seasons store in San Jose. I decided to drive 40 minutes out of my just to venture to this store, and with in minutes I was like "ehhh". Its really no different then a Whole Foods. Sure the selection may be similar to that of the NW Stores, but some awesome key items were missing. I think part of the problem is this store is put in a area that is some what yuppy, surrounded by newer home developments in a small shopping strip up on a hill. Part of what makes New Seasons stores so absolutely AWESOME is the area they are placed and the people that work there. This store has none of that! All the workers where very uniform looking with no personality or facial expression. Many seemed put off when you asked for service. Again, not what I am accustomed to. There was only one employee in the whole store that I saw that seemed to enjoy their job, and he was making smoothies. The cashier was nice enough, but when I stated my seemingly let down experience, she was just like... "its morning, were not awake yet"... or something like that. I think maybe someone in management, should go up to Portland and venture ALL the stores to see what type of atmosphere New Seasons really encompasses. This store has the base premise and idea, but that is far as it goes. Pep up, smile, individualize, and act happy!

One of my favorite places to go in the neighborhood. I am appreciative that there is a store of this caliber and quality in the Evergreen area again--referencing the Lunardis previously located up Aborn. I share similar opinions with some of the other review writers (recent hot food service lady was rude, but hopefully she gets it together or isnt there long) however, one bad seed does not prevent me from enjoying the other great employees. Some folks might say "yuppie" however, Id say this store brings in people from all walks of life that have at least one thing in common; healthy eating. Better than a Whole Foods without the lines. New Seasons, formerly New Leaf, compares to any other specialty health food store, except it rocks! The juicing counter, the bakery, and the wine selection are some of my favorite things. This store is truly a community grocer.

Worst customer service at the sandwich counter. The girl was super rude. My family and I went to the sandwich counter and were treated poorly. The counter person stood as far away from us at the deli meat counter and asked in a rude tone if she could help us. She then proceeded to tell us from afar to file out the sandwich order sheets. She made her way over and looked at the sheets and started to get the rolls. She looked up at us and said that it was going to take her a while and that we shouldnt stand there and wait rather we should look around. Again this wasnt in a friendly tone. We did that and when we returned she was talking to another employee and hadnt even started the condiments. We waited over 10 mins and then decided to leave without getting the sandwiches. The worst customer service from this person we have ever received.

I live in Portland, OR and was really excited to hear about New Seasons opening in my hometown! Im not sure but I believe theyre affiliated but not exactly part of the same parent company. A lot of the same high quality products are offered here, and the store looks the same, but there are a few differences. I think the store is a bit on the small side and the customer service and knowledge of the staff in the Pacific Northwest is better. Exciting nonetheless!

I love everything about this market! The produce may cost a little more, but when you bite into one of their sweet and delicious strawberries, you wont mind a bit. They also have an awesome array of delicious cheeses, a fantastic olive bar, and just about the nicest staff you will ever meet.

This place used to be called New Leaf, now New Season. It is the only "natural" food store in the area. Great for finding organic foods, some local, and a bit of bulk. They do not have very many sales. However, prices are consistent and somewhat reasonable.

I love this place! Wine tastings with cheese pairings on Fridays make shopping so much fun. Great selection of organics and other specialty foods and a good selection of the staples. Better prices then other specialty stores and super friendly service.

I came here to attend a tasting of Tonis OATmeal. I like how clean and well organized the store is, as well as their great variety of healthy and organic foods. Also Tonis OATmeal is now offered here all the time...awesome!

Great selection and service. They have some products I cant find anywhere else in San Jose. Some prices seem a little high but you pay for quality and a really nice shopping experience. Great local business!

Similar to a Whole foods. Great produce and meat counter. Guys at the meat counter are always really nice, cahiers are not usually that friendly. Pretty location in the hills.
