I came in this store on a whim during my lunch break and it was a such a lovely, enjoyable experience. I guess I should preface this with the terrible foot pain I was experiencing from having worn my insoles down to almost nothing. From the instant I walked in, I was greeted, seated, had my feet examined and told what I need to relieve the pain. All the while, the store is literally filled with people running, walking and jumping about, trying on new shoes and what not. The workers were all polite, professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. I left the store with a brand new pair of customized insoles and extremely happy feet. Although they were somewhat pricey (no charge for the customization though), I am extremely glad I went ahead with the purchase as my foot pain has all but subsided. Without a doubt, I would recommend this store.

I would grant On the Run 5 stars for service alone. In an era of online sneaker shopping and automated everything, this is old fashioned service at its best. You come here because you are serious about finding the right fit to operate at peak performance, not because you are chasing the latest colorways for your kicks. They also carry their own line of custom designed inserts (the owner has been in this business for 40+ years). Bonus Tip: they do have a No Refund/Exchange only policy, but they will allow you to keep exchanging items until you find the perfect fit.

If you care about your body and you want knowledgeable people to partner with over proper fitting footwear for your sporting activities, you start here. in about 1977 or 1978 I started coming here for my running shoes. then, some years later, when my knees protested about the running, I switched to walking and hiking shoes. This is the only place I ever recommend to anyone for footwear. All the knee doctors (both sides of the Bay) Ive ever consulted know about this place, recommend it, and trust it. Look no further. Youve found the right place.

This is the only place I will go from now on. I happened to drop in while getting work done on my car across the street. I told Tim about some problems Ive had for the last couple years. He evaluated my feet, my walk, suggested a special insert and type of foot soak. After one week my feet are pain-free and happy for first time in 2-3 years. Outstanding service: knowledgeable, considerate, no hard-selling or up-selling. But Ill be going back for shoes and advice from now on.

Foot anatomy experts work here! I bought 3 pairs of shoes and 3 ortho inserts for my shoes. Im tired of buying shoes that dont for, or dont support. The $60 inserts are better than my custom made, $300 orthotics from my Podiatrist! Good selection of shoes....American & European brands. Not just practical, but cute shoes.....not old-lady looking! I can tell the difference in my feet and legs, after working 1 nursing shift, in my new shoes and inserts!

Excellent customer service. Multiple times theyve had me in the perfect walking shoes within minutes. This last trip was a particularly tricky one trying to find shoes to fit a post-operative ankle support wrap - and they were even able to fit me with a second wrap for swimming. After Sports Basement had completely failed to help me on either account, this was an especially gratifying visit. Good customer service makes all the difference in the world.

Great 5/5 if you get the correct staff to help. One of them is super pushy, rude and will nearly force you to purchase the shoe she tells you to. I have foot issues and usually they are great! I can jog without pain. Last itme this lady talked me into one pair and they suck! Of course the pain started after jogging in them for two weeks so I cant return them. Only okay cause it needs to be great everytime with every staff.

I dont think its news to anyone how great the personal, unusually patient and efficient service is at this store, which I discovered only today - having stayed away until now, suspecting higher prices than at less specialized places. Service was amazing, but the real surprise came after I discounted the high-price suspicion, bought a pair of New Balance 856 for tennis, came home, and checked on Amazon: SAME PRICE!

Outstanding - not only great selection of shoes and boots but the service is fantastic - Joe and Joey went above and beyond in making sure I was fitted properly (they are very knowledgeable about problem feet). I had to return a pair of shoes and inserts and they made the transaction easy and comfortable - I was impressed and very appreciative.

You cant be a barefoot philosophy person to go in here. But they only sell you what you need and give you a personalized fitting. The owner is gracious and funny. Highly recommended if you need foot comfort and care. Dont be surprised if they tell you to get rid of your flimsy unsupportive shoes.

Store is not big, but they do offer a good selection of merchandise at reasonable prices, Id say probably lower than REI or Sports Basement. They also carry uncommon brands from overseas. Staff is extremely corteous, which makes the shopping experience much more pleasant.

Are you an under/over pronator? Have them assess your gait, and gather suggestions on which types of sneaker/shoe(s) are best-suited for you and your tippies. Informative staff, non-pushy, and overall great customer service.

This shoe store specializes in running, walking and comfort shoes that are casual in styling. Some of the shoes can be expensive, but there is a reasonable size clearance corner where you can find bargains.

Decent brand selection of shoes. I mainly go here for my other needs (laces, cleaner, etc.). Shoes are a bit expensive. Go to Sports Basement or Fleet Feet if youre looking for more trail oriented shoes.
